Property Ratings at Element at Midtown
This place is infested with bugs, the staff is impossible to get a hold of, everything breaks, people are constantly doing drugs in the buildings, the staff comes into units without notice, and the worst part is you cannot cancel their overpriced lease at any point. Do not live in this place, by a nice cardboard box it’s a better alternative
I have been at this apartment since July, this has been one of the worst apartments that I have experienced. If you are thinking about staying here DONT! Here are just a couple of things that have made this the apartment from hell. when moving into the apartment the elevator broke down so everyone had to bring all their furniture and things through the nasty stinky stairwell. It is currently May, and the elevators are still broken, and they are never working so we are always forced to take the stairs. Another thing is the maintenance and trash team never come pick up the trash, so the trash constantly builds up which leads to you getting nats and flies and roaches in your apartment and the apartment hallway always stinks! ( if you tell the property manager they will just give you some raid and go about their day.). The Leasing office is never any help and does not take complaints seriously, all they care about is getting people to buy into these overpriced apartments. Also, the car gate is never working so it is always open 24/7. so your car is never safe since the gate does not lock. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE AND MOVE HERE!
No matter what, if you want an apartment in the area around the University of Memphis area, it is not going to be a perfect experience. Lived here for 2 years and I can confidently say that from stories I hear from friends at other properties, I had a better experience than them. I had minimal issues while I was here, office staff was always responsive. No one really uses the amenities so they are all generally clean, and if they are not you can let the office know and it should be fixed by the next day.
Tons of undisclosed costs, filthy, alarms always going off, price is not worth the quality, parking garage is to short for any vehicles that are lifted at all. Had fleas in apartment when moving in. Manager never responds until days later.
Trash chute and room is usually always filled, urine in the elevators, poor maintenance, fire alarms periodically are pulled, smells like marijuana throughout the hallways, trash in the stairwell, elevators and hallways, power outages are common, always overages on utilities bill. Great location though.
I really love this place! the first time i had a tour with this wonderful place the people were so nice and fun to talk to and also they give very great information to the guest ,Therefore i will indeed tell my friends and family about this beautiful place. Thanks you!
When i first moved into the Stratum, I was excited about the whole idea of finally moving out of my parents place. I was an upcoming sophomore and college and longed for freedom. I chose the Stratum Apartment because of the low cost rent, the awesome location and distance from my school and job, and the fact that all included amenities. The only thing that I would recommend is that you the roommate placement could be a little better especially if you are placed with someone that is cold nature and you are warm nature.
This is quality place to stay and has amenities and a welcome staff that looks to bond with you thru your experience with them!
