Murrayville is a suburban town spanning west of Interstate 40 less than 10 miles east of the North Carolina coast and 10 miles north Downtown Wilmington. The northern section of town is made up of lush, wooded land, while the southern region consists of peaceful residential areas with a variety of modern apartments and a few single-family homes available for rent. Outdoor recreation in town is provided by picturesque community parks like Smith Creek Park, or residents can travel a few minutes east to the Atlantic Coast beaches. Market Street (Highway 17) provides chain eateries and big-box stores while Downtown Wilmington holds the quieter locally owned boutiques and restaurants. More convenient amenities outside of town include the Wilmington International Airport and the large plazas off the Highway 17 and Highway 117 intersection.

Property Ratings at Ellington Farms
I stayed at Ellington farms while on a travel assignment at Novant. I truly enjoyed my stay. It was a nice home away from home. Mike property manager is wonderful and so nice! The maintenance man is very friendly as well and always willing to lend a helping hand. I also enjoyed the amenities the pool is clean, grills are clean and modern. Fire pit area is a nice little perk as well! No complaints during these past 4 months. Until next time Wilmington ??.
living here for 5 years should tell you how much i love living here. we have the best property mgr., mike is the best of the best. we also had a great maintenance tech for several years, but he just moved to be closer to his family. mike, the mgr., found a replacement the next day and the transition of having a new maintenance tech was seamless. please, take a look at ellington farms apartments, you can thank me later.

Mike the property manager is amazing and was very helpful in our transitioning .. Mike goes above and beyond for his residents ... Doug the maintenance guy is very attentive to residents needs if they need anything fixed .. Moved in July 2020 and plan on calling Ellington Farms our home

Sharon the property manager has a attitude her direct supervisor Nicole for Syncho Properties is in full support of this as I have complained but nothing was done. I asked for Nicole’s supervisors number she refused to give it to me and hung up. The property manager also gossips about residents to other residents. The pools and grills are rarely clean and the bathrooms are covered in dead bugs and caked on dirt. They can’t keep a maintenance man due to Sharon demeaning them their words not mine. I had an ac break 4-5 times within 3 months. The property manager drives past junk there are pictures of the junk and her driving past it. The emergency maintenance number is pointless since we called Saturday and received no response till Monday morning. Lots of bare spots in grass trees are uprooting lots of dog poop

We're truly sorry to see that anything about our community has missed the mark. We assure you that we do try to deal with any issues as quickly as we can, and we care very deeply about the comfort of our residents. Unfortunately, the pool pump broke down over Memorial Day Weekend, which is out of our control, but the issue was repaired and the pool re-opened within two or three days. After the hurricane, the pool wasn't a priority as there were more important issues in need of repair. The interiors of the apartments were our highest priority at the time, especially as it wasn't pool season and the pool wasn't meant to be open during those months anyway. We'd be happy to talk to you about any of this more in-depth and clarify anything you might be confused about, so please reach out to us at the leasing office.
Would advise not to rent here. The pool and bathrooms are never clean- nor the grills. The pool was usually locked— when you went to office the usual answer was “filters must not be working”. The pool was not cleaned up after Hurricane Florence until January when Sharon had a Super Bowl gathering. This past Memorial Day the pool was closed for days— it was green with mold growing. They have gone through at least 4 maintenance men within 15 months. Sharon is rude to residents as well as the maintenance men.
This place has gone completely downhill since Sharon took over as property manager. She is petty and completely unwilling to do her job. Instead of fixing issues she says things like, “That’s not my problem.” “I don’t live here, I’m not doing it, you do it.” There are other places at the same price point, in the same area where you don’t deal with her. Don’t move here. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There is nothing she can do to change my mind at this point.
I love my apartment but the manager here needs to be replaced. The quality of everything from the counters to the closets are great but having someone with an attitude 24/7 doesn’t make me feel appreciated or cared for.. she needs to go!
I currently have lived here since March, after the company change over. The inside of these apartments are nice. The amenities are sub-par and usually out of service. The dog park has tarp sticking up everywhere, poop all over, bent fences that will let out a small dog. The pool is not salt water; that has been contaminated by chlorine you can smell from the sidewalk 30ft away. The most important reason for 1 star is solely the office manager, Sharon. If you desire to live in high school, you have come to the right place. Maintenance requests (emergencies) take on average 3 days. And to get that kind of service, you are going to have to argue with her. And your reward? She will discuss you with other residents, slander you, and share your personal communications. I have had her talk about other residents, who I didn't even know or bring up, for over forty minutes. Come in the office and enjoy the snacks, and you are sure to be the next person discussed for 'eating too many.' When you bring up a concern like a howling, barking dog for 6 hours straight, the response is, and I quote, "What do you want me to do?" Washing machine broke? Her response, "It's an amenity." Not an apartment feature. The first day I moved in, I gave her three things that needed to be fixed in the apartment. When I cam back three days later, she had never even given the maintenance guy the paper. It was still sitting on the desk, also where anyone could read it. This property also claims to participate in PooPrints. It does NOT. Residents repeatedly ask for this program, only for nothing to be done. Watch your step, there's poop there! The pettiness and laziness of the office far outweigh the decent apartments.
