Property Ratings at Elmwood Towers
I have been hear for 3 years now and I am very happy here. It’s quiet and clean and I haven’t had one problem so far. It’s a great place to live and in very satisfied.
I've recently moved in and can say I'm quite satisfied with Elmwood Towers. Everyone in the building has been very nice and welcoming. Vance and Casey have been more than accommodating and keep the building very well maintained. The area is nice and there are many convenient places to eat. Two thumbs way up in my book. -Kal
I JUST LOVE LIVING HERE! I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 5 YEARS NOW AND I WILL NEVER MOVE! THE PLACE IS SO WELL GROOMED BY VANCE AND CASEY WHO ARE HUSBAND AND WIFE AND MANAGE THE BUILDING SO WELL! ITHEY TRULY MAKE IT FEEL LIKE HOME WITH THEIR SPECIAL ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THEIR DOWN TO EARTH PERSONALITIES! THEY GIVE ME GIFTS IN ALL FORMS...THEY ARE THE GREATEST! BEAUTIFUL AREA TO LIVE IN AS WELL...I LOVE ELMWOOD PARK!
I've been renting a studio unit for a year now. The landlords (husband and wife) are incredibly friendly and generous with their time and effort. They live in the building and they keep it incredibly clean and well managed. They are constantly updating the building and painting it to keep it modern and up-to-date. The landlords are always communicating with the tenants and make it feel like home. I have no complaints! I would highly recommend living here!
Let's see how I feel about Elmwood Towers I love the fact that I have parking I love the fact that it's nice and quiet I love the fact that it's the security building the people here are very nice and I could not give it a higher I could give it a higher score if I had the opportunity
My name is, Ann. I've been living at Elmwood Towers for about 8 years now. I'm really happy to live in the area because everything I need is close by for walking distance. The management at Elmwood Towers is very helpful and responsive to the tenants needs. They're always available when you need help with things and they're very understanding if you have an illness or a special need. Management works hard to keep the grounds well kept. They're always on the property making sure it is well kept. I really enjoy living here because I feel safe and I like my apartment.
The halls have been renovated with welcoming colors on the walls and new carpet. The building smells fresh and great lighting in the stairwells. The building managers are helpfull and always accomidating. We have been here for 3 years and each year there has been upgrades made. The front of the building has a kept lawn and lovely flower araingments all year round.
I've been renting a studio unit at this place for a month now. There is not much to complain. The building is kept cleaned and well managed by very nice and friendly husband and wife who also reside in the same building. Neighborhood is relatively safe with well lit streets and few surveillance cameras within/around the building. Only downsides I can point out are central heating that isn't self adjustable and no guest parking. However, when it gets too hot in the unit, I can easily reach out the manager to turn the heat down who response to those kind of requests pretty quickly (but have to allow decent amount time for temperature to decrease since heat system running w/in the building is water pipes going underneath every floor I figured). So far, I'm pretty satisfied living here.
Pros Parking within as well as on the street. Updated good looking modern lobby and intercom. Comcast. Decent storage. Pay online. $2.50 fee. Cons All floors above the lobby are worn and dated litteraly back to the 1960's. The worn carpeting are mildewed and stained. The laundry is limited to 1 set per floor costing $3.00 per load and is quite unkept with dirt all about. The elevators work good but are filthy /scratched/ also needing of an cosmetic update. The stairwells are filthy in need of fresh paint. Most appliances as well as the cabinets and countertops are strickly from the 60's,70's. Bottom line ....... The building can look and appear above average with minor updates,(i.e.), new carpet, or better yet, tiled like the Lobby to eliminate staines/odors. Paint the upper floors to match the lobby. Scrub the elevators metal threshold thats full of gunk and hang protective wall cloth type coverings using the upper pins as many high end rental places do. Place security cameras (even dummy ones) to prevent abuse and damage to walls by unscrupulous tenants. Invest in better quality cabinets and countertops. These type of upgrades are all quite cheap, effective and inexpensive if management is smart about costs. I have a 1 yr lease and will be investing in a better updated apartments should nothing change here in the spring. I hope this break down review helps.
I am renting for the first time in sixty years. I could not be happier. The resident manager explained the details of the apartment and building when I toured, and living here is exactly as she described. It is my sincere hope I will be here for many years to come. Perfect for students, new families, elderly and disabled.
