Lafayette is located in southern Louisiana. It has the rich culture you would expect from a Louisiana town. Also, because it is a college town, it is very much concerned with education. People of all ages, cultures, and personality types will find that Lafayette is a pleasant place to live.
Lafayette has many beautiful neighborhoods. Different people like different areas of the city for their own reasons. However, the south side of the city is typically the most sought after. The area surrounding the University of Louisiana – Lafayette is known as the university area. This area, as well as Lafayette’s Downtown District, is more urban in nature than other parts of Lafayette. It is possible to walk to the school, local restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Broadmore is mostly residential and home to people of many different ages. This is also where the Thomas Park Recreation Center is located. Broussard, Youngsville, and Scott are small cities on the outskirts of Lafayette.

Property Ratings at Elora Place
They once took a week in the dead of summer to fix our a/c. They take forever to complete requests. The unit itself isn’t bad but the services take forever. We had to get a gym membership because the on site “fitness center” that’s supposed to be open has been closed. Constantly worried that our balcony isn’t structurally sound. Moving in, the unit was gross. I had to clean up mold and other people’s hair out of so many cracks and crevices and spend my own time and money deep cleaning the washer, dishwasher, and other things. Smells like weed occasionally too. They don’t do anything about package thrives despite having cameras. Still mostly mad about the A/C because it was 85 the other day and they didn’t fix it despite me submitting the results, calling, telling them in person, and everything. It’s not worth how much we pay in rent.

Hi there. Due to the anonymity of this review, we are unable to identify you as a resident. Please stop by our office so we properly can address these claims in the most efficient way possible. Thank you and we hope to hear from you promptly.
So unprofessional and they don’t care about you. They put stuff off for months. And if u have issues in your apartment best believe it won’t get done..for maintenance they ignore your request for months. I wish I never came here yeah it’s decent in the inside but all around is trashy and the buildings need to pressure washed they could do better for all the money they get out of ppl.. smh … LAZYYYY

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We take all comments seriously and will work towards improving our services.
Elora place apartments on the inside look great. Especially the renovated units. Used to be a great place to live about 5 years ago, but when new management took over, things went down hill quickly. There are certainly worse places to live in the area, but if you need something for a decent price or just need a place to live and this is the only place with availability, you can make it work. Just be prepared. Trash is a MAJOR issue at the complex. To make it worse they discontinued the valet trash service and decided to put in a few small roll away dumpsters BUT still charge residents the same fee for trash as if they were getting valet trash service. It’s about $26+ a month for trash! Also if you have a maintenance request, good luck getting it fixed. Maintenance staff are in and out of there like a revolving door. Took almost 5 weeks to get my dryer fixed and when they “fixed” it, they made the damage worse and ended up breaking again the very next time I went to use it. keep paper trails on ALL communication you have with office staff. They like to argue or play dumb, in their eyes it seemed the customer was never right.I know when I first moved in the company was having a hard time paying their bills on time and often just didn’t pay them (a previous manager told me so right before she left and said that’s why they never fixed the hub central in my apartment because the apartment place didn’t pay their bill to the hub central company. This made my apartment NOT a smart unit. Make sure if this happens, don’t let office staff charge you for a smart unit when you don’t have one). Lastly, be careful in the community. Certain areas (especially by the back pond) are prone to major flooding. Also just make sure you are being smart, there are wonderful people who live in the community and some that aren’t the greatest. I knew of some drug busts that didn’t happen in the community and know of one confirmed shooting, so be smart and be safe at ALL times.
I absolutely love my apartment! It’s newly renovated, modern, has beautiful colors, floors and amenities. The amenities on property are also very nice, especially the pool with the waterfall. Any time I need assistance, management is nice, friendly and eager to help! If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful apartment that looks brand new, I highly recommend Elora Place.

Thank you for taking the time to share everything you love about calling our community home, and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can assist you with. Your happiness is so important to us!
Do NOT choose this apartment complex as your future home. If you have any service request it takes about a month if not longer on average to be taken care of. I was told in October when I moved in my keypad on my door would be replaced and it is not Jan and they said it will still be a while. My microwave stopped working 2 weeks ago and they told me it is not an emergency so it will take a while to be fixed. My blinds were broken when I moved in and they were just fixed 3 months later. There is ALWAYS trash everywhere around the dumpsters. This place is just so unprofessional and disgusting DO NOT MOVE HERE.

Providing great service is a top priority for us and we strive to resolve maintenance requests as promptly and thoroughly as possible. We encourage you to reach out to us directly so that we can address your concerns and work towards solutions.
Office members do not care at all. Period. They will lie to your face, put tasks off for months and my “corporate” unit had 60% of this undone, or broken. Dirty shower curtain left in the bathroom, no WiFi for a week. back door broken TWICE just to name a few things. Please do not live here. PLEASE!! I wish there was a place to upload pictures of how horrible this place is.
Management back in 2018 was so considerate, caring, and attentive. Now it is the total opposite. Current management masks their inattentiveness with weekend events, giveaways, and social media presence. At surface level, it seems appealing, but don't be fooled.
The management is inconsiderate, uncaring, and doesn't communicate. The grounds have steadily become less maintained.
Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in!! I’ve lived in apartments for 12 years and this is by far the worst!! Apartment was is extreme disrepair with multiple maintenance issues and was very dirty when I moved in. Maintenance staff take forever to get anything done! I’m talking months!! Office staff are not very helpful. The only good thing going for this place is that the apartments are spacious, but that’s it! I can’t wait until my lease is up so I can get out of here! Don’t move here!!!
The staff is amazing! Dylan is THE best! And maintenance is always very helpful.
The staff are great and very helpful! Beautiful place to live! I love it here!

The staff here is absolutely amazing! The residents are as well. This is a very clean apartment complex. There's no trouble here. It's also right in the heart of Lafayette so nothing is far away! I recommend this community to everyone I know looking for a new home.

Grand Pointe Apartments are excellent. It is in a quiet location near major needs such as grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants and the highway is easily accessible. The staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Neighbors are very nice people and are always outside. The pond in the center of the complex is actually stocked and catch and release fishing is allowed. Both pool areas are very well kept and are not too noisy. The apartments have very good natural lighting and are easily kept cool even during the summer. The interiors are very much up to date as far as appliances are concerned. Cabinets and countertops are of very good quality. Several other perks are in apartment alarm systems, a large walking track and exercise area, a very well maintained tennis court and assigned covered parking is available. Overall this is a 5 star complex and I plan on staying here until I either leave Lafayette or move into a house.

When looking for an apartment my boyfriend and I were definitely going on looks, space, and obviously price. When we found Grande Pointe we knew it was perfect. Our apartment looks straight at the lake and the fountain making it a nice place to relax when on the patio. The residents are all very friendly and you feel welcomed. The front office staff is outsta ding and a joy to deal with. The apartments depending on size and what you need are all very spacious, and modern looking making you feel like you are getting more than you are paying for. Fantastic location on top of that. Overall this apartment complex is one of the best!

I just recently moved here and the office staff and community is great!!! I have looked all throughout Lafayette for a place to live, and at Grand Pointe it really feels like home!! I bring my grandchildren to fish in their ponds and there salt water pools are always so clean! Heather and Amber were and are a fanatastic help!! They were so kind to work with me on anything I needed to help me feel more comfortable here!! I would recommend this community to everyone looking for a place they can call home. Thank you Grand Pointe Staff for all your love and consideration in my move.

Dear signangel, We are certainly glad that you choose Grand Pointe Apartments as your home. Our staff is always glad to help make our community more of a home for residents and potential residents. We are proud of our fully stocked pond and pool for bringing our residents and their family closer together. The pool seems to be a great place for residents to mingle as well. Our saltwater pools are a point of pride to the staff and the salt water actually helps us use less chemicals to clean; providing you with a cleaner, healthier swimming environment. You seem to be settling in well. Let us know if we can make your experience any grander. Sincerely, The Grand Pointe Staff
We moved in and were soon feeling cheated. Things were always broken and the office staff were unhelpful and clueless. In mid 2013, a new staff came in. We actually have enough maintenance people to take care of things. Anything broken (which has been rare since they fixed it up) is fixed quickly. They are friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. I actually feel like I am getting my money's worth.
