The city of Midland forms the western cornerstone of central Michigan’s Tri-Cities region, a rough triangle that connects the community to Bay City and Saginaw. Consistently appearing highly on lists of best American cities for families, Midland adopts a mostly suburban atmosphere filled with quiet neighborhoods and boasting exceptional public schools.
The community is rich with public parks and golf courses, providing numerous opportunities to get outdoors. The charming Downtown district along Main Street features a popular collective of specialty shops, eclectic restaurants and bars, historic architecture, and a farmers’ market overlooking the Tittabawassee River. Drop into Café Zinc for your morning caffeine fix or swing by WhichCraft Taproom for a bite and a pint in the evening. One of the city’s most unique landmarks is the Tridge, a three-directional bridge that spans the river to connect Downtown to Towsley Dike Park and Chippewassee Park.

Property Ratings at Eastlawn Arms Apartments
Called trying to communicate with the leasing manager. She was so rude and unprofessional, I wouldn't lease from these people If it was free. I have never have the displeasure of speaking with someone this rude over the phone. Ugh.
I have been here now for 2 1/2 months and upon moving in I had a few problems for maintenance to come fix. Maintenance and Amy in the office are very responsive and communicate very well. I am happy to call this place my home!
These apartments are not nice and not well kept! Management does not listen to or care about your concerns, but as soon as you owe them money of any sort they will try to turn around and sue you! My apartment is full of mold I have been trying to get them to help fix the issue for over a year now! I have called corporate many times on this issue you as well.
My Husband and I moved into a one bedroom deluxe after we married, the maintenance staff is prompt and cares about the safety of the tenants, there is a lot of turnover in that department, however my husband and I haven't had a bad experience yet. We had an issue with smokers in the building and the staff took care of it tactfully and promptly, while respecting both tenants involved. Yes the buildings are older and showing there age but, in getting what you pay for in this area, we are pleased. We moved to a two bedroom a year ago and we have had no complaints. We love our home.
New management is very rude and unpunctual. The apartments flood regularly and the washer and dryers are broken more often than not. They “fix” things the cheap way.
Unless you qualify for low-income housing, it's difficult to find an affordable apartment in Midland. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood and the grounds are maintained nicely. Unfortunately, the apartments are showing their age. Despite my best efforts, I can't get the carpets to look clean. The walls are painted between tenants and I can see where painters have missed a spot. The paint has dripped onto appliances and counter tops too. And storage? There is none. No outdoor storage off my non-existent balcony, no pantry, and no broom closet. The maintenance work is shoddy- the solution to my leaking window was to shove cloth into the window. My furnace went out last winter and I told the guy it was the pilot light, but he insisted on replacing my thermostat instead. (It was the pilot light.) I had to ask that they paint the area on the wall where I could see the old one had been. It looked like they waived the brush over the area. Oh, and laundry? They do have units in the building, but you will have to share the one washer and one dryer with your 7 neighbors. If you want to make one-time rent payments online, it will cost you a $2 fee. Set up recurring payments and it costs you nothing extra. The only cable option you have here is Charter. No dishes and AT&T isn't set up to run U-verse here. On the plus side- all utilities except electric are included. I do have a dishwasher and a good sized closet in the bedroom. I have a carport (which is a Godsend in the winter) and I feel safe here. There is an outdoor pool as well. The staff is friendly and they try to host events for all of the tenants. It's been a decent place to live. If you are just moving to the area and you need something affordable, it wouldn't be a bad choice.
