Property Ratings at Eastland Hills
Love the apartment. Management cool and understanding. Great laundry facility.
I have been here over a year. I have seen this property improve so nicely in that time. The grounds are safe for walking or just enjoying the peace and quiet of your porch or patio. Maintenance lives on site which makes responding to resident needs efficient.

Hi! Our team is committed to taking customer service to the next level and we’re so glad to hear that it's left an impression on you. Hearing that you love your new home makes our day! Thank you and have a great day.
My apartment is considered renovated, it is not. Not like the pictures show lead you to believe. I was five days without a working refrigerator. I finally got one, but it wasn't clean and was brought over from the office. My cabinetry is all metal, not like the pics show at all. One my of cabinet doors was screwed shut, making it non functional. There are other doors that do not close completely. Paint falls off and on to the stove. The outside of the building, including entryway is in very bad condition and in need of a complete redo. The lighting outside from parking lot to entryway is very poor. The renovation team must have gotten their skill set from a book instead of actually doing anything in practice. Patches everywhere, tub was resurfaced, but they didn't clean the tub prior to resurfacing. It feels like you are laying on sand. On a positive note, my living room is ok, new floors, new carpet and nice view from patio door. New carpet in bedroom.

Thank you for your review. We have taken this feedback into consideration and plan on making upgrades to our exterior and interior hallways as well. We apologize that your brand new fridge came with a manufacturing defect and thank you for accepting the fridge directly from the office in the meantime. The pictures online are of your exact apartment home and we appreciate you allowing the photographer to enter to take these pictures, they're awesome!! Also, we are glad you like the new flooring. :) Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! If I could give this complex 0 stars I would. We have had nothing but problems since we moved here. There are cops called every night. Our neighbors have been robbed. A guy in the parking lot was held at knife point for his wallet. Drug addicts hang out in the parking lots with their shopping carts. It doesn't matter how clean you are, you will have roaches because the whole complex is INFESTED. I don't know WHERE they got the pictures from, but the apartments do NOT look like that on the inside. In the winter time you will have to run heaters which will make your electric bill over 100 dollars a month and you will have to pay the difference. In the summer time, you only have one window unit to cool the whole apartment and the bedrooms will be sweltering! The management installed password locks on the building entrance doors, but the homeless people keep breaking them so they can sleep in the laundry rooms, do drugs, and pee in there. You can't even wash your clothes or they will smell like pee! Just DO NOT move here!

Thank you for the feedback. We are under new ownership and management as of 2022. Please come by if there is anything more we can do.
Lived here for 8 months and it was horrible. The apartment was infested with roaches i bombed the apartment twice and still didn't help. The maintenance people are friends of the management and have no clue on fixing anything. My toilet was not held down on the floor, closet door wouldn't stay on, the kitchen space was way to small, it took two months to get blinds for my living room. Stay far away from this place. The management does not care about there residents all about the money.
No working air conditioning unit for over a month in August with an apartment that traps heat, was able to prevent death of cat with purchasing small air conditioner for our bedroom. The bathtub smelled of mold and was unsealed. Bedroom had mold behind the paint on one of the walls, had gotten sick because of it. I have seen and killed at least 50 cockroaches and had seen several adults with egg sacks with one hatching in the bathroom. Windows would not lock and after a repair had bars that only locked one side and another visit to bolt the side that would not lock, our balcony door did not have a handle and when repaired was held on by duct tape. The flooring was cheap linoleum made to look like wood. Carpet is not fully installed in corners. No maintenance staff for over a month (ie. no air conditioning, un-lockable windows, unsealed bathtub). The playground is a singular slide and a baby swing. Had to file a 14 day repair or termination of the lease to get the air conditioning, bath tub and windows "repaired". Glad I do not live there anymore, if you do decide to risk it go over your lease (the lease does not help the tenant at all), throughly go over the apartment before you sign, and document everything.
These pictures of the apartments are very misleading. It's a dump. No one EVER in the office. Getting a deposit back is impossible!!!!
The people who are in the office an who answer the phones on the maintenance line are very nice. That is the only nice thing I can say about this place. If I could post pictures in this review it could turn your stomach. The apartment I rented was by far the best of the three at this complex that I looked at, and I wish I'd had time to shop around more at different complexes, but I was pressed to make a quick decision on a place to live. They waived the security deposit, which I found out was because they expected me to work off the deposit by cleaning the apartment myself. The floors were filthy, there were nasty stains in the carpet and on the walls, and many parts of the apartment were in disrepair. I didn't have power in half the apartment for the first several days. When I cleaned the bathroom floor, the molding along the bathtub fell onto the floor (apparently just propped up against the tub) to reveal black mold. The cabinets were dirty, with dead roaches in the corners. Blinds were damaged, a peephole was missing, with just a little bit of toilet paper stuck into the hole, holes in the walls, closet doors off the tracks or broken. This place is so dirty I still haven't moved my kids into it because I don't think it's safe. I haven't moved anything into the second bedroom because of the condition of the carpet. In short, being poor does not mean you have to be dirty. Go somewhere else where they know poverty and dignity can live together just fine.

I am sorry that you had such a bad experience, but I would like you to know that the property is now under new management. Acute Properties took over Jennifer Place in July 2017 and we have been working hard to update/upgrade the complex.
