Property Ratings at Edge 1909
The soundproofing effect of this apartment is very poor. If you don't want to be disturbed by the sound of walking, music, rhythm and all noise, then please don't choose this apartment. Otherwise, you will be disturbed by all the noise coming from the property and you will be unable to sleep and live. The most important thing is that when you complain about the noise to the management, they do not take action and ask you to move out if you can't stand the noise instead of asking to make noise. people move away. Moreover, the management of this community is very poor, and express delivery and takeaway items are often lost. Finally there were frequent problems with the facilities so you had to always find someone to fix them. All in all this is the worst apartment I have ever stayed in.

Please contact us at (833) 431-6702 when you have an opportunity, and we will be more than happy to try and turn your experience around. We look forward to hearing from you.
Construction zone. I like living here, HOWEVER, if you are thinking of moving in, make no mistake, you will be living in a dirty, loud construction zone. Loud machinery starts at 6 am every morning except Sundays. The other day, they started at 4 am for a concrete pour. This construction is scheduled for the next 18 months or so. The same company that manages the Edge is building two more apartment buildings right next door, so they could adjust the hours, but they are in compliance with PGH laws, so I doubt they will. Just get used to the noise and the dirt.

Hello, we regret your time with us was not up to the standards we strive for, but we appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we can improve. We hope you will consider us again in the future. Take care.
I started to look for apartment three months before my current lease ends because I need give my current leasing office two month ahead notice . After tour at this place, I find one apt on second floor suits my need and I decided to sign the lease on the day of the visit. But the saleslady told me that they can not sign the lease with me right then so she just need to keep me updated on the availability of that apt. She promise me that the time for me to be able to come in to sign the lease is coming pretty soon. She said things moves forward quickly. and also I was told every month there is some great promotions going on. So I trust her words and waited patiently. I even turn down the offer from other places.Fast forward, Two month went by, I didn't received any updates. so I start to contact them, you know what! The apt that I like and all the similar ones are all sold out! and also there is no promotion going on any more because they already filled their spaces. My impression is This place is definitely cold and not trustworthy, they don't care about customer at all.

Thank you for your feedback. Here at Edge 1909 we have many different floorplans, some of which are more popular than others so we are sorry to hear that your preferred apartment home was leased and we understand the resulting frustration. We try our best to inform prospective residents of vacancies and upcoming or current specials but at this time we are only able to hold apartment homes vacant for short periods of time, and move-in specials do change periodically. If you’d like to discuss this further or would like to tour other apartment homes at Edge 1909 please contact us at (412) 420-6950.
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Nice amenities. Large pool for swimming laps. Cons: Freight elevator breaks often. No 24 hour concierge. Mail delivery system is not working well. Best case, your package gets put in a locker and. You get a notification. Worse case, your package gets let outside, yes outside. Most of the time, it gets dumped in a unsecured package room (at least it is in the building) and you have to hunt for it. The good news is that is quality time to talk to your neighbors while they are hunting for their packages. High gas Bill's for heating. Frequent fire alarms. The common room hours are from 8am to 10pm so no coffee before work, or no watching Monday night football. The staff has a plan to block off the common room for their own xmas party that residents are not allowed to attend during the holidays. Only 3 outside parking spots for guests. You can't get an extra apartment key. Other: There is a $25 fee for trash service pick up. If you don't pick up your packages from the lockers, they have threatened to charge a $5 a day fee per locker. Seems like they somewhat backed off this, but I am not sure. Expect 2 years of construction in the empty lot next to the apartment as their next buildings are supposed to start in March 2019.

Staff is super nice and the location is wonderful. However, the quality of the building is terrible. Wood paneling falling off our windows, tile coming up in the hallways, etc. Lots of time restrictions on the amenities that we pay good money for. Also, for a pet friendly building, it's not so pet friendly. Our dog isn't allowed anywhere but our apartment. Can't even have our dog in the outside areas. Not sure what we pay for honestly. Luxury apartment price, not luxury quality.

The location of 1909 is great. 4 minute walk to Penn Mac and all the strip shopping. City and River views also fantastic. Otherwise, forget about quality. Been there a month and had to have dryer repaired, fridge repaired. No space in the "walk in closet" to hang anything as long as a dress and they will not modify it. No one available after dinner time or on weekends and if you call the emergency number, you have to leave a message. The staff are great when they are there, and it is not their fault that the quality of the workmanship and materials are sub standard. Ceramic tile in new hallways is coming up already and needed repair. Below expectations for such expensive rentals.
