Property Ratings at Ember at Alamo Ranch
Ember Apartments are really nice. Vanessa, the Assistant Community Manager, was such a big help to my daughter and I when we were looking for an apartment. I look forward to doing lot of business with her for years to come.
Property Manager at Ember at Alamo Ranch, Responded To This Review
Vanessa works hard to provide exceptional service and will be delighted to hear that you and your daughter appreciated her help. Thank you for sharing your experience! We look forward to working with you for many years to come!
I normally don’t give reviews but I felt like I needed to give this place some credit ! We just moved down here about 2 going on 3 months . And so far we are so happy with these apartments. All the ladies in the office are nice and welcoming. We spoke directly with kristi , she made the process so easy considering we did everything via email since we were all the way in Chicago. She was great and very helpful, would keep us updated with everything. She made everything go smooth sailing. .. another thing , we wrote on that checklist sheet they give you when you first move in about a bedroom door not closing properly and they sent maintenance out to come fix it without us even having to request it which was awesome definitely a good first impression ! Ive noticed they always have someone picking up trash outside in the mornings and they had someone come power wash the halls.. they do a great job here maintaining the place clean. We love it here the area is perfect everything is so close by ! I can go on and on but so far I have nothing negative to say about this place! Thank you for making it a good experience for us !
I was living there for over a year and just moved out. During my entire time, I never once saw the property manager in the office. When I had maintenance issues it took weeks for them to fix it! I would submit a maintenance request multiple times and call the office but the staff never cared, they would just tell me that they were working it. You try going weeks with your dishwasher not working. They don’t care. When I would ask to speak to the manager I was always passed to the assistant manager only, because the actual property manager wouldn’t show up. Also, I needed my air filter changed, and asked for maintenance to do it, they told me I could do it myself.
Parking is horrible.not enough parking on the left side of the property. And people are storing cars here without moving or using them in a month it. It's ridiculous that management hasn't done anything about. A total of 3 cars that have not been moved in a month. They need to be towed. Two of the cars Honda accords don't have registration stickers and have expired paper plates. The white Nissan Armada has never been moved either, the sun shade has been sitting in the same spot for a month.all three cars parked in the same position. Is the parking lot a storage now or a sales car lot. No one ever comes to move them. All three look stolen.
You get what you pay for. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone for several major reasons. Location: Since they are located right on Culebra, the street noise is extremely loud. I live across the Bush’s parking lot and my friend lives across the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot and we can both clearly hear people ordering their food. Down the street is an emergency station so there are constantly sirens. Outside the gates is also a mechanic shop which has drag cars meet a few times a night and they race back and forth down the street. Grounds: This place is not children friendly since they have no place to run around. There are only a few patches of grass around the complex and they are extremely ungroomed. Dog owner are not responsible therefore the grass is littered with feces. The rest of the complex has rocks and the areas (patio side) behind each building is covered in feces as well. I wish I could upload photos as proof. I have been here for almost a year and they have only come to clean my building (the stairs/hallways/dog feces) once. There are no playgrounds and the pool has a strict guest limit so fun pool parties are out of the question. There is no clubhouse like most complexes and the gym only has about 6 machines, more than half being some form of cardio. Units: When we were given a tour of the property we were shown a brand new unit and were impressed by how nice they were. However, when we were signing our lease they offered us another unit that had been lived in. We thought the previous tenants were bad, but it turns out the apartments are cheaply made. There was huge scuff marks in our living room walls and when I tried to remove it with a baby wipe, the paint started to turn dark and chip away! Staff: We have also had plumbing problems with both the showers and the kitchen sink. Our sink was clogged for 4 days before someone was able to fix it. We had problems with our mail key not working. After 2 months of waiting they told me that they had ordering problems and that I was more than happy to get the key copied myself. The staff themselves are also extremely rude. They are unwelcoming and my neighbors and friends here have all had bad experiences with them. I understand I am not renting a 5-star place, but I still expect to be treated professionally. We are not bad tenants, we always pay on time and we never cause problems with them. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO MOVE TO THIS AREA, PAY AN EXTRA $50 AND MOVE TO ONE OF THE NICER PLACES!
I have lived here for about 6 months and really like it. The staff is super nice and so are my neighbors. I've seen some of the other reviews and have to say that during construction I noticed some of these problems but now the property is clean and pretty quiet for the most part. I did have a few pests in the beginning but haven't seen any in months. I have had a few work orders and they were taken care of next day. My kids and me love the pool, there's never a lot of people at it. Parking is full if you come in late at night but they have plenty of parking at the end of the property, management did make us aware of this before we leased here. Its an apartment complex people, its never going to be perfect so the best we can do is help keep it clean and report complaints to the office so they can take care of it. overall very happy to live here and will definitely be renewing my lease!
The office staff is really friendly, I won't deny that. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend signing a lease at this location until it ages some due to the amount of scorpions and spiders the complex has. I have had 8 encounters with a scorpion in my unit, one in my bed that actually stung me, since I moved here 6 months ago. The only thing they have suggested is to call pest control. I have had pest control come and they stated that I should only have my unit sprayed once a month because the chemical lasts 3-4 weeks as long as I do not wipe it off. The guy also mentioned that I will ALWAYS have this problem for multiple reasons 1. Since I am near the field 2. Scorpions multiply quickly and if there is one there are multiple. Upon this information, I spoke with one of the office representatives and explained the situation. She seemed unmoved and suggested that I keep calling for the pest control on Monday's. Indifferent to her response, I asked if I could move units since this is a continuous problem. Since I am still in my lease, I would have to pay $100 to switch units, reapply for a different unit (which the rent has increased) and pay my pet fee again. I understand that I would have to pay something; however, reapplying to the same complex which will cause an increase in rent and paying my pet fee again seems a bit much for something that I have not caused. To add that the staff has yet to take care of the aggressive breed dog on the premises. Also, parking is terrible here if you work a later shift.

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your home here at Meadow creek apartments. We want to do everything we can to address your needs and complaints. Since we are a brand new property we do have more pest activity than normal. This will get better over time. Hopefully now that we have sealed the holes and cracks in your apartment and are having the outside treated you will not see anymore in your apartment. The transfer policy is the same for everyone , which is what you stated above, and the only units we had available were in the same building by the field. If the problem doesn't get resolved and we have another unit available we will move you. As for the Rottweiler on property they are not on our aggressive breed list and we have had no complaints on this animal. Please let us know if you have anything else. We do care about your issues and want you to be happy where you live.
Neighbors are loud and rude. Aggressive breed dogs are around. Let management know about the Rott, nothing was done. There are scorpions, spiders and other unusual bugs infested in the apartments. I wouldn't sign an agreement with this location until it becomes older since there is nothing to be done with the pests since they provide pest control. Two different pest control guys even told me that scorpions multiply quickly and they will remain in my unit and to watch out before putting on my shoes. The management offered a transfer of apartments with a fee and increase in rent since I'm still in a lease. Or I could always wait until lease is over and pay no transfer fee.
I wish i could give it a big fat ZERO. This apartment complex is just trashy and horrible. The noise for one is so bad. My neighbors below and above me are so disrespectful. Its like they are running around in their apartment, stomping there feet on the ground. I have children and they can't sleep at night. Ive tried expressing my concerns and issue with the office, but they seem to not care. The pool is so filthy and disgusting. I feel like my kids can't even enjoy it. Maintenance is always behind and they never fix the problem. I wish i can move to another unit. I feel like i am not at home and regret moving here. The apartments before here, I've stayed in them for 4 years. Ive never had the problems I am having here. The parking is horrible, and the gates are always broken. The office tries to hide their problems and they make excuses. Worst time of my life right now. Don't sign here. The complex is going to be run down!

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with meadow Creek being your new home. We are a new construction property so are still experiencing some small issues on the units that have never been lived in. We do have wooden floors in the apartments so I understand there will be some sound issues with that. However please come talk to me (laurie-manager) so I can help you resolve these issues. My maintenance team was behind for a short while when we had a surge of move ins with little issues from construction but we have no work orders currently pending. We do have limited parking but have built lots of extra spaces on the side of the property. We are at 99% occupancy so people who come home late will have to park on side by dog park. unfortunately we cannot control people hitting the gates but we do have them repaired immediately. They have not been open in weeks. Again, Please stop by the office so we can make Meadow creek a better home for you.
We just moved in about 3 weeks ago. For an apartment that was "move in ready, asap" we had a lot of issues with it upon move in inspection, some of which had a negative effect on our work schedules and the repairs took a solid week to get completed. HOWEVER. Yesenia is awesome. So Friendly and helpful. Once the repairs were finally completed, it looked beautiful and we could finally relax. The apartment is very nice and the complex is kept up. My biggest complaint is how loud, obnoxious and oblivious our upstairs neighbor is. The floors in all levels are wood so be warned if you are sensitive to sound. My upstairs neighbor sounds like a stampede at all hours of the day with no regard to anyone living underneath them. Im already hoping to switch apartments (but stay in the same complex) and have only lived here 3 weeks. This not a reflection of the property or staff, just a warning for people who like silence or dislike loud neighbors. I would recommend this complex to anyone.
It's a GREAT location and price for me! Like all apartments there is going to be a compromise, it's you deciding what you can and cannot live with. I myself am a very understanding and laid back individual. No place is perfect and you must account for life. No serious complaints, maintenance could be a little quicker but what do you expect when you have one guy working both properties BUT the major things are taken care of such as emergencies expediently. The staff is WONDERFUL I think that they do an OUTSTANDING job ESPECAILLY the assistant manager Yesinia who has helped me in more ways than I can count she does a TERRIFIC job and should be credited! I LOVE it here! I hope/wish more people would write positive things :) but you know what they say most people only say something unless they want to complain. But I am here to say that this place is great and should be given the praise it deserves!
I recently came across these apartments when I was in the area. My boyfriend and I are apartment hunting and we are seriously considering these apartments! They look nice and are in a perfect location. We cannot wait to see the finishing product! :)
This is in a great location, I cant wait till they are available. I live down the street in 30 oaks and I am waiting to get out of this place to come here.
