Elmwood Gardens

Living at Elmwood Gardens was such a great experience. It is so close to downtown and you have the absolute best Super in all of Morristown - Zack is truly one of the kindest people I have ever known. He fixed every work order that we placed within 24-48 hours. As someone who knew absolutely nothing about home care and maintenance, he felt like such a great safety net when anything was broken, and I am just truly so glad to have met him.

I've lived in Elmwood Gardens for six years and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. First of all, the location is INCREDIBLE- walking distance to everything in downtown Morristown but also on the 'quieter' side of town. Everyone that visited raved about my Elm Street location. The apartment building landlord is extremely personable and if I had any issues with my apartment they were always resolved within a reasonable amount of time. Any building work was always communicated to us via email. I always felt safe here. My experience here was incredible, I will miss living here tremendously and highly recommend Elmwood Gardens if you are looking for a downtown apartment!

I could not be more thrilled with my experience living at Elmwood Gardens the last 4+ years. The building is located on a beautiful residential street that is accessible to all of the popular restaurants, shops, bars, train, and other attractions in Morristown. The management team has always been exceptionally responsive and accommodating and keeps the apartment well-maintained. The on-site property manager Zack's sunny personality and dedication to providing outstanding service will be missed. Morristown has been a memorable chapter, and Elmwood Gardens significantly contributed to my positive experience in this town.

I lived at Elmwood Gardens Apartments for 3 years and it was a phenomenal experience. Zak the landlord is awesome and will get to any issues you have as soon as they come up. The apartment complex is always clean and the location in Morristown is awesome. I would highly recommend staying at Elmwood Gardens or any property tun by De Mattheis Investments.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Overall a very pleasant place and amazing management. By far the best street in morristown to be on since it’s walkable to all restaurants, bars,etc. but you dont have to deal with the craziness of the green. A very lovely place, i would definitely recommend!

My experience with elmwood gardens was amazing! Very clean and well kept building. Management was always super responsive and prompt. This location could not get any better, a few minute walk and you are in the heart of the town. I have nothing but good things to say about my time here. Would definitely recommend renting an apartment here to anyone!

I lived in Elmwood Gardens for about 3 years and had a fantastic time in this apartment. Utilities and on site parking were included minus electric was a huge advantage. It also goes without saying that living within a minute walk to south street and downtown Morristown was a huge perk and draw to live in Elmwood Gardens. Zach was the manager/ handyman and was extremely helpful if you got locked out or had any issues he would respond ASAP since he lived in the building. We will be sad to move but look back on our time in this building as a highlight of our apartment days. I would recommend this building to friends and family who are commuters(walking distance to NJ transit Morristown train station) and interested in the vibrant downtown nightlife and dining of Morristown.

We rented over the course of quarantine (April 20-21). Apartment appliances present are sufficient, but that is the only positive of living here. Apartment management was not accommodating of any real-life situation, more specifically financial concerns that arose during quarantine with job loss. Deceptive lease practices impacted agreed upon lease term and corresponding financial payments not disclosed on the onset. Management does less than the bare minimum in assisting to solve problems tenants are faced with utilities and building itself, such as plumbing issues, electric outages, running water, building key access issues. Laundry contains 2-3 machines that only eat quarters and have not been fixed. Offers only (1) parking spot per apartment and offers no alternatives to supplementary parking. I was left off of parking lot communication emails until the final (3) months of original lease term. Overall, my worst living experience and left after (1) year. Would not recommend renting as there are cheaper & more accommodating options that look out for people during quarantine in Morristown.

I lived at Elmwood Gardens for around 7 years. The location is truly fantastic and you can walk to everything that downtown Morristown has to offer. The complex is very clean and well maintained. The super is also very nice and will remember your by name. He is always around in case there are any maintenance issues. It was the perfect apartment in downtown Morristown for a young professional!

I lived at Elmwood Gardens for almost two years, until I had to move for a new job. The apartment complex was very well-maintained. The apartment manager Zack lives on-site and was quick to respond. The assigned parking ensured I would have guaranteed parking for my car while living a literal half block from the Morristown downtown. There was free parking for my friends and family to visit at the town hall a quarter block down the street. I was walking distance to King's Market, Cambridge Wines (awesome local liquor store), Saigon Subs & Cafe (best local eatery, in my opinion), the library, the performing arts center, and Morristown hospital. Running routes abounded - Loantaka Brook Reservation and endless quiet and beautiful residential neighborhoods were nearby. Being a half block walk from the NJ Transit Morristown stop made commuting or heading to the city by public transit an actually-viable option. I felt completely safe there at all hours as a single female, as the parking lot was fully lit at night and there were security cameras on-site. I appreciate the management of this apartment complex and valued their professionalism. I will note that since the building was built in the 1960s, you may hear your upstairs neighbors squeak on the floor as they walk. This depends on what unit you're in and is luck of the draw. I paid rent by a monthly mail-in personal check. The gas oven and stove worked without fail, and gas was included in my rent. The only thing I had to pay beyond my monthly rent was electricity. The full-sized fridge and dishwasher made cooking fun. The shower water pressure was high and consistent and got hot super quickly. I had two closets in my studio and had more storage space than I knew what to do with. With location and amenities included in mind, I felt like I was getting what I paid for. Living at Elmwood Gardens made my time in Morristown safe, comfortable, and excellent.
