Nestled about 10 miles northeast of Downtown Columbus, Easton’s residential area houses beautiful courtyards and tree-lined streets. The small community, comprised of rental apartments and the adjacent Easton Town Center, mixes European sophistication with urban style to create a one-of-a-kind upscale neighborhood jam-packed with amenities.
Designed to resemble an American town during the early to mid-20th century, Easton Town Center features storefronts with rustic brick and stone facades, a slew of dining options and storefront metered parking. The shopping area was designed so that it looks like a self-contained town, and the Easton Commons apartment community sits just a few steps away.

Property Ratings at Easton Commons Apartments and Townhomes
I toured with Jayme and she was AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The property was clean and well maintained and the units are laid out very well and they're so cute! The gym was well appointed and the pet wash is so convenient. I've read the negative reviews and honestly they seem like very specific personal issues. How would the management company be responsible for people picking up after their pets unless they DNA test your dog and its "sample"? Overall the property was clean and seemed very well-maintained. I would have absolutely no hesitation making Easton Commons my home.

Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad you had a positive experience with Jayme and appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We strive to create a welcoming and well-maintained community for our residents, and we're delighted to hear that you were impressed with the cleanliness, layout of the units, and the amenities like the gym and pet wash station. We understand that every resident's experience is unique, and we appreciate your perspective on the community. Should you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Where do I begin... The Property Manager is incompetent. She's is unresponsive to emails (or "looses" them), calls, and forgets to follow-up on on-going noise complaints. The unit below me was being renovated and contractors began working at 6:30 am while blasting music. She didn't even know the unit was being renovated. It amazes me how some people have the positions they do. Management/Leasing agents do not follow-up on maintenance issues. When confronted on items that were requested, the excuse is that,"...the item is being shipped". I requested a mirror to be replace on my move-in by a "Zoah" in Feb...no mirror and it's August. If that doesn't scare you away, how about a fire alarm that rang for hours and shut off water for a day? How did Management respond, with a grade-school "Guess how many candies are in this jar for a prize!" to one resident. We all work hard for for our checks and want a safe, quiet place to come home to for our money. Easton Commons is not it.
Property Manager at Easton Commons Apartments and Townhomes, Responded To This Review
We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your stay with us. It sounds as though you have had several misunderstandings since being with us. We were not doing renovations rather some flooring was being replaced in a nearby unit. It was explained that the flooring was being replaced and would be a very temporary noise, again we are sorry you had to experience that inconvenience. We have a different department schedule maintenance outside of office members, so they cannot be aware of everything all at once, but we know she did get to the bottom of that for you. I am also sorry the mirror replacement was not done at move in and must have been neglected accidently. If you would still like that current mirror replaced for the cosmetic reason we would be happy to create that work order and expedite for you now. We know you have upcoming plans to move, but we are still here to help when we can. Please let us know at the office or put in a work order and we will get it taken care of.
Very outdated apartments and constant needs of repairs like leaks and breakage. People don't pick up after their dogs in commons areas and trash pileups in dumpster are very common. Constant smoking and strong weed odor in my building that gets into every room. Save yourselves the money and go somewhere else!

Do not let this apartment complex 4.4 review fool you. Do not move here. If you don't care about living across from Easton then keep looking. The management has turned over in recent years and they want to make the complex have a luxury feel to it, however, it's failing tremendously. Let's talk about how the trash compactors are always full! People move out and dump couches, mattresses, bed frames, you name it. So that leaves you walking outside through the complex looking for another trash can. There are never any parking spots available. People make up parking spots backing you in when they park on the lines of a non-existent slot. The trash pick up comes super early around 6am waking you up if you have children. Construction is currently going on in the community and they start around 8am. So if you work from home there will be noise. Let's talk about how I live in a unit that has steps and the steps are all broken up. When I walk through the neighborhood I see other broken up steps. Steps haven't been power washed in I don't know how long. The a/c units go out all the time and they come and throw one up in your window. Nothing about this property is luxurious. The wood is mixed with tile, white refrigerators, black refrigerators, and medicine cabinets from the 90's in the units. My car has been broken into. Shady people within the community. The pool area needs updated. The gym needs cleaned and updated. The office updates everything besides the thing that needs updated. Instead of adding on smart door pads we should be updating the cabinets that are peeling. We should be updating the carpet that hasn't been replaced. We should be updated the door handles. We should be updating the light fixtures. We should be updating the appliances. This property is charging a luxury price without doing a luxury upgrade. Keep looking there are better properties in the area and that's why everyone is leaving!

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to discuss these issues with you further. Please contact Jamie at eastoncommonsmgr@morganproperties.com Sincerely, Easton Commons Manager
Do not move here! Poorly managed, poorly run and poorly maintained. Overpriced!!! All the bad reviews posted about this apartment complex are very much true!! They change management every other month. Lived here over 4 years loved it at first then it just went to trash!!! The gym is trash nothing works. The pool is trash!! No parking unless you have a garage. You probably won't get your deposit back either just FYI! Please read the reviews and take seriously and reconsider if you are thinking about moving here!!

It’s okay at best, the trash compactor would be over filled constantly. Living next to Easton Way people treat that road as a drag racing strip. So, every 30 minutes or so you hear an obnoxiously loud car racing by- and on weekend nights an entire car line up doing it - not good for sleeping babies or nervous animals. When it snowed the road and sidewalks were plowed once per occurrence so cars would get stuck in the mountain of snow at the curb. Also on multiple occasions trash would be left at the top of the stairs and left there until the bags were leaking out mysterious liquids onto the walkways. Also, people let their dogs just poop wherever, even in front of your front door. When it comes to interior finishes, the laminate hard wood planks had multiple gaps, and the water that comes out of the showers is so hard that no matter how often I cleaned my bathtub it would stain within days. Also, just a side note that is very weird for the layout of the 1 bedroom- in the bedroom your only window is directly next to the walk way. So when any one walks past you can hear it and I never felt safe with my window being that accessible when I slept- also that means it is extremely awkward to ever open the blinds to that window because people walking by just will look directly inside. The size of the kitchen is almost impossible to store all of your items if you actually use your kitchen for cooking. There is no pantry or a cabinet that would even work for a pantry so you will need to think of a solution for that. I read another review that mentioned the phones and that is true, it is rare to be able to call into the leasing office and get to speak to someone there- you almost always get forwarded to voicemail even during business hours. All that I have good to say is that the washer and dryer that was in my unit was like new and good size. Also, all of my neighbors were really friendly and I felt mostly safe living here despite what a lot of people think of Easton.
Property Manager at Easton Commons Apartments and Townhomes, Responded To This Review
We are so disappointed to hear you were not fully satisfied. We pride ourselves in our customer service and satisfaction of our residents. Our trash compactors are cleaned and emptied every day along with cameras to help prevent large bulk items left blocking the compactor. As for the snow, we maintain all private property here onsite, but the street you are referring to is maintained by the City of Columbus. They plow this street, however due to the parallel parking, there are vehicles parked all along the street so snow will pile up next to these cars. If they didn’t plow these streets it would be impassable, so they plow around these cars as a courtesy to make sure these streets are cleared for everyone. We are sorry you felt the size of the kitchen was too small and had no pantry, we do have 28 floorplans so there are many different styles to meet the different needs of our residents. Our phone system rolls straight into our office, however if one of our leasing consultants is helping a resident or touring a prospect, our line will roll over to a call center so there is always someone available during all business hours. If there is anything we can do to help improve your experience please stop by anytime during business hours or email/call us at eastoncommonsleasing@morganproperties.com 614-476-5559.
I lived here for almost there years and the area completely went downhill. Trash would always pile up by the trash compactors, no one would clean up after their dogs because they rarely replaced doggie bags throughout the community. Trash was always found by the steps and throughout the community. When it snowed, they wouldn't salt the steps leading up to the third floor, just the first two flights. Good luck getting a hold of anyone in the office, I was interested in renting out a garage for the winter, and I would leave voicemails, no one would call me back. If I had a question I would just have to call the office in hopes that someone would answer, the phones just never work within the last year I lived there I guess? Management never responded to any emails, I was interested in a different unit in hopes of lowering my rent but, I never heard back about any of my several inquiries. Easton in general is super sketchy anymore, and I'm super happy I left when I did. Do yourself a favor and don't move here lol

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear this. Please call or come on in to our onsite leasing office anytime as we certainly would like to get more details about your experience and or resolve any of your concerns!
This was the worst complex I have ever lived in. Morgan properties took over half way through my lease and made amazing promises of investments in the property/units and cleaning it up because it had been a mess with trash and dog poop all over the complex. Nothing changed. There was someone that came by to measure out my appliances because they said they would update them but nothing ever came of it. The equipment in the gym was below average at best and some machines were broken for the entirety of my 15 month lease. Trash piled up so much in one of the dumpsters I literally could not get to it to throw my trash away. I believe I am one of the few dog owners at the complex that picks up after their pets. Minimum 60 day (absolutely ridiculous) for notice of vacancy so when my roommate and I went to put in our notice 38 days before our lease ended we were told we would have to add on 22 days which was fine. This is when it really hit the fan because for those 22 days they charged me nearly 3x what my rent was when we were not told it would change when we signed. Now that our lease had ended we had no choice but to pay. Could I have been more proactive about this? Yes there is no doubt but to take advantage of a college student like this has made my blood boil. Please do not sign here. I know it is less expensive than a lot of the complex’s surrounding Columbus but with the lack of maintenance and respect for tenants it is not worth it.
Property Manager at Easton Commons Apartments and Townhomes, Responded To This Review
We are so sorry for you frustration, all of our leases are the standard 60 day notice to vacate and if you decide to non renew it defaults to the standard month to month rate. We reach out to all of our expiring leases as a courtesy at the 90, 60 and 30 day mark to help keep everyone aware of the upcoming expiration of their lease. We are in the process of upgrades, however due to the supply shortages there have been some delays in product availability. As always, please call us if you would like to discuss further or if we can help in anyway.
My wife and I needed a short-term lease while our house was being built, and ultimately chose Easton Commons due to its location. We have had a ton of problems which, in my opinion, stems from poor management. Here is the list of issues that we have had in just 3 months of living here: -We toured an apartment that was fully updated (new floors, countertops, cabinets, appliances, etc) and included a washer and dryer. The price point for the apartment was fair. By the time we were ready to sign, the apartment was taken, which is understandable. They had the same floor plan available at the same price and we were told it had the same amenities. However, nothing was updated and it was quite dingy plus there was no washer and dryer. We still had to pay the same price. -When we moved in the locks did not work and had to be replaced. This was only realized when we showed up the first day to move in and tried to get in. -The air conditioner did not work when we first arrived, and it took 2 months for it to get repaired. They did provide a window unit in the meantime, but the apartment was clearly not ready for someone to move in in the first place. -We did not receive a fob for the fitness center until a month in to the lease. It took us following up numerous times to finally get one. -Half of the machines in the fitness center were broken to start, and have yet to be repaired. -The area is pet friendly with dog poo bags provided, but they are rarely refilled and run out often. -We ended up needing to extend the lease a few months due to our house build getting delayed. The new rates were outrageous relative to our original pricing. For example, if we wanted to sign the same lease term, the rate would have been 50% higher than the rate we had just 3 months prior. Any of these issues by themselves may not be a big deal, but combined they result in the worst renting experience that I have ever had. For some reason Apartments.com still has them listed as 4.7/5 when a majority of the reviews are 1-star. Don’t be fooled by a seemingly helpful response to this review – they don’t answer my phone calls when I reach out.

We are so sorry to hear of your experience, please give us a call to discuss at your earliest convenience 614-476-5559.
Management can't keep up with common areas. Not bad if tenants care about the place and pick up after themselves, but now they don't even care. Trash left in stairwells, litter everywhere, pet poop left on sidewalks and grass areas....disgusting. Won't be renewing my lease. Too bad, because the location is great.

We are so sorry to hear this, please give us a call to discuss this more, we most certainly want to remedy all of these concerns!
Had a leak, and they took forever to come take care of it. The staff was so rude and treated me more like a pest than a person. I got bubbles on my ceiling now and I have to wait much longer to get this mess fixed during a PANDEMIC! I have a big family and can’t be exposed to more people. Can’t wait to move out ????

Hello. We are sorry to see your one star review. Our maintenance staff was only completing emergencies since COVID-19 hit. We are now under new ownership, and are resuming completing work orders. Please contact our office so we can arrange a time to discuss this with you. Thank you.
The apartment itself is not bad, visually appealing with a lot of space. Walls and ceiling are super thin (very loud), parking is a nightmare, and staff are unhelpful, confrontational and don't seem to want to do the simplest parts of their jobs. Asked for a garage before moving in was told their was one being worked on in my building, 3 weeks later after no contact I'm forwarded an email about "bugging the office about a garage" and still no results!

I really enjoy living here! I moved from out of state and I am grateful that the staff were so helpful during my move - truly above and beyond. Anytime I visit the front, I'm welcomed with positive attitudes and friendly vibes. They were also kind enough to bring in a box that was placed outside my apartment during a time when I was unable to bring it in. My apartment faces a field and it's really peaceful. I enjoy the layout, and look forward to coming home everyday. My neighbors are also very courteous and respectful.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Easton Commons! We are so glad to hear you are enjoying your new home! I will pass your compliments along to the team!
I've lived in this community for 10 months, but being charged for 11 months rent. And I still don't know if they've closed my lease. The staff and customer service is VERY POOR. They do not care about CURRENT or FUTURE RESIDENTS. All they care about is snatching money out of the your pocket. My lease was supposed to end in mid-November. I approached the leasing office in September to make sure everything about lease closure goes smoothly. I spoke to Jakob, and we discussed my needs. I kept following with him in October. In end of October, I had to go out of country due to family medical emergency. My roommate vacated the apartment on the day before our lease was ending. Jakob asked for the keys, and my roommate handed them over. When I came back and met Jakob in first week of December, I was shocked and disappointed to know that they NEVER closed my lease, even after taking the keys. I've been asked to pay rent for an apartment which is empty since we vacated and the reason given is: "IT DOES NOT MATTER TO US IF YOU'RE COMING TO US SINCE SEPTEMBER AND TALKING TO ONE OF OUR ASSOCIATE, YOU NEVER GAVE IT IN WRITING." NOBODY EVER TOLD ME TO SEND ANY EMAIL OR FILL ANY FORM SINCE SEPTEMBER. I asked them at every step that "LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO" and all they told is the process. I also never received any response of an email I sent to Jakob asking for clear NEXT STEPS FROM MY END. RUDE STAFF WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE CARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY
Well, the environment of Easton commons is, of course, GORGEOUS and SAFE, because it's so close to the Easton mall. The location is FINE, but NOT the BEST. Near to airport, mall, and I-270. We, me and my husband, lived in 1 bedroom apartment for 14 months. The apartment was ok, but it had BED BUGS, which we removed it by ourselves. The electric bills were always TOO HIGH, even though couldn't make enough hot to warm the apartment during cold days. The carpet was INFERIOR. If you vacuum, it would be ripped so you'd have to pay for new carpet, when you move out. The apartment had many BIG WINDOWS, and the living room was WIDE, which was the two things that we really liked. The staffs are UNRESPONSIBLE, UNHELPFUL. They wouldn't give you any notice or information if they changed something you use. If you told them you had a request or problem, they won't do anything at least you told them many times repeatedly. Compare to price, service was REALLY POOR.
