Nashville’s West End is a sprawling district filled with a mix of suburban and urban neighborhoods. The family-friendly atmosphere on this part of town is largely made up of safe residential streets and a tight-knit community. Within the West End, there are two universities: Lipscomb University and Belmont University. The college town feel is apparent in the West End, and there are great public and private schools to brag about as well.
West End’s residential streets are a mix of stately homes, longstanding homes, and upscale apartment communities. The Mall at Green Hills is the best opportunity for locals to enjoy a wide variety of retailers, and nearby, check out the Bluebird Café, an iconic live music venue. Historic mansions, museums, sites, and landmarks sit throughout West End, such as the Belmont Mansion near the university.

Property Ratings at Duet Apartments
I did a video tour with the assistant manager Tammy and she was great! The apartment is very spacious and very well laid out from what i could tell on video. The pool looks amazing with the lounge chairs in the water.

Duet is a beautiful property and the remodeling they’re doing looks phenomenal. I did a virtual tour with Tammy and she was very friendly and patient. She had no problem taking me on a virtual tour of the entire property and all of the amenities. I rate her alone 5 stars.

I had a wonderful tour with Mrs. Tammy and she was such a delight especially first thing in the morning. The property is absolutely beautiful and the two one bedrooms that I seen were very spacious. Thank you again Tammy.

Students, parents, hospital workers, DON'T! Victimized by internal theft 4 times in 5 years. Staff turnover- (so sad) " I don't know let me find out" famously only words. Maintenance - so incredibly...bad. If you ask file a maintenance request doesn't happen because they don't know how. I once filed 29 HVAC orders before the RSM found out and cleaned house. My friends will not visit and I no longer leave my dog home alone...so " the great area" is useless. 5 years is a long time. It was my home away from home during my education and MBA. Do yourself a favor.

Our team strives to provide the utmost professional service and we're disappointed to hear that this wasn't your experience while you lived in our community. If you have any remaining insight or concerns, please contact us at DWEmanager@carterhaston.com or (615)-329-4429. Thank you and we wish you the best in your new home. Sincerely, Katelyn O., Community Manager
New management is horrible, unhelpful, and took over without warning from previous staff. Walls are thin, so you'll hear everything your upstairs neighbor and their dog does. If you make any kind of complaint it probably will not be addressed. Sometimes the fire alarm goes off and traumatizes you and your pets. Pool is small, gym is musty and missing equipment. Construction is constantly going on across the street. The only elevator in one of the buildings was broken for nine months. They'll also charge you for everything, so be prepared to pay an extra $200+ per month on top of rent. I've lived here for a year and the only good features are secure parking and a decent location. Don't live here.

I lived at Duet for three years and I wish I could say the experience was great from beginning to end. Sadly the experience has gone downhill since the beginning. To start off on a positive note, Tracey and maintenance are amazing. If I ever had a question, I know that Tracey is the only person that probably knows the answer and is willing to help! The location is an obvious great feature as it’s close to Centennial Park, The Local, Vanderbilt, etc. For the not so great…there have been multiple security instances that myself and other residence have brought to managements attention and there was ZERO response or follow-up to the situations. The one time management did respond to the security issues, it took them two full weeks to send out an email to the community which shows it isn’t a priority! There have been multiple instances where I’ve had to call the front office to follow-up on things or even simply to ask a question and I’ve always felt like an annoyance when, on the rare occasion, the phone was answered. I’ve had to go to the front office on multiple occasions when the phone wasn’t answered after hours of trying to get through and Dartavius was sitting on his phone and barely offered a greeting when we walked into the office. After MULTIPLE follow-ups with him on things he finally did his job. At the end of the day, this is a customer service role and residents should feel welcome instead of feeling like an inconvenience for someone to simply do their job. The cleanliness of the apartment is horrible. I get that sometimes you have irresponsible residences who don’t clean up after themselves, but letting baseboards mold and ignoring it for 5+ months is disgusting. The hallway carpet has stains all over them and it’s quite embarrassing to bring someone to a “luxury” apartment when the amenities are disgusting. The elevator storyline seems to be “it’s broken so let’s ignore it.” The elevators in building 29 have legit been broken since September 2021. Having a service elevator broken for that long is ridiculous and should have always been a priority! Moving in/moving out is a nightmare with large items. If I wanted to walk up 4 flights to stairs every day I would have lived somewhere that didn’t have an elevator. There are multiple luxury apartments in Nashville that are ACTUALLY luxury. So don’t pay for an overpriced apartment with mediocre staff.
Great property, and great management. Ownership not so much.

I’ve been living at Duet for about 8 months now, and it’s been a wonderful experience! It’s clean, I feel safe, maintenance issues are taken care of quickly by the super friendly maintenance staff, and amenities are great.

I rented at Duet sight unseen early in the pandemic, and it has exceeded my expectations. The facilities are clean, well-kept, and quiet. They have a flexible pet policy, and the Centennial dog park is located right around the corner. Overall, I would definitely recommend Duet!

The location swayed me to pick Duet when I moved from Dallas, having never been to Music City before. The community, fellow residents, and leasing staff are the reason I would choose Duet again!

We love it here. But if our rent rate increases again, we will have to find somewhere else to live.
Very responsive management. Have had very few issues and when I did have one it was resolved quickly.

Hello, We are thankful for your positive feedback, and it makes us happy to hear how responsive the team! With appreciation, Duet Apartments Management Team
Duet has a great location which is why I chose the property (that along with previous management encouragement). The property is good not great. The sinks are way to shallow.
Area is good, a little expensive but not outrageous. Noise is terrible though. Paper thin walls (you’ll get to know your neighbors and their pets real well), and they have have a water pump or something going 24/7 between the buildings which is really loud. Not all apartments affected, so make sure you visit before you rent and walk around the property.

Hi Carlos, We would love to turn your one-star rating into a 5-star experience! Let's connect at your earliest opportunity (615.329.4429 or via duet@secpropres.com) to see how we can improve your residency as your happiness here is important to us. Take care, Duet Apartments Management Team
There were several reasons I moved out of this community after living here for four years. One is that my packages were stolen from outside my door several times. Another is that it is noisy, even more so than other apartment complexes I've lived in. Noise from the apartments around me, the courtyards, and slamming stairway doors was disturbing, and outdoor sounds like the water pump also impacted my experience there negatively. Once the community expanded to a second building and got new management, the living experience there was just not as good as when I first moved in. Maintenance people were great, as is the neighborhood, but it wasn't worth staying - there are cheaper places in the area

I've only been at Duet for a month and a half now, but it's my favorite complex I've ever lived in. Not only are the staff (office and maintenance) extremely friendly but so are the other tenants. I've always gotten a quick response any time I've reached out and I'm satisfied with the cleanliness of the building and it's amenities. Love Duet!
Dolores and I have really enjoyed the Duet experience. Great Staff! Prompt! Professional! Accommodating! Thanks, Jim DeVillez -346
Wonderful and safe place to live!
My fiance and I have been living at the Duet for a couple months now. After a horrible experience at a similar complex in the same neighborhood, we're very relieved to say the Duet is so much better. Management has been very helpful, the complex isn't so large it feels crowded like others, and the other residents are genuinely nice to one another. We've lived in several other places in Nashville the last few years and this is by far cleanest and quietest complex. It's really close to Centennial which is a nice perk. No complaints yet!
I recently made the decision to move to Duet Apartments and I couldn't be happier that I did. The apartments are really nice and spacious and you can't hear your neighbors unless they're yelling very loudly or hammering against the wall. The community of residents are very nice and the complex is really well kept. The amenities are always in good condition and they are really awesome. The gym is recently remodeled and it's everything that I need in a gym. There are several really awesome courtyards that are really nice to relax in on a hot summer night. My positive review doesn't even take into consideration that they just built a new pool, which looks amazing. I'm excited for it to open this summer.
I have just completed a one-year lease at Opus. My apartment was awesome. I had a 2 bedroom corner unit with a balcony that looked over to Centennial Park. There is not a better location in West End Nashville. The building is tucked away on a quiet street and a block off Centennial Park. The management of the building was amazing as well. I have never lived in a building with more professional and pleasant staff. Truly a wonderful experience.
Overall good place. Pros: - Good location - Everything's new - Friendly staff - Covered parking Cons: - Noise. No soundproofing to the apartments. Get ready to really know your neighbors. - A little on the more expensive side. - Construction of a similar building next door, so construction associated issues (Temporary Con)
Being fresh out of college I was a little nervous about moving into to a brand new apartment and living by myself. However, after moving into Opus 29 all of those fears have disappeared! The parking area and the entrances to the apartment are so secure I never feel unsafe being alone. They also have great amenities like an amazing fitness center, as well as a courtyard area and coffee lounge where there are always people hanging out. Finally, there is a wonderful sense of community among the residents--I know there are plans for more community activities as the building continues to get more residents and I can't wait to see what they have planned!
As the apartment complex was just completed this year, everything is new. The complex is kept very clean, and the staff are always willing to promptly offer help if needed. A short walk from Vanderbilt. Many restaurants and shops also within walking distance. Highly recommended!
I moved to US from Nepal, in an entirely new place, new people, new culture.I was searching for a place where i could feel like home and found one searching in the web-that's Opus 29.Opus 29 has excellent apartments with great surrounding( Centennial park) and amazing facilities.I feel opus 29 as my heavenly home!
This complex is brand new, smells brand new, looks brand new! I love it and so glad that I choose this complex. It feels like home with it's gameroom, cyberlounge and courtyards with gas grilling stations. Centennial Park and the Parthenon are right across the street to one side and the dog park is to the other side. It is super pet friendly and residents are amazingly friendly. It is walking distance to many good spots including grocery store, Vanderbilt, restaurants, fitness centers, spa salons and other local transportation.
Opus is very well managed, clean, and in a extremely well placed location. There is nearly 0 bleed of sound between floors and units. They are very responsive for any requests. Lastly, most all residents are very respectfully of the building and neighbors.
