I have lived here over 2 years and I love living here. The community is great, and run by an awesome Team. I always feel safe, and I love the neighborhood. I truly think this building is perfect-great neighborhood, beautiful apartments for fair price! Best pool view in the city too. The only thing it’s missing is a dog washing/blow dry area - we have lots of pets in the building and it could be useful !!

My fav part of living here is the pool. The view is spectacular, the ambiance is nice at night with the lights and the water is maintained often.

I lived at this property for several years, and while the location was convenient and many staff members are super nice and very helpful, at the end my experience was disappointing. There were multiple shootings in and around the building, including at least one "assault with a deadly weapon" inside, which made me feel unsafe. The frequent smell of marijuana that seeped into the apartment was also concerning. The elevators were frequently out of service. The elevator leading to the recycling facility and the garage was constantly unavailable with no communication from the management despite the numerous requests from the tenants. There were several water outages that lasted for days with minimal communication from management. Additionally, I encountered unsanitary conditions, like vomit and dog urine left in the elevator, which wasn’t cleaned up in a timely manner. Another major issue was the third-party electricity billing system, which in addition to the service fee charged residents 50% more than the local utility rate approved by the utility commission. After moving out, I found that the management company tried to add questionable charges to my account.

Eliot on 4th is a good place to live, it has good amenities and great staff! The location is also a plus, just steps from a Safeway and the metro entrance.

Just moved in but so far everyone has been extremely helpful and made the process so easy. The application process was all online and I received emails helping me through every step. The virtual assistant was able to immediately answer the few questions I had.

So grateful to have found Eliot. Every team member I’ve met from the leasing office/concierge has been so kind, the amenities are abundant - working and OPEN (DC hot commodity in the summer being a pool), the apartments themselves feel like you’re coming home to a fancy hotel, & if you have a car parking is *slightly* more affordable than you’d see at surrounding complexes!

I have lived at the Eliot on 4th for just over 5 years and have never had a single complaint. From reception to leasing to back office and maintenance, they get the job done! Living there is easy! Nice, modern apartment living with many floor plans to choose from. The building is well-maintained and very quiet. In my 5 years there, I have never really had a single complaint. There obviously have been some typical maintenance issue that have been resolved quickly and professionally. The property management has been very helpful and considerate my entire 5 years. I would encourage anyone who wants to live in close proximity to the wharf and southwest DC to consider the Eliot on 4th.

I couldn't have been luckier enough to get it right with the first time living in the city by being at Eliot. It's been nothing short of an extremely positive experience the past few months I've been staying here! The building is clean and maintained very well, and comes with really useful amenities such as a gym, work space, ground floor lounge, a courtyard with grills, a rooftop pool, rooftop penthouse, and rooftop patio with grills. Packages are safely logged into the Amazon locker or tucked behind concierge. Sound isn't an issue, I rarely hear neighbors except for the occasional dog barks and inconsiderate resident upstairs who likes to jam out to rock at 1am... but like I said, it's occasional! What I really enjoy is all the cool events that the complex puts on! They keep it fun, they make it really fun to live here! I highly highly highly recommend you consider leasing at Eliot on 4th if you're looking to live in SW DC!

Life here has been great. I've lived here a year and enjoy it. The building is safe, clean, quiet, and close to grocery and metro. The walls are thick and I don't hear my neighbors.

My experience at Eliot On 4th has been phenomenal. Shout out to Adam who walked us through every step of the process and went above and beyond to make the decision to move in a perfect choice. I love the property (and the views), the neighborhood, and the apartment is awesome. So far I have enjoyed living at the Eliot. It is in a very convenient location. The staff is also very nice and extremely helpful. I have only lived here for a short time but so far no complaints.

If you read only one Eliot on 4th review, I promise you that this should be it. I took a gamble on moving to the Eliot on 4th, sight unseen (well, besides the online pics), as I had 5 days to relocate from Atlanta, and was looking for a large, modern apartment with lots of natural light, and hopefully situated less than 1 mile from the Capitol. I moved in August 2017, the first resident of my fourth floor apartment, which had stunning floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the Westminster Presbyterian Church. During my 5+ years living at The Eliot on 4th, I would give A+ grades to the maintenance staff, who fixed things quickly, at a rate that will be hard to duplicate again. The gym is wonderful, as is the rooftop, which features a nice pool experience and grills that work most of the year. I just wished that I had not witnessed so much crime, both inside, and directly outside the building. There were times, coming back from a dog walk and entering the back entrance, where I would meet up with police in the stairwell, asking me which floor I was going to, and after replying “fourth”, they told me to “run and go as fast as you can”. Later, I found out that there was a gun related homicide on the 5th floor that night. Domestic violence. They carried out a dead body through the front door of the Eliot earlier that night. I personally called 9-11 three times during my stay at The Eliot on 4th. From violent outbursts across the hall, to drugged out strangers passed out in our hallways, there was never a sense of safety living there. As a dog owner, living in that area was also problematic. There are drug deals going on daily, steps outside the front door. One block west at Duck Pond, drugs and prostitution deals happen on the regular. Seeing a condom on the ground on a Sunday morning walk was the norm, not the exception. And if that wasn’t enough, since 2021, all eastside facing apartments get a healthy dose of mid-rise construction noise, 6 days a week. The Northside will too, soon, as the church sold out years ago, and a new development will go up shortly. Finally, do not trust this sales staff at all. They are the worst. TLDR; - Eliot on 4th. Great views and natural light. Probably too pricey for what it is. You can do better elsewhere. Maintenance staff rocks. Construction noise all around it. Oh, and violent crime. Great gym.

Facilities are clean and kept up. Friendly staff with 24hr concierge. Location is great with access to Metro, Wharf and Navy Yards. If you have pets this is the place to be.

If you are looking for a great place to live in the Southwest DC/Wharf/Nats Ballpark area of DC, Eliot on 4th is a great choice. It is a relatively new building with contemporary features with a size that fits everyone. The staff at the Eliot on 4th from Leasing to the Concierge Desk to the folks in Maintenance and the Management Office, they always have a "can do" attitude and will attend to your every need. Check it out! You will not regret it!!

I love living at Eliot on 4th! The location could not be better and I'm so close to everything I want to do in DC - the Wharf, National Mall, grocery store and Metro at the end of the block. It's quiet and feels like a nice, residential neighborhood, but all the exciting DC sites are just around the corner (literally). The building is pristine and the staff that works here is wonderful. Seriously, I feel like the front desk staff are some of my best friends (shout out to Kia for being the best). Unfortunately I'm moving to another city next year for my job, but I couldn't ask for a better place to live in the meantime!

My experience at Eliot on 4th has been wonderful. The management has been very courteous and responsive. The neighborhood is amazing and the apartments are lovely.
This isnt the worst place Ive ever lived, but Im not going to recommend it to anyone I know. Its convenient to the wharf, metro and highways, but I think there are better options without the headache that comes from the management team.
Great location and lovely people! The leasing specialist Will is really sweet and always takes a wonderful care of the residents, both during the time you tour the apartments and after you choose to call this place a home (and be there forever). Management staff are very fun and they throw a really cute annual holiday party and resident events, and it’s really great that they are on site to help you with everything. Maintenance staff are also on top of things; they are very responsive and fast to take care of any minor things you want to be adjusted for you to live comfortably in your apartment. All the staff are very friendly, location is fantastic, beautiful building- this is definitely a place you will enjoy living :)

When I was looking for a new place to live in DC I visited a lot of buildings. I receive some of the best service from Eliot on 4th. I worked with William, he was understanding, knowledge, helpful, and more then helpful in answering any questions I had. The management staff was also great. The building has amazing amenities, and is in an awesome location. It is only blocks from the wharf, 5-10min walk max, easy access to the metro and the highway. I would recommend this building to anyone who is looking to move in dc.

There were many aspects of Eliot that helped make my choice to rent here; the amenities, the view, the closet space, and I could go on. However, since moving into the building it’s not just the space that I’ve loved but the people. The residents are great and some are now good friends, but the staff is just as fabulous. Two in particular are the leasing agents, Ndidi and Will. These two are hardworking, kind, and always go above and beyond for the residents and future residents of the Eliot.

We have enjoyed living here for almost 3 years now. The apartment is very solid and the leasing team (Ndidi), Management (Carrie) and Concierge (Ms. Jeanette) make it even better!
I rent a townhouse at Eliot on 4th and for the price the unit is absolutely perfect. I enjoy the proximity to Navy Yard and the Wharf, with several high end and fast food restaurants available. Having a Safeway and a metro across the street is also a plus. As far the building goes, amenities are very nice. The gym is on the smaller side, but the living spaces, and the rooftop are immaculate. Management just went through a transition and it seems like it is definitely improving. The needs of residents are now more of a priority and I look forward to continuing to live here!

This building is overall great. Leasing team, especially Will, is the best. Front desk staff is 50/50. Management leaves a lot to be desired. Maintenance is quick to respond. Amenities, when they are working, are great.
