Beachwood is a suburban city of Cleveland. Beachwood gets its name from the pretty Beech trees that once covered the area. Today, Beachwood is home to many businesses and is considered one of the great places to live in Ohio. There are several corporations that call Beachwood home, giving the city a sturdy economy and plenty of job opportunities. Interstate 271 and other access roads make traveling in and out of Beachwood easy.
There are a lot of great shopping opportunities within Beachwood like the large shopping complex, Beachwood Place. There is also an outdoor shopping area that hosts a wide range of stores. One of the main attractions of this city is the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, a state-of-the-art museum about the history of Jewish immigrants in the United States. Easthaven would be a great place to live if the amenities were well maintained. We love the location and the apartment layout. However, we have had numerous issues with maintenance and management. Our balcony is rotting and needed to be replaced a year ago. The tennis court is in disrepair. The hot tub has never worked since I’ve lived here. Our elevator has been broken for 7 of the last 8 months. We were never offered any compensation for the issues other than “maintenance can help carry groceries upstairs during business hours”. But of course they’re never available when we need them. Oh yeah, and packages get stolen nearly every day since there are no security cameras or mail lockers.

The Easthaven village is a delightful place to live; surrounded by nature, away from busy roads, yet so close to shops, restaurants, healthcare and easy access to the freeway. There are great fixtures and fittings in the apartments including a modern kitchen, a washer and drier and good-sized rooms. I have just the communal amenities that I need with the gym, swimming pools and picnic areas. I'm very happy to be here.

The maintenance and management at this community have been the worst I have ever experienced, by far. We’ve had a leak in the corner of our ceiling since February 26, 2022. It is documented in the community’s maintenance portal and no one has ever come to fix it. This past week on December 26, our ceiling leak spread to the majority of the living room. The property manager’s solution to this issue was to have maintenance come to our apartment and poke holes in our ceiling to drain the water. The water then started to drip into our outlets, so the electricity in half of our apartment was shut off for three days. Property manager did not solve the issue whatsoever and we are currently still living with water damage and holes in our ceiling, a soggy towel and a tarp that has now been in our apartment for a over a week straight. The management is deeming this as “livable” when half of our square footage is cut off due to the leak. Additionally, we do not pay rent to live in a construction zone (and that’s only IF Easthaven decides to ever fix this issue). Considering the leak has been here since Feb 2022, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is black mold growing inside the walls. This complex is too expensive for how poorly maintained it is. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone I know.

I'm very pleased with this complex. The maintenance staff (especially Maurice) are very helpful and friendly.
Overall, living at Easthaven has been a relatively pleasant experience. I don?t have any real complaints about our specific apartment. The appliances & materials are not of the highest quality but we do love the size & layout & general aesthetic of our apartment. In our experience so far It?s been a quiet place & we?ve lucked out with living on a quiet floor in a relatively quiet building. The amenities are just okay & the common areas are not always the cleanest. The fitness room definitely needs upgrading with newer machines & both pool areas could be better. For the amount of rent we pay, it could all be a bit more luxurious. Our biggest complaint is not having a decent wash rack for washing cars.

Great place and location to live. However, Easthaven needs to improve with service request calls. It shouldn't take over 30 days to show up at the door to make a repair. If I was 30 days late with the rent, they would be calling and penalizing me.

Big apartments in a beautiful setting managed by nice people made my year at Easthaven terrific! I returned to my home in Washington, DC, but was glad for such a fine year in Beachwood.

Mixed bag. Maintenance is friendly and there when you need them. Safe neighborhood. They overcharge you. Tenant responsible for all utilities. Gets too many bugs In ground floor apartment unit. for such a nice place. Sometimes you can hear neighbors. Pretty grounds. Close to alot of things.
I’m from the area and it nice here. Safe close to everything apartments are spacious. Management is not honest. Make sure if you lease you check that everything works. My shower doors fell on me and I have a dishwasher that hasn’t worked since I moved here beginning of August 2020. They said all the place was all remodeled and all appliances are new? These things should have been checked by management before having someone move in. Just be aware things look nice that’s as far as it goes. Management takes no responsibility. Sad when you pay so much.
after I moved out they charged me $600 for changing the carpet because of pet stain, when I complained that there was no stain, now they are saying there was a smell and they pulled the carpets and underneath there was marks so they must have been urine... why didn't they clean the carpet?! what was the reason to change a carpet for smell?
Location is excellent; school bus comes in, great management. We recommended it with no hesitation. Close to everything in the beautiful east side of Cleveland, OH. We feel fortunate to find a place like this. One of the most important things to take into account for moving here is that it is children friendly.
