Eagle Rock & Hensyn Village

I've lived here for 4 years and can't find anything positive to say. Do yourself a favor and find another place to live. The maintenance crew inspired me to leave and find a new place.

Do not move here , I moved here when I was 7 and the place is still terrible. It is not kid friendly. They took the basketball court and pool away from us and only the kings village residents can swim there. My father has been asking for a rug change , new paint on the walls and new tiles on the floor in the bathroom and we still haven’t had any of these changes done. There is mold all over the bathroom and we have told them multiple times to come and fix these conditions and this is sick

Only giving this complex a 5/10 because of it’s pricing. If anything goes wrong expect it to be done half way, the priority of the staff is to make things as difficult as possible and to fix things with tape and rubber bands basically. I personally lived at this apartment complex for 5 years I’ve spotted little mouse around the property, the rain leaks through the walls and created mold which they Took 6MONTHS to fix with paint!!!!! Obviously it wasn’t fixed. I also had an issue with fungus growing under the carpet from all the water and the complex thought it wasn’t Important enough to fix right away. Basically live there if u want full responsibility of a house but living in an over crowded apartment complex where parking is almost impossible

This place is disgusting. Please dont waste your money. The air conditioner that you pay 30 dollars extra for doesn't run and if you call a maintenance guy to come fix it all he does is hit it with a wrench until it runs and then you have to call again the next day. There is mold in the bathroom from no ventilation. Paint is chipping off and falling on the carpet. Walls are so thin that I can hear the tenants under us SNORING. Its freezing in the winter because they dont turn on the heat until they feel like it, which the knob to adjust the temperature doesn't work so good luck turning it off. Maintenance men just show up randomly in your apartment and on your balcony without prior notice. (That was a terrible surprise when I was in my nightgown) the worst part is when you break your lease you need to pay the remaining months upfront. Oh and the snow? Yeah, they dont plow, they just put road blocks up so you need to go through Henson village to get to route 46. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! It is disgusting.

THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS IF YOU PAY WITH MONEY ORDERS BE AWARE THEY WILL PRETEND YOU DIDN'T PAY RENT FOR MONTHS AND IF YOU MISPLACED THE RECEIPT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY AGAIN THEY ARE NOTHING BUT THIEFS THEY DON'T HAVE ANY CLUE ABOUT HOW TO MANAGE A PROPERTY THESE APARTMENTS ARE FULL OF PEST - MOUSE - BED BUGS - ETC THEY NEVER FIX APARTMENTS THE CORRECT WAY THEY WANT TO PAINT OVER BLACK MOLD MAINTENANCE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FIX A TOILET NOW WE HAVE TO HOLD THE LEVER TO BE ABLE TO FLUSH THE LITTLE TILE ON THE BATHROOM BREAK AND THEY NEVER REPLACE THEM CABINETS ARE FALLING APART CAN EVEN TALK ABOUT THE CARPET THEY WILL NEVER REPLACE IT NOT EVEN AFTER 10-15 YEARS- AND THEN WANT TO CHARGE YOU FOR IT AT THE END THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE WORKING HERE TAKE ANYTHING YOU LEAVE IN THE LOAN - KIDS TOYS - BIKES - ANYTHING NOT KID FRIENDLY I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY RENT TO FAMILIES WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE PLAY AREA AND THE KIDS CAN NOT EVEN WALK ON GRASS THERE IS DOG POOP EVERYWHERE THEY DON'T PLOW UNTIL 2 DAYS AFTER SNOWFALL TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE

I love this community. It's very quiet and welcoming. I have no complaints about choosing Eagle Rock to be my first apartment and would recommend it to anyone. Also the surrounding area is beautiful with so full of things to do and easy to commute to work. Overall 10/10

Great community! My family has lived here for a few years and we have no complaints. The maintenance staff always takes care of issues very promptly. All the staff is friendly. My neighbors are great!

I love living at Eagle Rock. The office staff is always so nice. When you have a problem they get maintenance there right away to help out. The rent is affordable and it's clean and most of the renters are nice.

We moved here last year into 2 bedroom apt the apt was done nice was clean we love living here such nice quite area the maintenance is very helpful so is the office they are doing a lot of changes outside new roofs re paint all hallways and exterior of buildings planting trees shrubs and flowers and most of all was the cheapest that you can find I recomende to rent here

Please do yourself a favor and don't even consider living here. The worst place that I have ever lived in. The office staff is incompetent to keep it positive , they never have a clue about anything and they make it more than clear that they don't care about any issue that you are experiencing ! In the winter time it snows don't expect your parking lot or even the Main road to be cleaned at all because they will not and when you call they lie and tell u that they are out meanwhile u don't even hear them never mind see them! They supposedly have maintence workers I don't know what for I only see them walking around! They have walked into my apt on 3 occasions unannounced and with no reason but shocked when they noticed I was home luckily I didn't call the police because it felt like they broke in didn't even knock ! Another very common thing around here are bed bugs apartments are infested and when I told them I had to physically bring in the evidence! In addition apartments are old u can hear your neighbors clearly in my case almost all night the talking , the stomping, sneezing , and any other thing happening should I say more? The best part of living here is that you have the police in here almost every day because of a fight between the neighbors or some other activity , never a moment where it is just enjoyable. Do your self a favor there are other places about the same price or perhaps a little more but worth your piece of mind

Renters Beware! Coming up on 2 years in Eagle Rock, apartment is full of issues previously listed. Broken screen doors, terrible air conditioning, horrible maintenance and even worse office staff. As soon as my lease is up in february we are out, being lied to by the office staff over a dishwasher repair was the last straw... Dishwasher broke, called the office, they sent out a maintenance man to verify it was broken; inform us they will order a new one and give us a 2 week time frame, the "new" dishwasher came in they came up to our apartment, removed broken dishwasher #1 and replaced it with broken dishwasher #2, replaced broken dishwasher #2 with broken dishwasher #3 now we have a dishwasher #4 that works but is INCREDIBLY loud and still isnt new.

I am a single mother living in an are that is dangerous unhealthy damaging scary and just all around awful.. I am alone here with my daughter and there are problems and illegal things that occur every moment. I am being bullied, my daughter is bullied by same family that does to me. Iwe are left in this to fight and survive. I have MS and the years here have added stress beyond words.. please help us...

it used to be a very nice place to live. When you had a problem all you have to do just call and they would come and fix it. Since they changed management people it doesn't work that way anymore. The good people that were here before on the repair team are gone and now they have people that don't care how they repair the apartment

nice place to live but the management is so bad not enough parking snow time they are so bad they can't keep up with the maintenance.......

I lived here for 2 years... From the very first day we had a problem. The screen door was bent so bugs would fly in, the a/c that we were paying extra for did absolutely nothing... It's was ancient. The refrigerator didn't work right because they never cleaned it from the last renters. When they finally responded to any of our complaints they threw hot water in the freezer to melt it to "clean" it. The door needed to be replaced, but never did. And the a/c was one of the best ones in the complex even though it blew absolutely no cold air and used so much electricity. This was only the beginning. In the winter, they do the bare minimum on the walkways. And the roads that they're responsible to maintain are horrible and incredibly unsafe. I had to call out of work so many times because I couldn't get out of the parking lots there... The maintenance workers are so rude and disrespectful. Our pipes froze so many times since the maintenance workers would forget to close the basement door where our pipes were.... When they finally respond to unfreeze them they left the door open to my apartment, kept walking into my apartment with their mud and salt filled boots leaving stains all over my apartment... They refused to clean it. To top it all off, they attempted to raise my rent since I was in an air conditioned until and when I refused to re sign my lease until they gave me a new a/c until. They didn't car. We moved out and I get 250 dollars taken from my deposit for the stains on my carpet from them. And 60 dollars for a dirty stove and oven, even though I cleaned everything and made it cleaner then it was when we moved in. They still to this day will not return my calls to dispute the charges taken from my deposit. I moved out on May 1st.... Do not move here!!!

Decent price. Terrible maintenance. Terrible neighbors. Decent area.
