The collection of neighborhoods that make up West Omaha imbibe the area with a laidback, family-friendly atmosphere. Quiet suburban streets, well-maintained parks, and busy shopping centers and malls all combine to make West Omaha a popular spot for anyone looking to experience the relaxed nature of suburban living in the Midwest.
Village Pointe and Oak View Mall will keep kids and adults entertained, and there’s also two popular golf courses on the eastern and western boundaries of West Omaha. Renters have an incredible choice of apartments and homes here, as most properties are housed along peaceful tree-lined streets. Downtown Omaha is just 15 miles east, so while you enjoy the tranquility of the neighborhood, know that the buzz — and conveniences — of the city isn’t far away.

Property Ratings at Edgewater Court Apartments
When we first moved in it was wonderful, never had any issues to begin with but as the year continued we had property managers come in and out of the office, didn’t have a maintenance guy for a few months and the emergency number for maintenance didn’t work. We put in a 30 day notice for moving out and all of a sudden we had to stay an extra month because our lease somehow changed to a 60 day notice. Our living room flooded and it never got dealt with, the property manager came in and took pictures and that was about it. She had carpet guys come in and just put fans and a dehumidifier inside the living room. I asked the guys about the mold under the carpet and they didn’t say anything about it so we lived in mold basically. We left and stayed at our new place but before we left we knew we locked everything up and one day we came back to pick up the rest of our stuff, whoever our property manager hired to clean or fix stuff robbed most of our belongings and she still isn’t doing anything about it. She still charged us for the month of August and we don’t even live there anymore plus still didn’t receive our deposit. I recommend not living here because if you have a problem or you get robbed or etc management will not do anything about it and I almost considered suing because of the charges and not receiving anything.
Property Manager at Edgewater Court Apartments, Responded To This Review
Your review has been heard. We truly apologize for the inconveniences and continued issues during your residency. Per your lease that was signed, a 60 day notice is required which was not provided. Pertaining to the water intrusion, this was handled to the best of our ability given the circumstances the storm caused throughout the community. The items that seemed to go missing was investigated. There is a witness verifying nothing was taken other than trash left. It was found that the vendors had not come in until keys were turned into the office. I wish you and yours the best with your new home. If you chose to rent again, I strongly encourage you to read your lease and communicate with your office staff. Thank you for your residency and the constructive criticism
Don’t do it I reported carpet problems maintenance said they would get it scheduled never did then charged me after move out on top of that water came through. Ruling in bathroom and once again maintenance said at 200 am on January 1 2017 they would get repaired never showed back up lived with ceiling falling in for months not to mention the ceilings by door way were also falling in from water damage
I lived here for 3 years, moved out July 2019. If you’re looking to move here, make sure you see the apartment you’ll be renting before you sign anything. I was shown an updated unit, but was given an outdated unit. I had a lot of problems during my time there and they didn’t care too much to fix anything. Two burners on the stove didn’t work, one shower had a draining issue, the other shower had a mold issue and the wall around it was rotting, the windows were insanely drafty and the heat and a/c couldn’t keep up (temp was 80+ in the summer and 60 in the winter). The living conditions kept getting worse. BUT I do believe the new company the complex is owned by is working on updating units and cleaning up messes caused by the previous owner. Another downfall is the communal laundry. Washers cost $1.75 and the dryer cost $1.50 and you have to pay using a laundry card that has to be reloaded in the office. I spent about $80/mo doing laundry for two people. Overall, as long as you get an updated unit, it’s really a pleasant complex. Nice quiet neighborhood, amazing location.
I lived here for 2 1/2 years. When I first moved in, the neighbors were friendly and respectfully. I was absolutely happy with my decision. However after the first year the other tenants moved out. Be prepared for neighbors that have no respect for anyone but themselves and I mean slamming doors until they are off their temper tantrum (grown adults! Not children). Not only was their apartment door slammed shut but the hallway door that was shared with my living room wall would also be slammed. There also was an aggressive dog that the apartment complex was aware of and truly nothing was done. I mean aggressive as it would come at you pulling its owners once on the ground while they just laughed about it. Also if you enjoy waking up and coming home to "pot" smell apartment, this is the right apartment for you!
I have lived at Edgewater Court Apartments for 2 years. I absolutely love it. My maintanence issues always get taken care of in a timely manner, and when they need to order a part- they let me know. The office staff is hands down the best! The 2 ladies in the office, Amber and Lindsey are awesome. They are a little outdated but it’s a small price to pay to live in an apartment tucked back in a beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommend!!
I have lived in 4 different apartments in Omaha and this is by far the worst one! Maintenance is a complete joke! They do not know what they are doing when fixing anything, had to call for the same problem 5 times in a two week span. I have also had multiple work orders blown off. People at the front desk are VERY rude and unprofessional. STAY AWAY!
This is such a wonderful small complex with a helpful and friendly staff. If there is something to fix, it's done before you get home from work that day. Can't beat the view of the lake nearby and the walk around it is always so peaceful. Want to take a dip? Beautiful pool right next to the clubhouse with brand new lounge chairs and patio furniture. Close to work, shopping and restaurants - it felt like home the minute I moved in.
I am in love with my apartment home. I am nestled in a beautiful neighbor surrounded by incredible wildlife. It is common to see plenty of ducks, birds, rabbits and yes occasionally deer. Are you kidding me in the city? No kidding. The sunsets from my patio are majestic with a view of an peaceful yet inviting lake. My apartment home is a spacious two bedroom, two bath which give my daughter and I plenty of romping room. Our little man in our lives, Mr. Mocha (our Yorkie mixed dog, well puppy) has plenty of room to explore outside. Our campus is extremely pet friendly. :) I had searched very hard to find an environment that provides that home feeling without top-end pricing. My daughter and I feel safe and welcome in our new surroundings. Our apartment home has a fireplace for those chilly nights and the winter. Our campus as I like to call it has a enchanting pool with stunning updated lounging chairs and plenty enough rooms for friends. I am a single mother and every dollar counts in our home. I could not have asked for a more affordable home. I am truly blessed. The employees at our campus are friendly and have always been helpful with our needs.
