Although it is the state capital and located deep in the heart of Texas, Austin generally has more in common with places like Portland, Oregon rather than other large Lone Star State cities like Dallas or Houston. Consistently named one of the best places to live in America, Austin combines passions for food, live music, entrepreneurship, iconoclastic attitudes, and Texas traditions into a wholly unique cocktail that people just can’t get enough of.
The expansion of the tech industry and the wild popularity of music festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest have boosted Austin’s profile as one of America’s most in-demand communities of the 21st century so far, attracting people from all walks of life and every corner of the world.
Regardless of their atypical culture, Texas pride runs deep in Austinites. Many of the city’s hip, young entrepreneurs are more than happy to deal in classic regional staples like Tex-Mex food, cowboy boots, and country music.

Property Ratings at Eastside Station
Moving in was smooth. Tatiana was very helpful and made sure I was properly accommodated. Location is good and close to downtown
Here you will be charged $20 a month for Fetch. A services with notoriously terrible reviews and services. Seriously, google it. All there is is negative press with it. Your packages will be lost and delayed and you have no say if it appears in your monthly fees. If you try not to use it. Your packages will be either returned or stolen. I think this is a great example of how this apartment management does not actually care about you.
When I moved out, I was charged for damages that were there when I moved in. They lost my move-in-inventory sheet and claimed I never turned it in, so they charged me for most of the price of the repairs out of my security deposit. Additionally, I had some irregularities with my water bill and the front office told me to pay the full bill anyway and that I would be reimbursed later when it was fixed. Unsurprisingly, they never fixed it and they say now that my water meter was fine the whole time, even though the utility company says it was definitely broken and I was overpaying. They also use a service called Fetch, where you ship all your packages to their warehouse and they deliver them to your door later. If you aren't home in the evenings, this means that you basically will never get your packages on the same day they arrive, because you can't have them brought to your door until way later than they actually arrive at the fetch warehouse. It's also a huge pain to manage what address to put where when you have one for general mail and one for packages. Also I think they de-listed the building from google maps because they were getting so many bad reviews.

Remy, we’re grateful to you for letting us know about your negative experience. We apologize that your experience did not match your expectations. We would like to note our Community Manager has worked with you directly to provide the following solutions. Since purchasing the property back in April, we had no record of the inventory and condition form you claim to have turned in. Your deposit was refunded up to 70% and the damage you claim to have not incurred, was reduced by half in good faith, based on your claim for not making the damage yourself. In addition, we have worked along with our Utility business partner to provide an additional refund for any overage that was formerly charged. Our Google maps listing is still active, if you would care to take another look. Lastly, we do have plenty of improvements for the community overall that will soon be rolling out that should address any of your former concerns. Should there be anything else you might feel is worthy of addressing. We would be happy to listen to provide any solutions.
Living at ESS has been great! The area is so nice and everything is super convenient. It's close enough to enjoy the east side but not sooo close that it's noisy. The staff and maintenance staff are very attentive and nice. The property stays pretty clean for the most part and the facilities are super nice.

We're delighted to hear about your experience! We are glad that you enjoy our location! We'll be sure to share your experience with the rest of our team members as inspiration! See you next time!
I used to love living here, but unfortunately Mill Creek bought this complex and the management is really bad now. Amenities are always broken, appliances are always broken with long repair wait times, and the office managers (specifically Tatiana) are always very rude and unhelpful. I would have renewed my lease, but I will look elsewhere now.

Hi, We want to thank you for taking the time to give feedback about your recent experience. We completely understand your frustration and apologize for not promptly resolving your concerns. Please call us at 512.713.1960 or send an email to EastsideStation@millcreekplaces.com to discuss your concerns. Sincerely, Maygan C., Assistant Community Manager
New management is incredible neglectful of residences. From roach infested units to safety issues (garage gate has been open for weeks and numerous residents have had their cars broken into) to negligent maintenance (had an emergency issue at midnight only to find out there was no emergency maintenance.) Don’t move here.
Management is consistently negligent with building safety (for example the gate to the garage is constantly broken and just stays open, and there are a lot of car break-ins), as well as upkeep (no WiFi in common areas for months, floors are always dirty, packages left out because they refuse to buy additional lockers). Been here 2+ years and while the apartments are lovely, not worth the high cost for the aggravation.
Management is hostile to residents. Consistently aggressive responses to resident inquiries and generally difficult to work with.
The property itself is lovely. Apartments are spacious and well designed, and the location is ideal. I was very happy until a new management company took over in November 2020. Since then, my impression has shifted from feeling like a valued resident in a fun community to feeling like an unappreciated employee with an uncaring, absent boss. The new management lacks any sense of empathy for residents. That may explain their more obvious problem of incredibly poor communication. Some examples from my experience
Please do yourself a favor and do not move here. From the start, we had issues with our unit. When we first moved in our apartment had bugs, cobwebs and an insane amount of lent on the walls inside the dryer/washer closet, also a huge stain on the carpet (in which management stated they had deep cleaned the apartment and did not offer us anything to make up for this)... anyways to the more important part. Management has completely abandoned us during the most crucial past few days. They start off by sending an email a day before the bad weather, stating that if our unit suffered any damages that we would be the ones held liable for it which you can tell this was sent with no empathy; simply for liability reasons. We were without power and heat for 4 days in below freezing temperatures. Some people, like myself, suffer from medical conditions and need electricity to run our devices (yes, this was not their fault) but not once did management send an email with suggestions on places to go, resources, etc. Instead they send an email DAYS after the fact basically saying that they will not be returning until power is restored to our community. People in our community suffered catastrophic loss due to flooding and lost everything, meanwhile management did not offer any assistance to them and told them they can take shelter in the community room.. on the two couches that are in there? While other apartment complexes are opening up their vacant units to let people shower, sleep, etc. This isn't even the worst part. When the pipes first busted at the complex 02/16 ~noon, the water was not turned off for the property UNTIL 02/17 ~6pm... that's over 24 hours of water free flowing through the complex causing catastrophic damage. Not to mention there was already a mold problem before this that they put a bandage on, now the damage is much deeper than that. I have never rented at a complex that lacks this much compassion for their residents before. The management does not care about you as a person, do not rent here. Also also, they would rather spend money on "security" (that we have only seen twice in a few months) and replacing all of our door knobs with electric looks than spending money on fixing the actual real problem of attempted auto thefts and multiple thefts that have happened at our location.
The new management staff is very rude , they do not care about their residents AT ALL! There is no places to take your pet Extremely overpriced Everyone I know that lives here is not resigning Wouldn’t reccomend living here to anyone
I have been here since February 2017, and I have enjoyed every single day! The staff is caring, responsive, and professional. They will make the move-in process a breeze from the tour right down to the date you claim your new home. I placed a maintenance request one late night, and the next morning they were solving my problem! As for the units, you have to see it in person. I stay in a one-bedroom on the first floor with the patio facing one of the courtyards, and my living and bed room receives the perfect amount of natural lighting. Which is important to saving electricity and great for indoor plants. From the floors to the ceiling lights and fans, the materials are all exquisite. The counters are durable, yet glossy. The appliances, cabinets, and back splash come together to form a great picture worthy kitchen. You will love furnishing your unit as it provides many opportunities to please your inner interior design skills. The rest of the property is amazing! One of the best gyms I've ever seen in a apartment complex, the pool is lively when it needs to be, but you can still go out there and enjoy a book as you soak up the sun. The location is prime for night life and people who love unique eating experiences. Tons of free parking right on the street for guests with accessible entrance points. Easy access to Downtown Austin and you can beat the traffic up to The Domain with the light rail as the station is only a block away. My verdict, if you can stay here, DO IT! You won't regret it. -David I.
