I lived there for 2 years. There are always problems with the plumbing. They are always shout off the water almost every week to fix a plumbing problem. The windows have not been replaced since the complex was build over 50 years ago. When there is heavy rain, the windows are always leaking, and Millipedes come into the Livingroom. There is dog poop all over the complex.

This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. Over the course of 9 months, we have had serious maintenance issues (including but not limited to the AC breaking 4x, water leaking through a light fixture, a plethora of bugs, cabinets falling off the wall, and more). This by itself has been terrible, but the lack of communication from maintenance and management about when they will be fixing issues tops that. They often give less than 24 hour notice when they will be stopping by, and actually do the same when shutting off water (which has occurred several times with less than ONE HOUR notice). Please do not subject yourself to the horror of living here.

We apologize for any instance of short notice for water shut-offs. A burst pipe due to extreme cold dictated an immediate cut-off without the opportunity to provide notice. At times, the waterworks will suspend service while working on lines without alerting our office. The team always attempts to send timely announcements before any work takes place or shortly after we've been informed of a break in service. We've reviewed our records and did not find an instance of cabinets falling from the wall. Our manager would appreciate discussing this incident and the other concerns listed. Every resident deserves a five-star lifestyle, and our team truly wants to create a better experience for you. This management company is not a good company. They are big liars. The Gate does not work most of the time. The complex has had 7 car thefts and car break ins and they have not notified anybody within the past two months. The security doors do not work anybody can walk in. I have had two packages stolen from my door. They do not fix anything. My sink in my bathroom has drained right in months. They do not repair anything. The upgrades look good on the outside but are very cheap on the inside.

All of the one star reviews are true. Do not believe them. The "new updates" are all a facade. Things may look nice but they aren't. Communication is bad and the work is shoddy. Just don't waste your money here. I could write a book about all of the ridiculous things they have done. Once I move out, I'll probably write an even more honest review detailing all of the misfortunes of this apartment. Bottom line, just stay away.

I could write paragraphs about how awful it has been to live here, but I will keep it short: do not choose to live here. It has been a nightmare living here and I haven't even lived here 5 months. The issues with the apartment themselves are not horrible, but the way they are handled by management makes you want to pull your hair out. Something is always wrong, construction/maintenance ruins personal property with no intent to fix, promised maintenance does not happen unless YOU follow up with them daily, no communication from management or maintenance on when/where/how it will be fixed. They shut off water to the whole property with only ~15 minute notice, the email lists are different (so some residents get updates and others don't), pool has never been opened since new management took over, gate is constantly broken/open, all fixes made are never done professionally, just with some ductape or glue. I could go on and on and on. It's just not worth it. Keep looking.

They get new people in office every week. I suppose to have gotten the renovated apartment, but got some totally different. They need to go around and remodel the ones who been here way longer

I recently moved to Elevation Homewood and I absolutely love it! Tiffany is THE BEST, she made the process quick & easy! My apartment is spacious & so pretty and the complex is clean & quiet. The Homewood schools are awesome & my kids have made a seemless transition! I have no complaints & I am so very happy with our new home!!!

This review is one of those occasions where it would be nice to give a rating below one star. Honestly, zero stars would be generous. Management is poor and basically impossible to contact unless you can catch them in the office. For several years, it has been a milestone if a property manager lasts more than 3 months. The property mode of messaging residents is by placing rolled-up sheets of paper between the door handle and the door. "Valet waste removal" is never consistent and the property management chooses to threaten fines for residents about waste removal. Elevation Homewood is an older property with all of the problems you would expect and poor response to maintenance requests. Don't be fooled by the "updated units" claim. The work is shoddy at best and done by the cheapest materials and labor they can find. "Gated community" is a joke. The gate is never closed. Security is non-existent. If you are even remotely considering moving here, it's a very bad idea. Don't do it. You will be extremely disappointed.

After living here for three years am sad to say this will be my last year here. The management sucks. Maintenance sucks. Nothing gets done. My fridge has broken down three times and every time they bring in another old one that doesn't have long to live. My ice maker has not been fixed now for two years. Every time I ask they say that they are waiting for shipment. As we speak,I have a leak under my sink since the week before thanksgiving. Again, i have asked and the parts are not here yet. For how long do I have to keep emptying the bucket from under my sink? In the three years I have been here I have watched over five different managers come and go. Every new manager comes in with their new team promising to do better and get things done but nothing gets done. Maintenance crew change and things get rolled over to others and nobody remembers to fix anything. I have tried reaching out to the regional manager and left couple messages. She never called back. Nothing. Am just tired. Am angry and I can't wait to get out of here. Please don't get yourself into this hell hole if you can help it.

Management tried to double charge me for rent before I ever even moved in. Absolutely nothing was move in ready it took a week for maintenance to cover an exposed breaker box and put a handle on a bathroom door along with many other issues. We were sent a rent bill for more than was listed on our lease. Management hardly ever answers the phone and rarely solves problems. After less than a month of living here I know I will not renew my lease. Save yourself some time and anger by not even considering this place. The only positives about this apartment is the location and the balcony.

I currently live here and it is awful! New staff cares about the look but not the maintenance. Pool has a leak and has not been inspected so everyone is swimming but us! Water bill $140/month but not possible! Insane,insane,insane don't move here!

Due to the complex being built in the 70's, I did have a few small issues in my apartment. The office staff and maintenance team are working diligently to resolve them. Very compassionate and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Thank you Elevation Homewood!!

The management here is terrible. They "lose" payments all the time. We've had 3 late notices come in when I've paid rent and water on the 1st of every month through their online portal. Now, they've lost our move-out notice and we're being charged with a $1,630 early termination fee. When I went to the office, the guy told me there was nothing he could do because we turned it in before he got there. With the frustrations that come from the lack of organization, you're better off spending your time and money elsewhere.

a child was KILLED in the apartment. I called the office because now I feel unsafe. As I was asking my question the office manager hung up the phone in my face!!! This apartment complex has changed at least 6 times within 8 mos!! They are rude and unprofessional. They are the most unprofessional staff I have ever met. Today I will be speaking with a lawyer about my lease. The signs says multi million dollar renovations. They are all LIES. The only updates on the building is cheap paint on the trim. If I could give this place a -10 I would.

As far as a quiet neighborhood...I can say that it is But I have been here over a year and I think this is my last one When I got here I was given one price ss a rental fee..b/c they rushed to do a so call upgrade (only changing out the countertops in the bathroom and kitchen) The price changed..less than a year of being here..some1 else bought the property...and they are horrible...they are comin in changing prices ....you will never see the same people if u go in a week later...then on top of that they are remodeling the same countertops the previous owners just did..only to increase the rent more!!!!! Closet doors are horrible, air units suck.....and the people they have remodeling the apartments are horrible and slow ..no respect for your place and they comin in and out ...As much money u pay for this place its not worth it.....

Moved out. Pooh maintenance sinces abbeys was bought out shower went out been over four months still wasnt fixed before i moved out a/c unit leaks into hall way. poor communication from staff then they are raising rent and the remodel is still not worth it

Don't live here. Elevation Homewood is an older property with all kinds of issues rolled up into one overpriced bundle. My main issue is with plumbing. We've lived here for two years, and we are currently on our 5th flood. At this moment, I'm paying $845 (base rent) for a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. (The SMALLEST 2br2ba). I'm down to one bedroom, one bathroom, and the living area-a glorified hotel room-because of plumbing/flooding issues. Our pipes out of the apartment are so old and so brittle that they have just collapsed. Boom. Not more outgoing water for you guys! (Does this mean I don't have to pay for sewer) We initially called the emergency maintenance line around 7pm because water was pouring out of our sink (from the drain) and out of the drain for our washing machine. Someone finally showed up to our apartment 4 hours after our call (11pm) to see what the issue was. We were told that a plumber would be out in the morning as would a cleanup crew to get the water out. I didn't know that by "morning" he meant 2am. After the guys pulled out the water at 2am when the issue happened around 7pm, plumbers showed up until around 1 pm the next day, it was a Sunday, so bless them. This is when we learned that the pipes leading away from our apartment had collapsed. (What about the pipes coming in? That was flood #2. A pipe going to the hot water heater upstairs exploded, raining gallons of water down on us all through the night,this one collapsed our ceiling but I digress..) So here I am on a Tuesday at noon, missing work, airing out my apartment because the mildew smell is almost unbearable. Plumbers were supposed to be here yesterday, now they're supposed to be here today.. Who knows? There is so much water and moisture in the 2nd bedroom that water is condensing on the window and rolling down like rain. Water squishes up over your toes as you walk through the room. The drywall is wet under the baseboards... Again, just don't pick here. Try another property somewhere else. I'm sure you can get a 2 bed/2 bath cheaper in a newer community.

The complex is very quiet ..which is why I chose to move here. There are the occasional maintenance issues that have to be address..but are fixed promptly. The office staff is very pleasant. Ive enjoyed my stay here.

The neighborhood is GREAT! Everything is within a 2-5 drive. Children are always playing outside, which makes me feel safe. Great for students, too! The university is only five exits away on I-65 South. My only disappointment is the fact that I keep getting pests (ants and cockroaches) and the fact that the fridge/oven/dishwasher are out dated. When I first moved in, it wasn't very clean either. You can hear your neighbors walk in and out of their apartments and noises of people talking if you're quiet. The office people are super friendly, but if the apartment was nicer I would have given it five stars.

Good area. Central to many essential places. Gated community. I've heard of some crime that happens here, but where doesn't it happen? The maintenance crew is great. So fast and nice. Pool and 24 hours fitness center. Not a fan of the roaches that I had but the office had an exterminator come out and it's been good since.

The Abbey at Lakeshore is a difficult place to live. I received a call from a very rude staff member accusing me of not paying my rent. I called back but as per the usual, no one answered so I left a voicemail with the reference number from my online payment. After a second call, the payment was finally acknowledged. Not a professional way to handle business!!!
