Property Ratings at Elevation Apartments at Crown Colony
Elevation is an excellent property and enjoys a number of inherent advantages that help it to rank highly among the seven different apartments I have occupied. Completed in early 2019, the units are spacious and the wood-frame construction solid. There are tons of electrical jacks and the units are ideal for today's technologic, even post-pandemic lifestyles. The location is also ideal: with free parking, Elevation is situated on the border of the part of Boston that one accesses by train and foot and the outskirts that are best accessed by car. Those who are moving to the Boston area with a car will not feel pressure to give it up. The following characteristics of the units should be known to prospective renters, but bear in mind that all of these things factor into an overall "excellent" rating. - Sound: the windows are very insulative, which suggests that they will hold heat in during the Massachusetts winters. Walls are good, too. However, the wood frame construction can conduct sound through the floor if your upstairs neighbor walks with heel strikes. It's no worse than any other wood frame construction, however: just know what the units are made of. The main room's central AC / heating system is powerful, but tends to activate with many short bursts to maintain a given temperature and is rather loud. Closing the bedroom door will be sufficient for most sleepers. - Shelf and closet space: there is adequate but not plentiful closet space. As for shelving, the kitchen has ample cabinetry and the high ceilings provide more useful storage space above the cabinets. However, the bathrooms have very little cupboard space, no medicine cabinet, and not a lot in the way of places to hang a towel. An over-the-door towel rack will go a long way to fixing the problem, but I did invest in a standing vanity cabinet. - Floor plans: the leasing agents are very helpful and will provide PDFs of each apartment. Study them carefully, as some of the units (the largest "E1" one-bedrooms making up the "elbows" of some buildings) have an odd shape that may not be the simplest to furnish. I have an E1, and found a good way to do it, but it involves some clever placement of the TV and a bit of a woodworking project to ensure that I can do it aesthetically and without putting too much into the drywall. - Package receiving: every property will have its teething problems, and this is one for sure, but I've been assured that a better system is in the works.
I don’t even know where to begin! For starters The Elevation office staff are the best! They really go above and beyond to exceed your needs. I feel very fortunate to have such great staff available who are willing and happy to help. I love the amenities like, The pool, Grills, Fire pit and the little water pond! I live on the 5th floor and have stunning views and the garage down stairs is sooo convenient, No more shoveling or getting caught in nasty weather! Im a current resident and give 5 stars!!!!
Elevation is the best deal around. Luxury amenities, beautifully kept grounds, nice and quiet. Highly recommended!!!
Great place to be for sure. Not bad at all. Worth checking out.
Very happy with my choice to rent here, The rents reasonable and the neighborhood is very calm. Never had an issue with the management, Because they are always quick to resolve my issues.
Lived here for a year and it was not a good experience. I’ve been renting for many many years and this was by far the most disappointing apartment ever. Elevation might be new and shiny but it definitely has it’s downfalls. First - the elephant stomping noises from the apartment above us - were TERRIBLE; happening all hours of the night and early morning hours. After multiple complaints and management “talking” to the tenants above us, nothing was resolved, and we just had to live with it. We were told that supposedly one of the tenants worked weird hours because they drove for Uber, and they also had a friend over and let them practice their tap dancing(!!!), but they also had kids running around on top of that - it was just endless excuse after excuse and nothing was done for us to compensate for this (and we were living in one of their most expensive units, so it was particularly disappointing because it was not what you expected for having to pay so much for rent). There is also a big lack of communication, probably due to the high turnover of management and staff. Lots of notices are made after the fact or within very short notice (like 24 hours short). Rules keep getting changed whenever they feel like it, without consulting any tenants - like the coffee machine only being available for a few hours in the morning when it was supposed to be available 24/7 as we were told when we signed, changes in package policy requiring us to walk over and get all packages from the leasing office which has limited hours instead of just being able to grab our packages from our building’s lobby (a real inconvenience during inclement weather when you just want what you ordered without having to go outside), they switched out our washer/dryer halfway through to a much louder one, and the list goes on. There is also dog poop everywhere that residents don’t pick up and aren’t made to pick-up so it’s really unsightly and smelly; I tried reporting it once but with no-response and nothing being done about it. If you’re thinking about living here, re-think it. It’s not all that glamorous, it just looks like it.
When I first began watching Elevation under construction from my Hotel room at the Marriott I knew this was going to be a special place. Once the temporary rental office was in place I setup an appt to better understand what this property was to offer. Living in a brand new apt as the first tenant intrigued me. Everything from the shuttle service, clubhouse amenities, and vantage point high up in the air overlooking Crown Colony captured my attention. The building I wanted to live in was not scheduled to be ready soon and I lost interest. About one-year later after construction and landscape was completed I setup another appt to see the building I was interested in. When I arrived at the rental office I felt very welcome and at ease with the staff. I can not think of a question they could not answer. I then really put them though the paces touring just about every floor plan and even other buildings on the property. Then I went back two more times and never felt like I was a burden. Finally I signed the deal for my dream building with a wonderful view. Upon taking possession the brightness and fresh smell of my own brand new never lived in before apt was amazing. I did have several new apt issues that required attention, and the web site tenant portal was my gateway to timely repairs by helpful maintenance personnel. All of my issues were addressed in less that 48 hours. I enjoy the email updates sent out by the property management with things such as weekly tenant group gatherings for food, holiday party gift wrapping gatherings, and seasonal party’s. Being into technology I was happy that fiber optic technology was brought into the apartment unit itself along with Ethernet jacks throughout the unit for my networking pleasure. I have a beautiful balcony overlooking the pond and saltwater pool. The numerous outdoor grills for our use added a nice touch, as do the fire pits and lounge chairs. I have found a wonderful home here now and am so happy. This is where I want to stay for some time.
This place has all the bells and whistles. What more can you ask for? There is even an ice rink.
This is by far one of the best luxury community all around. The amenities that are being offered are amazing. Not to mention, they have an ICE SKATING RINK in the Winter! This place is phenomenal with NO HIDDEN FEES. Another best aspect about this community is the staff. Everyone in the office is very friendly, passionate, and helpful. The best team at Elevation at the best location with the best amenities. What more can you ask?
I couldn't be happier with my choice to move to Elevation! My commute time to Boston is cut in half and when I come home, I can really relax in a luxurious, comfortable environment. The property is beautiful and the apartment finishes are bright, modern and brand new.
What a beautiful community! I visited Elevation last week for a tour and was amazed at how beautiful the property was. The leasing team was extremely helpful as well(& didn't fuss when I wanted to see 5 different units). Can't wait to move in here!
The apartment is really nice, but the ceiling material is very thin, and the upstairs walking can be heard all the time. Earplugs are necessary for sleep at night.
