Downtown Tacoma is hilly, with fantastic views of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier. It is very walkable (if you don’t mind the hills), and it is filled with fun and interesting things to do, from museums and theaters to festivals and events.
Downtown Tacoma is the location of the Museum District, home to the Tacoma Art Museum, the Museum of Glass, the Washington State History Museum, and the Children's Museum of Tacoma. Property Ratings at Ellis Apartments
I lived there for about a year and every day out of that apartment is like a breath of fresh air. I’ve had multiple neighbors had multiple car break ins (including myself), and the apartment was semi-recently flooded. The amenities are poor. Management is passive aggressive and WILL text you, not email! Look elsewhere!
Wanted to share my experience for any prospective renters at The Ellis. I had a 'bait and switch' experience where I was shown an empty unit twice. I paid the application fee, was approved right away and then didn't hear from the leasing contact for two days when she mentioned the unit was renewed by a prior tenant. This was disappointing and felt disingenuous and unprofessional. I wouldn't have applied if I knew the unit wasn't available. As you look at units, please be sure there isn't a bait and switch situation happening.
It’s refreshing when you have a responsive and active office to address concerns. I moved in this month and so far everything has been smooth, easy, and transparent.
