Property Ratings at Elevate at The Pointe
When we first moved here two years ago, I must say that weren’t thrilled. There were the usual maintenance issues that come along with an older property - creaking wood, leaking, lose door handles. This created situations where we routinely interacted with the management personnel - and they were wonderful! So we decided to give it another go and renewed our lease after applying for remodeled unit. There is new staff in the office and the service has only gotten better. They are kind and very prompt with work orders. Every holiday they host family-friendly gatherings that include food and music. It makes us happy to see all of the kids, many of whom have come from all over the world. And the property upgrades are great! I really feel a sense of community with our neighbors. We fell in love with Marietta while being at Liberty Pointe and recently renewed our lease for another year. I hope the current office management never leaves!! Don’t believe all the negative reviews. Yes - the property is old. Yes - there are some maintenance issues. The cost of rent, location, family-friendly environment, sense of safety, and customer service greatly outweigh any issues we’ve experienced. As a resident, I encourage anyone to take a look at moving here. Just don’t be a bad neighbor :). It’s amazing how a great property manager can make a difference.
First of all they could care less about you. Both times when it snowed they did nothing for our safety. Not one time did they ever put any snow melt on the steps that are not straight the are at a 20 degree angle and you will fall when they get icy. The roaches are very bad. They have gone through many shady exterminator companies and the roaches laugh at them. Roaches are not scared of you at all. They jump in your food while you are cooking. You will have to pay out of pocket to try to get rid of them. You can bomb 3 times a week and it does nothing. They just go to another apartment and come back in a few hours. The ones the bombs do get will be everywhere. Last time I cleaned up 68 dead roaches cause I counted them. All the reviews about roaches is not a lie. The baby roaches will get in your refrigerator. The noise is bad from your neighbors. I can tolerate that. People are moving out everyday and not many are moving in. People they do let in are drug dealers and be careful not to be to noisy. They will cut your tires or damage your car.. not safe and police know that it is bad here. Call them and ask. I seen police shoot outs since I have lived here myself. Look it up online from June 2017. Most of the outside lights are broken and have never been fixed since I been here. They have gone through many people at the office. Mail boxes were broken for 3 weeks and we could not get mail. Had to call the post office to find out why I was not getting mail. Turns out the mail boxes were broken and not safe to put the mail in them. The post office just drop off the mail at the office and they never sent out a letter or e mail about it. This place will be gone in a year and you can tell by how they are taking care of it. They know the city will be bull dozing it soon which is why no money is spent on the place. Just bare minimum is all they do here. The place is a electrical nightmare. The plugs move out of the walls when you unplug anything. Not surprised they have not burnt down.. just run is all I can say. They are desperate just to fill them and will allow anyone to move in...
I've only been here for less than a year and this place is horrible! Customer service is horrible and everything about it is horrible! There's been two crimes murder involved here at Liberty Pointe within the month of June 2017. I do not feel safe leaving my house or sleep at night. I have anxiety of someone breaking into my house when I'm not home. My apartment is filled with roaches and bugs! I HAVE to go out of my way to buy poison to kill them and they keep coming back. Mind you, I keep my place as clean as possible and mop and disinfect every other day. I have couple months left and I am so ready to leave. Things kept broken and no one comes to fix it or if they do, they said they'll be back and never show back up. I've put in work/maintenance order but no one shows up.My AC automatically blows out hot air and kept dying. When i first moved in, the closet reeked of old cigarettes (still does too) and the bathroom vent kept making a weird noise every so often! The pool is horrible and is possibly broken. They don't clean it and couple of the times, I've saw dead roaches floating in the pool. Residents here don't know how to throw away their own trash and usually leave it on the curb, or next to the garbage disposable and not inside. Trust me, you can find a better place if you want safety for you and or family. I regret signing contract with this apartment complex and spending so much money on this apartment.
Cars get broken into frequently here and the apartments are overpriced. You can find cheaper apartments close by. I personally have had my car broken into and the landlord have left their keys in my door for hours while I was at work and then forgot about them. If you think you are paying extra to be in a safer neighborhood than I would not recommend considering Liberty Pointe.
RUN!! I have never lived in such filth!! Roaches running the place. Pest control does not help. Went on vacation and came back to my home being overran by roaches. Cleanliness doesn't matter here. RUN the other way!!
There are so so so many things wrong with how disgusting these apartments are!! Seriously let's start out with the roach problem. Truly a problem that never goes away!!!! If it's not roaches it's ants or even bees! A month after I had moved in my bed got infested with bed bugs!! I had not traveled anywhere they were there when I moved in!! I was bitten for weeks and they straight up told me it was my problem to take care of. I had to spend over a thousand to get rid of them! They do not take care of the property and way overcharge for the quality of apartments you will get. It is seriously a health issue even being there- so the air conditioning went out 7 times within 2 weeks and they were called 5 times!! It took them FIVE different people to finally solve them problem!! Worst of all we diddnt get compensated in any way for the the temp being 100 in the apartment for several days!!! It was unlivable!!! This last incident takes the cake however the downstairs flooded and it was moldy and so so so gross. So they moved all the stuff to the kitchen and said they would be back in a week to put a pad back in and move our stuff back. They never came back EVER I tried calling and left messages and no one ever responded. So Saturday two weeks later I called and they said that it was to bad no ones there to help. ???? but get this it was MY fault the tenant for not tracking THEM down!!! Please please please heed my warning stay as far away from this place as you can!!!!!!!!!
When I first moved in I thought the apartment was great. Within the first week, however, I quickly came to realize that the place was overrun with roaches. During my time here I have seen them in my bed (as I was in it) as well as INSIDE my refrigerator! They did a building wide extermination for the roaches which got them under control for the most part, but now I am seeing ants all over the place. Mind you, I clean my ENTIRE apartment religiously on a weekly basis, if not more often. So it's not a matter of cleanliness. Besides the bugs, my electric bill has been consistently aroumd the $240 mark since I moved into this ONE BEDROOM. I used to live in a two bedroom, 2-1/2 bath townhouse and paid half that amount even in the winter months. The floors are very creaky. I can hear literally every single step my upstairs neighbor takes, as the floor makes it sound like his feet are made of cinder blocks. In my own apartment, it feels like the carpet was laid over random objects that I can feel under my feet when I walk around the place. On the upside I haven't had any major issues with noise in the complex; the people are quiet for the most part, and the office staff has been pleasant to me. Overall though, this complex is way overpriced for the quality of residence that is received as a tenant here, and the loss of peace of mind at seeing cockroaches crawling over your food when you open the refrigerator cannot even begin to be put into words.
At first glance it seems great. New carpet, paint, and appliances. The real issues are as follows. *Notices for absolutely anything they are doing, are given out on your door between 5-6pm the night before. * Every other square foot of flooring squeaks, and makes noise. When they refurbished the apartments they failed to replace the warped wooden floors. Talk about being cheap. Not to mention they left stuff under the carpet and pad. You can feel it everywhere. * The back deck, has no cover over them, so all the tree limbs and leaves fall on the deck. The wood on the deck, is so old and rotten you MUST wear shoes, due to wood splinters and nails pulling up to the old wood when it gets wet. Why replace the walls between the apartments between you and the railing on the deck and not the floor, and no screen door. * The appliances and fixtures are nice looking but are the cheapest on the market, and fail all the time. Ask the neighbors about their NEW appliances and how many times they have had to get them repaired or replaced by the company. You get the picture. Lots of changes on Franklin rd but dont fall for the sales talk. Its still franklin road and for the price we pay for a 2 bedroom its not worth it except for the square footage, and 2 minutes to the freeway. Started out at $868 and jumped a $100 the second year. Cant wait to see what they offer for the next year.. we will NOT stay.
Do not let the remake fool you, they have roaches and your paying high rent. I know reviews always want to show the good and yes they redid the area well but there are still roaches in my home!
I adore this complex! Its quiet, well kept and neighbors seem to be pretty friendly. I know the area has had a reputation but it does not seem to have affected this complex.
In 2014 a new management company came and totally transformed the complex. New roofs, new windows, all new appliances and baths. This is an older complex, however, it is now modern.
I adore this complex! Its quiet, well kept and neighbors seem to be pretty friendly. I know the area has had a reputation but it does not seem to have affected this complex.
