Ellicott Grove

The price is NOT worth the material of building and new management (AMC) acts like you’re intruding. They’re requiring cashiers checks without online payment or itemized billing. This community is on the downhill. Would not recommend unless the price is drastically reduced and you can put up with extremely thin creaky floors that make it sound like your upstairs neighbors are bending the floorboards every time they walk.

Ellicott Grove has been very helpful and professional with completing my apartment application and the apartment was move in ready when I toured. The neighborhood is also very friendly.

Let me start by saying... I’m not disgruntled, just a tenant that should’ve made a better decision when looking for an apartment home. These apartments are very nice ON THE OUTSIDE, but that’s where it stops. They charge for reserved parking, but don’t enforcing parking. What a joke. You pay $35 a month and hope and pray you get your spot. It really is a gamble. And because the leasing office does NOTHING about it, you’re forced to be parking police until you get tired of playing the game. The walls are extremely thin. If you’re ok with hearing your neighbors conversations, hearing them shower and use the restroom then this place is for you. I can’t wait to move out!! Lease is up in 8 mos.

I lived here for a year and I couldn't wait to move out soon enough. The apartment seemed nice until we had an ongoing mouse problem and there's no good way to fix it. Management is not responsive. My car was towed and guest parking is ridiculous because you are constantly worried the building will have their car towed too (also odd because there's more than enough parking so the towing is clearly just for extra money). The only good thing about the apartment is the modern look of the apt and the location. Management is also slow to repairs... A tree hit a few apartments and 6 months later still not fixed. There was a dead tree literally close to falling over and it took at least 5 months to hire a company to remove it. Branches were falling on peoples cars and causing damage.

I was a tenant here for 12 years and once Greystar purchased the property about 2 years ago, it has gone downhill. Its a dump, there are apts. that flood, bugs, no response from the front office UNLESS you walk in. I don t know why they have a phone or answering machine. The grounds are not kept up at all the way they used to. Dog crap everywhere. I moved out in Sept and they shorted me $200 on my security deposit and I immediately scanned the documentation stating I paid $500 and for 4 months I have heard "they are working on it"! There are other communities in the area that are much nicer.

The ladies in the leasing office are great. They are respectful, courtesy and professional when it comes to residential concerns and potential clients. They make sure minor concerns are dealt with before they become big issues. I appreciate their supportive attitude in making Ellicott Grove a nice place to live. I just renewed my lease in October but as much as I like being a resident. I will be moving closer to my family, when this lease is up. So kudos to the Ladies in Leasing.

This complex has gone downhill since new management took over. Communication is horrible. We have been repeatedly lied to or just not told things we specifically asked about. 10/10 would not recommend.

Ellicott Grove is amazing! Its a great place to live. All staff is great and the people who live there are very friendly!

The leasing and maintenance staff are awesome, no complaints there.

Ellicott Grove Apartments are wonderful, not only because of the beautifully maintained landscape, location, and nicely remodeled room, but also Crystal, the Community Manager, makes it all worth it to live here. She is definitely everyone's go-to person because she is professional and capable of solving just about any issues you bring her. I think the past reviews about this apartment reveal some issues with communication with either the management or maintenance, but so far my experiences with them have been always excellent.

With the exception of my rude neighbors, I love living here and I would recommend Ellicott Grove to my friends. The Management staff is Awesome! They try to resolve issues as they arise and I appreciate them.

I love the apartment and the location but persistant maintenance issues dampen my enthusiasm about spreading the word.

I have lived in many places around Howard county, and I can confidently say Ellicott Groove is the best period. The management and staff are extremely professional and helpful. The units are fully renovated and well maintained. If you are looking for a place to live peacefully, look no more !

Ellicott Grove is a quiet community within Ellicott City. It is adequately positioned for shopping and leisure with nods towards the Oella Community and other surrounding areas, surely incorporating any anticipative needs (supermarkets, dining-in, shopping) or whims that characteristically are enveloped within a 5 mile radius. The convenience is stellar, but the living experience is priceless!

Ellicott Grove is a great community. People are friendly. The grounds are beautiful. Staff is great. This is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in.

Ellicott Grove is a very nice place to live. I am extremely satisfied with my choice in moving here. I have been a resident since January 2020, and for the most part I am satisfied. The Management team is always pleasant and respectful. They do their best to get situations resolved where all parties are concerned. I have no complaints about the maintenance staff. They fix the problem that day or keep you abreast as to when they can. Yes, I am satisfied with my choice .

I was skeptical when I first moved in my apartment, because I hadn't seen it until my move in date. I had a couple of issues with one of my neighbors, but after addressing them with the leasing team. They were quickly dealt with. Speaking of the leasing team, they are always respectful, responsive and efficient. I like that. Yes, I would consider renewing my lease when the time comes.

The Management staff and Maintenance team are very accommodating and respectful. They go that extra mile to ensure that their residents are taken care of.

Ellicott Grove is a great place to live if you have a dog. Staff is professional and will help you with any needs. Patapsco Park is right next door and provides walks that are fantastic.

Nice quiet neighborhood but hot summers if you live on the top floor. Also be wary of your address, as people will get confused with the street names being so similar.

The maintenance service was amazing! Same day service for broken AC during COVID! Much appreciated! Would highly recommend the community. Very quiet, near lots of restaurants and shopping and a super nice leasing team!

Ellicott Grove is a wonderful place to live! Management and maintenance are top notch! The grounds crew is awesome and housekeeping is always making sure everything is clean and beautiful! Ellicott Grove is the perfect place if you want a place thats quiet, convenient and close to shopping centers, restaurants and grocery stores. Parking is never a problem, and so far, all my neighbors seem pretty nice.

Amazing team, simple leasing process and great apartment upgrades. I would recommend for sure!

The staff at Ellicott grove go above and beyond. Not only do they care about the community they care about their residents. They work extremely hard to make Ellicott Grove a great place to call home.

I enjoy living at Ellicott Grove as the entire team provides excellent customer service by responding to my needs as a renter. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times.

This is good appartment complex with high grade of people were every one leave like a community and family with people of sand and helpful people in the office whenever you need there services very helpful and diligent to their duties.

Cheap rental payment

If I could provide with no star, I would. At night this place is filled with crime. Wheels gets stolen, Cars gets keyed. When you try to do your due diligence and report crimes to the management office, not a thing is done about it. Also some houses are overcrowded with more than 8-10 men and each one has a car without parking tag. No cameras anywhere in the parking, no enough light poles in the parking area and no notice sent to residents saying a robbery occurred the previous night. The staff are useless. No matter how many times you email or try to follow up via phone or email, management completely ignores residents’ concerns and questions.

Great location, reasonable priced, with unexpected privacy

I have lived in Ellicott Grove for about 6 months now. I am so pleased with my decision to move here. The grounds are well kept. The community and employees are friendly. No complaints.

I have only lived at Ellicott Grove for a few months, but my experience has been very good. The apartment is quiet, comfortably designed, and convenient to my commute to Baltimore and Towson. I especially appreciate that this is a pet-friendly community and that each unit has its own balcony/patio, full-size washer & dryer, valet trash, minimal carpet, and granite countertops. Overall, my experience at Ellicott Grove has been very good.

Overall Ellicott Grove is well kept, and fairly quiet. Sometimes the walls may seem a bit thin.Also an upgrade to the foyer area would be great when leaving/entering the building.

Overall, I am happy with the new management. The outdoors are well maintained, beautiful swimming pool in a secluded area, lovely staff and lots of fun events that bring the community together.

I signed my lease 10 days ago and nothing bad has happened yet. People seem nice. Kids and pets are well-behaved. Staff is friendly. Apartments are clean.

I am going on my 8th year here...The response with the Greystar staff has been nothing but great. This management company was the best decision.

We have lived at Ellicott Grove for about a year now and just decided to renew our lease. The office staff is always friendly, maintenance issues are quickly resolved, and its a surprisingly quiet community. We love that they updated the fitness center and that it is accessible to residents at all times. The community also holds events and social gatherings on a regular basis which makes it a fun, family oriented environment.

The staff here is amazing. There were a few bumps in the road initially, but they handle everything promptly and with an amazing and positive attitude. Kendra, Asia and Jim, thank you so much for getting us settled. I have lived in this area for 5 years, and for the first time in along time I finally feel at home. My family and I are extremely happy!

The poor experience started at move-in. The turn over from the prior resident had been done poorly with light bulbs burnt out, drawers in the kitchen askew (broken not just crooked), handles loose on the oven, kitchen sink, closet door knobs, shower towel racks, shower head, broken blinds that had to be replaced. Within the first week or so we experienced sparking in the microwave. Though they sent someone to fix it, the problem continued. During our one year there, the clothes dryer broke. It took nearly a week and my follow up for it to be replaced and when they took it out of our apartment, they took our clothes inside, though they were later returned. Not a week later, the new dryer wouldn't shut off and ran for over 7 hours overnight. Again, someone came to fix it. Next day, it sparked and filled the apartment with smoke. Took several days for someone to come address this, as far as I'm concerned, very serious and dangerous problem. Light switches would spark when you flipped them. We had trouble with bugs, though to some extent to be expected as we were on the ground floor. They replaced the kitchen and bathroom counters to upgrade them. The finished product was nice. However, we were given less than a day's notice that we would need to pack up everything under the counters and were told it would be a one-day job. After that one day we had a mirror that hadn't been replaced, back splashes that weren't finished and they had forgotten to replace the faucet in one of the bathrooms. Received our security deposit return where it appeared we had been charged a late payment fee. I had misread the statement but it took two weeks for someone to respond to my inquiry. Was hopeful when the new management company took over but it's clearly not the corporation but the people on the ground.
