Property Ratings at Ellevate St. Ives
I’ve been her almost A month now, and this place is rat infested and it’s supposed to be newly renovated.. the rent is rediculous.. it’s not worth the money at all.I’ve had to many issues since I’ve been here.
I have lived in this apartment complex for over eight years, under three different management, companies, and here in June, 2023 it is by far the worst it has ever been. Management is no help resolving any issues.Loud, dirty and sketchy. You will be happier elsewhere.
I lived here for multiple years due and I am still traumatized. It was during Covid and a few years after and I just couldn’t afford to move. I was stuck. Mold everywhere. Window seal rotting out. Multiple months no AC. My unit would flood and ruin my things constantly.
In September I began the application process, and even paid the fee to reserve the apartment ($125), but decided to go with another complex. Informed Arium of this on 9/6, was told my application was canceled as of 9/7. Never heard anything else.... Fast forward to December, I'm checking my credit report to find this AMAZING company has apparently placed me in collections over $125, (the apparent remaining balance to "process my application" which I withdrew/was told was canceled). So, never lived here, NEVER will live at ANY property owned by these people, so I can't speak on that, but the shady business practices? Definitely avoid these people
The apartments haven't been renovated in years (these are old property pictures) and the property owners are in no rush to keep the units in working order. It took 2 months of harassing the property managers for maintenance to come do anything about the 3 leaks, missing baseboard, out of order AC (in the middle of a heatwave), malfunctioning door lock, or the unsealed front door. Even still after 5 months, our AC is not fixed and there is yet another leak in our unit. This property is NOT worth your money.
Constant leaks and water damage; black mold growing in living room; 4 managers and office staff in less than 2 years; parking sucks!!! Maintenance repairs are a joke. Any concerns you have will be blamed on past management. They don't take money orders. You may see a great apartment with the model, but it is truly a joke here. I'm not alone. If you're looking come out and take a look at the apartments people actually live in. You'd be disgusted!!!!!!!
They can through a lot of management changes, at least 4 in a year. Poor record keeping, unprofessional, don't complete repairs, definitely not luxury apartments as their sign says. They really don't care about residents and blame everything on past mangement.
This complex is a total joke, and a scam, to say the least. My unit flooded in May due to another unit flooding. I hadn't noticed the flood until the maintenance guy came knocking on my door. He pointed out the flood and left, and never came back. I was left to clean the flooded kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and dining room, as well as my carpet which was soaked. I sent an email with pictures to their office asking for some kind of compensation, or a different apartment due to the possibility of mold growth, and nothing happened. I never even received a reply. Fast forward to the beginning of July. I noticed some Black, orange and green spots on one of my HVAC vents. I took pictures and notified the office staff and was told that maintenance staff would be out that monday to fix the issue. That Wednesday, after no one has shown up, i got in contact with the property manager and it has been a vicious cycle of getting frustrated and then getting nowhere with the incredibly rude staff. Fast forward to the present. I am now staying in a hotel because my apartment is unlivable. I have been treated at medical centers because of the health hazards that this apartment poses, and I have submitted a request (per managment's request) for a lease termination and a refund of my deposit and half of July's rent, since I have been unable to stay in the apartment. To no surprise, i have received no reply and no compensation. Do yourself a favor and don't rent here. Spend the extra money and get a place that has the staff that cares, and the upkeeping apartments need.
I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. I ignored other residents when I moved in when told to get out because it's BEAUTIFUL at first but NOW? I can't wait until my lease is up... no more water leaking ALL OVER the unit or heating AND air always going out. It's been SIX months and I honestly can't believe what I've been through being here. Or try your chances and move in... I just want you to know I'm currently sitting in my car because my home is unbelievably hot.

Do not rent from this community. They are a scam. We were told we could sign a 12 month lease but get out at anytime, if we paid for 60 days in advance and gave a 60 day notice. We had the apartment for about 5 months, because we were trying to transition from Ohio to SC. We only lived in the apartment for maybe three weeks due to things not going as planned with the transition. We did everything we were told to do and were sent to collections for $3500.00 due to unpaid rent and charged with $800 in damages and put on our credit report that we were evicted, which was not true. I have been trying to contact the community for 2 weeks and no one will call back. A bad place to live and do business with their actions.
I absolute hate my apartment complex, they have the rudest nastiest workers there. Not only that but the offic people seem to change frequently! As if they can't keep a good manager to control these smart mouthed workers.
My girlfriend and I live in an 1 bedroom 1 bath, it is an older apartment and there's many things wrong with it... When we first moved in, a wall was rotting and we didn't know it. But a blue tarp was outside the window for the longest time. They finally got people to come tear it down and somewhat fix it up, we've lived here for 5 months now. Still hasn't been completely fixed and they know. There are roaches everyday it seems. The person that lived in here before us was a smoker and smoked inside and it's stained things. The disposal didn't work when we moved in and other things began to get noticed as we started getting more comfortable with our surroundings.. We have terrible neighbors, on one side, they beat on the walls late at night and have no consideration for others, on another side, an older gentleman spys on my girlfriend and I, and our pup. People under us are quiet and don't talk much, and the people beside them never pick up their dogs waste and are rude.. We are trying to get adjusted to the real world and make our ways, we don't have a car so we take the bus right now... Free rent would just be amazing and a blessing!!!
This is not a bad place to live it's close to shopping and resturants
Apartment is outdated. Price is reasonable for space. Needs a lot of cosmetic work done to make it more appealing. Would also like to have doors and windows that actually open and close.
