Property Ratings at Dovetree
This apartment used to be run by a family owned company and was great. They were also much more affordable. Ever since Connor Group took over, we have been charged more for everything across the board without any change in amenities or updates in the unit. Please go somewhere else, you will save so much money and maybe will get a property not run by a wannabe oligarch.
The apartments are very dated for what they are asking for. I have a friend that lives at Dovetree and her renewal amount went up by $130 with no improvements being done in her apartment. Also not a fan of the required cable you have to purchase with your utility bill every month.
This property was a 5-star property for years. The wait list was around the corner, and people waited forever to get an apartment of any size, because it was affordable, and a real community. That changed once The Connor Group bought the property. They instantly raised the price of every property by an avg. of $150 a month before making any changes. They revoked all discounts, the grace period, increased all fees and penalties, and raised the prices on day one. Save yourself some time. I just got a 2-bedroom that is the same price as the 1-bedroom at this property now. All of the current tenants are leaving because of new ownership and price. Don't fall for the pretty colors or the PAST reviews. That all changed in June.
When we first moved in, the apartment hadn’t even been cleaned. No communication whatsoever with the manager. I’ve tried to get this issue taken care of with the sighting of bedbugs and no luck. The apartment was treated once and I never heard anything back. Then he suggested maybe we brought them here. I have never had to deal with bedbugs until I moved here and a few other tenants have told me they’ve had to deal with them as well. As soon as this lease is over, I’m out. Don’t waste your time! I was sucked in by the good reviews, but was never prepared for this.
Very nice complex. Shelby, in the office was so nice & friendly when I called from out of state prior to my visit a few weeks later. She remembered me when I arrived with my son and again was so sweet and friendly. She explained everything clearly, answered all our questions, very thorough and helpful. She was a big reason why we decided on this place for my son to live. First, the apartment is very spacious and has so much closet and storage space! In this unit, there is a washer/dryer hookup which was important for my son to have. Prior to his moving in, all of the appliances in the kitchen were replaced with new ones. And there is much more cabinet space than we seen in other apartments. Since moving in 8 months ago, they have replaced or repaired anything that needed it. They are very prompt and friendly in responding to any issues. They are also good about taking care of the grounds and sidewalks/parking lots. The location is perfect for him. It's near Kettering College, close to work, shopping and restaurants. It seems to be pretty soundproof as well since he only hears people when they are coming or going from their apartments or outside and talking loud (which usually doesn't happen) if he is outside on his balcony. My son couldn't be happier with our choice with Dovetree. We looked at probably 10 other complexes. They couldn't compare to Dovetree. As they say, you get more bang for your buck here.
lLove having a club house, pool, tennis courts, and a garage. Kids have a kiddie pool and playground. Landscaping is immaculate.
Comfortable 1 & 2 Bdrm apartments, quiet family setting, close to shopping and I-75. Geothermal heating and reasonably priced water & trash make utilities less of a burden. Cool off from summer's heat in the pool, while your children enjoy the play area. Landscaping is gorgeous and the common areas are well maintained. A great place to call home for busy families.
