Property Ratings at Edgewood Apartments
We had problems with this place from the start. They showed us the model, which was nice, said our one bedroom would look exactly like it and we ended up with a 450sqft box, it was basically a studio apartment. We ended up moving into a 2 bedroom which is nicer and bigger, but smelled so bad we we moved in my dog was rolling in the carpet. The windows are a single piece of glass so in the winter time you have to wipe them down every 20 minutes to avoid mold, and the why they “get rid of” mold is to spray paint over it so it is not visible anymore. Walls are paper thin, if I have it quiet in my apartment I can clearly hear other people’s conversation through the walls. The ac unit is in a terrible place so it won’t cool down your bedrooms at night, and it is also louder than a vacuum cleaner, we have put our tv on 100 volume and still couldn’t hear it over the ac. I know this place says it is dog friendly but if you have a dog that barks you will get fined a lease violation even though it says nowhere in the actual lease that a barking dog is considered a violation of the lease. Management is impossible to work with, mind you we are good residents that have never paid rent a day late, I would hate to see the way they treat other residents. Everyone that I’ve talked to that lives here is not a fan of Angie, the leasing manager. She is sneaky and will hit you with “lease violations” that are nowhere to be found in the actual lease agreement. This is a good place to live if you still want to be checked in on all the time like your still living at your parents house, they do not treat you like an adult here. I was trying to argue the violation of my dog barking when I wasn’t home so Angie decided to email my fiancé’s mom. Angie and the whole leasing team is very childish, do not live here! And you can tell this place is failing, they switch management every year, try to make improvements then realize there’s no hope so they just sell it to another company hoping to make positive changes, don’t fall for the amenities! The “work out room” is two treadmills and an elliptical. The study room is decent, but the internet is extremely slow so don’t expect to quick print something before you go to class. I wouldn’t even refer my worst enemy. Oh yeah, and someone got shot and murdered in the building next to us over drugs, if you decide to live here keep your doors locked at all times.
