The Eastside of Greenville, South Carolina is a neighborhood to remember. A large portion of town is taken up by the Greenville Downtown Airport, a huge convenience and perk of living on the Eastside. Directly west of town, you’ll run into Bob Jones University, a beautiful campus with a vibrant atmosphere.
Eastside is filled to the gills with retailers and restaurants. Haywood Mall is a one-stop-luxury-shop for everything on your wish list. With stores ranging from Coach and J. Crew to Pandora and Pottery Barn, this is a shopper’s paradise with upscale retailers galore. Quick eats like Chick-fil-A and upscale restaurants such as the Cheesecake Factory are located in the mall as well.
Numerous local restaurants reside around town, many family-owned, like the delicious Adams Bistro on Pelham Road.

Property Ratings at Element At East North
I was in a tight spot and asked for a 6 Month lease and am still being billed for rent after my lease expire because the Landlord filed the wrong paperwork and refuses to take me off of the lease.
My daughter currently has a lease here. They've had several plumbing issues that have caused leaks in the ceiling. One leak was in the bedroom weeks ago and still has not been fully repaired. They get to look at pipes while laying in bed. A second leak occurred in the linen closet and flooded the hallway and closet. There is now mold in the apartment and my daughter is pregnant. She cannot even stay in her apartment until the issue is properly remedied. Maintenance finally responded after literally having to go find them and we are just waiting to see how long it will take to fix everything. However, I have little faith that it will be fixed properly. No one can ever be found in the office and they don't return your phone calls. I would not recommend you live her unless you just want something inexpensive and do not care about your health.
They advertise as luxury and IT IS NOT, bunch of people drinking outside premises. Maintenance and Management completely useless. You'll get treated as inhuman as possible. The place is falling apart. I cant describe how awful was my experience in this place. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else.
This is one of the absolute worst places I have ever lived in my entire life. You WILL get what you pay for. DO NOT DO IT.
Roaches roaches roaches! Coming in from outside and other people's apartments. Apartments are old! Doors have space where air comes in. Outside hallway nasty and stinks

Property Manager at Element At East North, Responded To This Review
We are so sorry to see your experience hasn't been more positive. We can assure you that our staff is here to help our valued residents get the excellent stay they deserve, and we apologize if your interactions have not reflected the high standard of service that we aim to provide. We would appreciate the opportunity to improve your time in our community and address any outstanding issues you are currently encountering, so please reach out to our office directly and we can work with you towards a resolution. Thank you.
There is no spa or tennis courts and the pool is atrociously under kept. The units are old and not maintained; they do NOT look like the pictures at all. Work orders for repairs are ignored or grossly delayed. Complaints regarding other residents being loud after hours or smoking pot are ignored. Staff is never in the office and never answer the telephone. The only thing this complex has going for it is the location, which is close to downtown and in the middle of a great grocery and shopping area, but don't waste your money at this place when there are other, nicer complexes in the same price range.
Do yourself a favor and never ever live here. Staff are rude and do NOT follow the law! They will enter your apartment without notice and they give you a hard time about everything. Pests are always a problem. Maintainence never gets taken care of. Overall horrible place to live. You pay for all utilities. Pool is closed. Has been all summer. Not worth the money at all.
I can't stand living at GrandEagle Apartments. Maintenence is a joke, and you're lucky if they ever show up. For whatever reason the pool was drained this past summer and if the pool is what's drawing you here, just don't, there are ALWAYS too many little kids in the pool, and their parents did NOT teach them any respect. If you just want to sit out and get some sun don't count on it. They will throw things at you, shoot you with water guns, and not care when you tell them to stop. The office WILL NOT work with you in extenuating circumstances. If your mother dies and you have to pay for a funeral, make it small, because they will STILL charge you a $75 late fee if your rent is ONE DAY late. The laundry rooms are hot and cramped and there's nowhere to sit. And you have to pay to do it. I do my laundry at the laundromat down the street, where at least I can sit and wait for it. When we first moved in there was a major roach problem. After months of complaining they finally got an exterminator, and thankfully haven't seen a roach since. However we do get stink bugs, and I have to catch them and release them outside with a cup before our cat sees them. And pets? I don't remember how much the pet deposit was, but it was maybe $250? and an additional $10 a month per pet. Pretty sure you can only have 2. They don't tell you that in the listing and it caught us by surprise, but by then it was too late. I've not seen a spa or clubhouse since I've been here, do we have those? I don't even know. Our dishwasher does not work, we've been using it as a drying rack when we hand wash our dishes. The office will only accept rent payment in the form of money orders which is a hassle. You can get them at the Bi-Lo just down the street, but it's still annoying and they don't tell you that right away. To top it all off, we had intended to renew our lease when it ran out, but one month before it did, the office left a long note on our door, stating "If you intend to leave GrandEagle apartments, you are required to let the office know 2 months in advance. Therefore your security deposit will be forfeit should you decide to leave." When it came time to renew, our rent went from $490 to $575 because "That is the price of rent for your size apartment now" without warning. Had we known it would increase so much we would have moved. Our apartment is far too small to warrant that price.
I have lived in Grandeagle for two years. Throughout those two years I have had: a knob on the oven break(took six months for maintenance to replace, we could not use the oven in those six months for baking), the tub faucet keeps leaking (maintenance has been here several times and it is still not fixed), the A/C was not working when I moved in and just recently broke for several weeks(they gave us a small window unit after a week), we have had mold in our bathroom from the tub faucet leaking and have had to get maintenance in several times (all they did was spray bleach in those areas), we had our dishwasher start to leak from under our carpets in the living room and bedroom every time we ran it (it took several months to get a new dishwasher in and to fix any carpet damage), all this and we have never once had any discounted rent especially when we have ALWAYS paid our rent on time. I feel like the rent we are paying currently is way higher than what we should be paying for this apartment, because of the problems we've had. I would love to move out, but we had to sign another smaller lease in order to make plans and save up to leave. I will be glad when my lease is over and done with and I can finally get out of here.
Having just moved here I am impressed with the management. Very efficient, they have done everything possuble to make my transition into my home so easy. The apartment is a very large one bedroom. Between the bedroom and bath is a large walkin closet and a sit down dressing table with large wall mirror and several drawers. I have a dining room and a back porch. I walk out my front doir to the pool. Location is great, in walking distance of many stores and restaurants. Also public transportation is right down the street which is great fir me since I no longer drive. I feel I have truly come home.
