Property Ratings at Eastway Manor Apartments
I had a pretty unpleasant year living here and am moving out at lease end. I had several packages stolen with values over $500 each time and another valued at $1000. Since there are no locks to general public on front doorways, anybody has access to the apartments so you better be locking your door at night. Lots of strange people walk through due to the Y behind the complex. Several items were supposed to be repaired in the first month of living here and after 2 months I asked for them to be fixed. The reply was "well Covid has us short staffed so it's on the 'list' to get fixed." Well ladies and gentlemen, I don't know about your jobs but everyone is short staffed. But when the issue is actually causing damage to my property and hasn't been fixed in the 10 months I've been here? Yeah then staffing isn't the issue, it's the fact that they don't want to do work. I went through the whole month of February with my heat pumping at 80-85 degrees and it took maintenance the whole month to fix it. Most of the apartments are different since half of them have things others don't. I was unfortunate in getting neighbors from hell. They were up at 2-3am every day slamming doors and smoked cigs in the common areas which led to it getting into my apartment. I have a laundry list of other complaints but I hope you steer clear. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because they did give me new carpet prior to move in and my apartment was somewhat cozy. You get what you pay for, this place is super cheap compared to many other places in the area which is why I lived here short term.
Excellent location, great building, very spacious. Garage was nice but they must have given somebody a key to open my spot because somebody kept parking there so I never could which was really frustrating. Floorboards were creaky but that’s the only complaint I have about the apartment itself. The neighbors on the other hand were horrible. In the building next to me was a couple that was always screaming at each other. Any time I had a friend over it freaked them out. And the people in my building were crazy, the ladies upstairs would always be yelling in the hallway and the woman across the hall was just weird, for example she was vacuuming with her door open at midnight on New Year’s Eve which was a little annoying. Somebody also stole a couple of my packages when I was living there. On Halloween the entire complex lost power. Overall a so-so experience, but the apartment itself was amazing so I’m sure in a different building it could’ve been a lot better.
I have lived here over 10 years and love it here. Well taken care of and everyone is do nice and very friendly. Not moving. Management is fantastic. Property manager is wonderful.
The 2 bedroom is spacious. I'll give them that. Plenty of closet and pantry space. Garage too...but even that could use some sprucing up throughout the year. Each place has a patio/balcony. I never went on mine though b/c the eaves & gutters weren't cleaned. The neighbors were nice - but you can definitely hear them when you're home. They don't keep up with maintenance around the property. If you place a service call, they tend to just show up without letting you know beforehand; it would be nice to give the tenant a heads up. Also would be nice if they let you know that they had been there and what they had done to fix the problem and if the maintenance request is complete or if they need to come back.
I have been living here since 2016 and could not be happier! My apartment has been completely remodeled and has new everything! There is coin laundry on-site, dry storage and a garage! The common areas are clean and well-kept. The grounds are manicured and snow removal is prompt. Service calls are completed timely and staff is professional. The residents seem friendly, but keep to themselves (I like my privacy). There are sidewalks for the walking community and the location is close to shopping, restaurants, gas, supermarkets, farm stands, movies, and county parks. Why did I rate Eastway Manor Apartments with only four stars? It lacks a pool - but hey, you can't have everything!
