Dover Estates Apartments

I would give 0/5 stars but the website won’t let so that; this place is an absolute slum. I wouldn't recommend this place even if it was your last option. I havent felt safe one day in this complex. I should have just continued living in my car if I knew all the issues and money I would waste on this place. Have a studio basement apartment, no functioning washer and dryer, the laundry room outside my apartment (literally 2 feet away) always has loud obnoxious kids yelling and smoking all the time, a homeless man with a sword also hid and stayed in the laundry room for over 2 months with no action taken by the landlord after I brought it their attention, told me I needed to call the police myself when THEY manage the property, multiple unsolved maintenance issues, air conditioning unit doesnt work after two months, stovetop appliances and oven are both garbage and burn everything or dont function at all, cockroaches and mice in the walls and home at all times of the year, random holes appearing and never filled when requested, toilet, bathroom sink and kitchen sink all have leaks and don’t drain properly, overall incompetent and uncommunicative staff, unless they’re hounding you for your overpriced rent charges. Have fun setting your trash on the road outside of the constantly overflowing dumpsters, or getting your toilet to flush and not clog if you’re lucky. Please do not rent here if you value your time, money, and security.

My family and I moved here back in the Spring. During the walkthrough I made sure to ask every question possible, especially about vermin. Kerri insisted that there are no issues with bugs and during our walkthrough I didn’t see any. Once moved in there was a MAJOR fly problem, literally had to set up fly traps all over the apartment and was killing at least 15 a day. Idk if it was because of the season or what but it’s disgusting. Roaches have also been a major problem here. We never dealt with roaches until we moved into this place. And the cherry on top, I seen a small mouse run from the living room into the kitchen. Idk if it because of the extreme cold weather but enough is enough. You can here chittering and scurrying in the ceiling at night. My family and I deserve way better and cannot wait for our lease to be over. Run don’t walk away from this place!

It is disgusting. We've had maintenance requests pending for weeks. There's standing bog water outside that stinks, the bathroom tub doesn't work, there's one drawer in the kitchen and the dishwasher wasn't installed properly. It's a mess. 0/10. Do not recommend.

The maintenance in not 24 hours. When I had a very serious issue they did not fix it until almost 4-5 days later and by then 75% of my stuff was ruined and there was black mold growing around the entire room.

The apartments are newly renovated and they look great! These apartments were built in the 1960's but they are now getting the upgrade that they need. I would suggest that anyone that is looking for an apartment, to move here now while the upgraded apartments are available at reasonable prices.

I live and work here. These apartments are not what it us to be unclean drugs and crime running all over the place. The people I work for is working hard to make this place great for all those who want to live here. Out with the old and in with the new. We've been at Dover Estates II for several years. The current staff is very friendly and very attentive to our needs. There have been some great maintenance and repair projects going on here at our property this summer and it is nice to see the owners taking an interest in making Dover Estates a nicer place to live.

I have been a resident of Dover Estates for 3 years now. The new management has made a very positive impact on our community. Our community is very quiet, relaxing and just enjoyable place to live. My favorite thing about living here is our in ground pool! Dover Estates is also very affordable as well!

The apartments are affordable. The renovations are great. The management are lovely people. The maintenance staff are awesome. 10 our of 10 would rent again.

I’ve lived here for three months now After searching for an apartment they were all run down but here at Dover Estates the management is friendly.I feel the price for rent is decent compared to other apartments that doesn’t include any utilities.The area isn’t bad the complex is being fixed up they have decent size apartments no bug issues thank god and the neighbors are quiet I would recommend moving here.

I’m really pleased with the New Management here at Dover Estates. The newly redone apartments are really pretty, and add so much personality to the community. When I recently had an issue, Management was very gracious and got to it right away, and they even followed up with me to make sure the service was good. Keep up the good work guys!!

Been living here for a while and they have always fixed everything when I called the few times I had a problem. One time called at night and they came and took care of it. The exterminators come often so I have never had any pest problems. The ladies at the office are really nice and the maintenance people too. I lived in other apartments and so far this has been the biggest one with the price rage. They have cameras everywhere so I feel safe! Definitely will renewing my contract.

Rent is way to high for quality of apartments. Drug infested, no parking for tenants, steps crowded with noisey tenants and their company,mouse and roach infested. They make it look good during the day, but come out here at night. Look up crimes for Autumn Run and Alder Park, same complex different name. Dover Estates??? Same old Alder park and Pine Grove nothing but shootings.

Never rent from here they don't fix anything the staff are disrespectful and rude all there buildings have roaches nice and all the above

It's not openly advertised, but paying your rent with either a bank account or credit card with the company that owns this property will result in a "Convenience Fee." It will cost you $15 to use a credit card to make a rent payment, and $2 to make a rent payment using a routing number and bank account number. Yes. Fifteen dollars on top of your rent due if you use a credit OR debit card to make your rent payment. And worse, if you have a bank account that does Autopay for free to help you avoid those fees, you might not be able to add your monthly rent to that system if its not listed. It's insane. And from what I can tell, there seems to be no way to get around the fees. If you're not able to afford to keep a bank account, paying your rent on time with plastic WILL be significantly more expensive. Most places should by default, want and even encourage you to make your rent payment--not make an extra buck off of the backs of hard working people, who try to do just that. Noisy tenants are a consistent problem, as is getting repairs accomplished correctly and in a timely manner. My advice would be to look deep before you leap on this one.

Ok apt too much rent.loud tenants smelly hallways good for transportations and good schools in the area

Like my apt, but looking to upgrade. would like in unit laundry
