This place is the worst starting with management changes all the time . I caught 3 mice in 3 days drug addicts getting high in the building. If you have a parking sticker never any parking in the back or front of the building. A lot of abandoned cars parked for months never towed. It's the worst. 1 ac unit in the window to cool the whole apartment that's a joke.. Bit if your 1 day late on rent the will put letters on your door. The halls ways are filthy yhey need to be painted.
If you hate rodents(rats and mice), having your orders stolen, having strangers smoking in front of your apartment, smelling apartment, in summary lack of peace of mind; don’t live here
They don’t do extensions on rent even if you pay half they will still give you late fees You can not transfer to a different apartment if you don’t like yours the transfer will only happen after your lease is up They say they drive on customer service no it’s a lie it’s all a lie And there more problems so turn around and don’t apply please don’t
I tried my hardest to get in contact with the listed number, but all three times I had called someone immediately hung up on me. I did not even have the chance to leave a voicemail: it was an immediate disconnect.
You shouldn't think about living here they have pest problems there are cockroaches mice I have the tests and they do nothing to fix it in the office they are very rude they never help you solve problems I moved from there 6 months ago but they have lied to me a lot in trouble I have dear to collect 3 months of rent seriously I do not recommend it for anything in the world they are very irresponsible
I kept a clean apartment and they had a roach problem. I would not blame the other tenants because I saw the roaches outside. My ceiling fan panel snapped off and flew out of my bedroom almost injuring me. The maintenance does try to stay on top of things. My neighbor passed away and they allowed her abandoned apartment with trash and food to sit for weeks causing there to be dead mice and flies in the hallway. They only handled once neighbors called the police due to the smell. Professional staff when moving in and once you’re a tenant they are unprofessional. Move at your own risk.

The staff here is amazing! Especially Kymberly. She was very helpful in answering my questions about the apartment complex and helping choose the best model for what I needed.
Very disappointed in this appartments , the maintenance in this apartments is horrible they don’t do their job and all they do is just chill and talk with each other they also chit chat with tenants and go inside their apartments while on the job , they only sweep the first floor and mop it so the people think they actually cleaned it, they do this everyday the only day they actually sweep the whole three floors are on Monday . Im very dissatisfied with the management and the employees they should worry about fixing the apartments , there are roaches , ants and bugs inside the apartments ,the walls are dirty and the windows have wholes in them , overall my experience living here has been horrible and will not recommend this apartments to NOONE !

I have lived in the now Cheverly Gardens Apartments for about 10 years. The staff and maintenance have been very kind and helpful. When I have any issues with my apartment they are timely to come or if not the same day the next day. The only issue is the noise and neighbors not respecting the other tenants in the building. They have been trying to keep the property clean and safe for to live there. Cheverly Gardens Apartments is convenient to public transportation and store. The prices is very affordable, comfortable and a nice place to live.

This place is a great place to live. It is very quiet and peaceful. It is a metro station on 202. Perfect for me when I want to go to dc and not use my car. It is kid friendly, they have a elementary school right up the street. They’re very understanding. Every time I called for any maintenance, their always on time and got the job done right away. I would definitely recommend anyone to live here.
I’ve been a tenant for three years and I am happy to be in this community I’ve never had a complaint the staff is very helpful and understanding and maintenance will come to repair any issues going on in my apartment the rent is also affordable and this is a great place to raise your children

I just moved into Cheverly Gardens and have been very impressed. The leasing office staff were all very nice and the apartments were just renovated and look beautiful. They made sure everything I needed was taken care of.

I lived there for over 2 decades. For the first 20 years or so there was a massive infestation of roaches. My children frequently found roaches in their food which prevented my daughter from eating the meal. The roach problem only disappeared after they finally replaced all of the kitchen cabinets, but less than two years after that came the mice infestation which they made our responsibility for taking care of by telling us to search the apartment for any ways in which the rodents could enter and to plug them up. In some places the walls are crumbling to the point that you can see the lathing. The bathroom ceiling has to repeatedly be repaired and painted because of leaks as well as a leak in the kitchen beneath the sink that left anything stored there moldy, rusted and unusable. The floors (wooden) have never been varnished in all the time we lived there and the walls are impossible to keep clean and you're not allowed to paint them any color other than the white color that the walls are painted when you move in. Some of the doors are hollow and appear to made of cardboard. Given that you can hear everyone in the apartment (in which you live and your neighbors) this makes privacy almost impossible; frequently I would keep a fan on year round to prevent noise outside the bedroom from keeping me up at night. The rental rates for the apartments are economical and the apartments are roomy with lots of closet space, but the quality of the apartments are not very good so you'll get what you pay for. The management has a high rate of turn over (10-12 in the years I lived there). Maintenance has improved dramatically; when we first moved in we would often have to call two or three times before receiving service. Often maintenance would leave the mess for the tenant to clean up. Most management was OK but there was only one property manager who treated tenants like more than a number and they got rid of her within 2 years. There haven't been any awful managers, but they aren't the most professional (using exclamation points in professional correspondence and leaving messages that sound like threats). Basically, when renting an apartment from this property caveat emptor (buyer beware).

I love my apartment! i just moved in to a renovated unit and it is stunning and really affordable, compared to other apartments in the area. In fact, it was the cheapest renovated unit i saw! The leasing and management staff are extremely helpful and caring. They walked me through the entire process and explained everything to me. The location is perfect, right across the street from save-a-lot and close to other stores.
