Combining the best elements of a modern metropolis with the rugged beauty of the American West, Salt Lake City has it all. “The Crossroad of the West” as its’ called, is ideal for folks who love the outdoors. Salt Lake City is surrounded by some of the most dramatically beautiful mountains and forests on the planet, perfect for mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, and camping in the summer, and world-class skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Even if you’re not the outdoorsy type, the stunning landscape provides unbeatable scenery.
Pioneer Park is a popular hangout for locals, and in the summer months hosts a free concert series featuring major national headliners. There’s a nexus of Interstates and highways that make exploring the outdoor destinations outside your apartment easy.

Property Ratings at EGate
My husband and I were looking for safe clean housing for our family. We have a 1-year-old son. We toured the apartments and the apartment that was shown to us was cute and clean. we decided to move forward and filled out all of our applications and paid a $299 deposit. We choose a 3 bedroom on the 4th floor. We had our home fully packed and movers and friends ready to help us move. We went to sign our lease and tour our new apartment. There were signs that I completely missed. First, they refused to let us see the apartment until after the lease was signed and the deposits and first months' rent were paid. That should have been my first clue. We proceeded with the signing, which was difficult as there was a language barrier. The second warning sign I foolishly brushed under the rug. My third clue should have been the young lady sitting by the office with a hoover carpet cleaner and bucket of cleaning supplies. When we finally got the keys to see the apartment we were horrified by what we found. The carpets were still wet from being carpet cleaning, and not professionally either mind you, it didn't help at all, if anything having it cleaned by a cheap hoover carpet cleaner likely made it worse. There were stains all over the carpet and there was a strong smell of cat urine. as we started looking in the cupboards we found dead cockroaches in all the drawers and cupboards. and there was a LIVE cockroach walking in the kitchen. If you know anything about cockroaches you know that if you see one then there are thousands more that you can't see. There were deep gouges in the wood flooring and the stove had all the coils removed and we couldn't find them for a while. The bathrooms still had soap scum in them and under the sinks in the bathrooms were covered in old nails. I knew I could not allow my son to crawl on those floors. We quickly left and my husband went back to the office and told the staff there that it was completely unacceptable. He demanded our deposits and rent back. We were told the 299 that we paid to reserve that apartment was non-refundable. We have been trying to get it back with no luck. The property was not at all what it was advertised to be. At one point the manager got in a shouting match with my husband, when my husband told him that they falsely advertised the property. I would not recommend anyone live here.
Have been living here about a few years now. the neighborhood wasn’t that safe, but the location is so convenient for the job. It has changed the management at least two times. It has some improvements, less graffiti and dog waste. However, parking is still big problems, it like war zone and car got damaged or vandalized without who did. Another problem is smoking rules has changed, the tenants have been allowed smoking from their own Barclay!? So if you’re the neighbors who don’t smoke, be prepared to become a second hand smoker! Hope the management will make improvements to these areas. Or will have to move out of this place soon, so Sad!
If you want to be able to park late at night, good luck, because that's impossible at this place. Need reliable Internet? This place only uses one provider that comes with every apartment, they don't allow you to use another provider. Have fun with the frustration where the Internet isn't working when you really need it, and when it does work, it's completely slow and not even worth it.
So, let me start about parking; IT IS A TOTAL JOKE. if you don’t make it at the right time in the day, you’re totally screwed, you’ll have to park at the very front of the property and walk very far to get to your home. This is TERRIBLE treatment and probably will never be fixed. INTERNET: No choice, strictly on a service they provide, it works half the time, nothing streams efficiently, recently was told there was an upgrade and turns out it may be even worse than it was. BAD. Garbage everywhere, theifs lingering, homeless living in abandon cars. Very uneasy place to go through at times. They need NEW management, new employees, ones that actually care about the place and re-innovating. I speak for A LOT of people, it is an AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
I Love everything about this apartment the mananger is great person and the neighborhood is really nice people
