Regarded as the Horse Capital of the World, Lexington is home to a number of horse farms and all kinds of equestrian events. The second largest city in Kentucky, Lexington maintains a small-town feel and progressive atmosphere thanks to an involved community and the presence of three colleges — the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, and Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
There is something for everyone in Lexington. Sports fans enjoy the horse races at the Red Mile and Wildcats basketball games at Rupp Arena. Outdoor enthusiasts delight in the city’s thriving cycling community, as well as hiking the many trails in and near Lexington. History buffs relish access to the Mary Todd Lincoln House and Ashland: the Henry Clay Estate. Art lovers savor the plentiful art galleries, including Lexington Art League, Institute 193, and the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Center. Shoppers appreciate having the largest mall in Kentucky, Fayette Mall.

Property Ratings at EAGLE CREEK TOWNHOMES
Don’t waste your time trying to tour this property. They won’t ever show up. They have a national phone service that schedule your tours but don’t actually communicate to the property managers that they have a tour. I waited over 30min. I hate to find out how crappy they are to their tenants of this is how they treat people that are looking to live there

My apartment complex was absolutely wonderful 3 months ago. Now the Birge & Held company bought the complex and it is terrible. We were informed that the company bought the complex. It took 2 weeks for us actually even be able to get in contact with our property manager. Horrible transition. The new company came in and renovated all apartments out of no where. That seemed great! My lease is up in June, I had been trying for weeks to get in contact with the property manager to get the new details of my lease renewal. I finally get him in the phone today and he informs me that my rent is jumping up in price by $238 a month and I have less than 3 weeks to make a decision. I ask why the jump in price and the only response I receive is it’s due to the renovations. I did not ask for renovations, I would’ve have turned them down if I had the choice!! This management company is absolutely terrible and I highly recommend to find something not owned by Birge & Held. Horrible management and a complete lack of respect for tenants.

I am currently living at Eagle Creek Townhomes for my third time. There are several options - a small or "large" one bedroom apartment (which are in the basements of the townhomes), a 2-bedroom and a 3-bedroom. All include washer and dryer, which is rare in Lexington. The units are decent - nothing to write home about. Everything is in good shape, but was just built 15-20 years ago with contractor material. There are no amenities, but that's not a huge deal. For the apartment units, the utilities are more than affordable. Parking can be a hassle at times, but generally once you've been there for a month or so, people figure out their space, even though they aren't specifically assigned. The manager Linda is super friendly, and maintenance is as well. Ideally, after this lease, I won't rent anymore, but if I had to, I would definitely come back here. For the money, it's hard to find something as quiet and convenient as this location - and with the w/d.
This complex isn't bad but could be much better. The buildings are in decent shape, in a decent area, and I've mostly always felt safe. I have an updated unit which is great, with nice appliances, though my AC never seems to work properly, and has been a serious source of frustration since day one. With that being said, maintenance issues are usually taken care of within a timely manner, and the current maintenance technician is friendly. My neighbors are friendly and there is a sense of community. Most have dogs and some aren't good about cleaning up the waste, but that's typical. You'll also have typical apartment issues with drunk/disorderly neighbors on their porch at 2am. Parking is terrible. I usually always have a spot due to the time I get home from work, but some of my neighbors end up regularly parking far away on the street, and of course there is no guest parking...though you wouldn't know it, because random people park in residents' spaces without a permit all the time. Winter weather clean-up is also another major concern. Unless you had an SUV last winter, you were basically stuck for two weeks. Porches and walkways were not cleaned off, the parking lot was not cleaned off, and when plows did come through they buried your car in its spot. I hope in the future they'll be more prepared. I feel for what I pay, a few things could be improved, but the management and staff do try to make it a nice place to live.
This is a quiet complex located at two major cross roads. There are no frills with this complex and you are subject to monthly inspections which are annoying but the current maintenance person is very friendly and respectful. Becomes difficult to take vacation days for these inspections and bug sprays every month due to my pets.(they have to be caged or you stay home) Parking can be an issue at times as well and there is no guest parking. Winter maintenance of the roads on this side of town does not happen so you are on your own. Neighbors however do help each other out. We do have wildlife so do not be surprised. Hospital is near by so lots of sirens and helicopters at times but not always noticeable.
