Property Ratings at Emerald Apartments
The management team will arrange for a person to come in and spray. That does not help. I lived there for approximately 2 years and had about 10 of them, big ones too. When I moved in, there was one crawling on the floor, in the kitchen, then in the carpet area… where were they coming from ? I had them every couple of months..after they sent the spray lady. Whenever the did work in another apartment..they would show up. The last time I found them…they were in the kitchen on the walls and ceiling. BIG ones. My cat found the ceiling one.
Where do I begin? 1. Used condoms on property and one on a mailbox. The one on the ground was there for a week. Office was sent photos and still it was there. 2. Alcohol bottles around the property 3. Water is constantly bring shut off 4. NO FREE WIFI 5. NO W/D or D/W 6. They do not take payments at the office and only checks or use RentCafe and pay large fees For the money yo can do better somewhere else!
this place is bad. i moved in found bed bugs Now I can't Get rid of the buGs. thE yaRdS. are nice but attract bugs. the office staff is not friendly. the water is off without notice all the time. the area is unsafe. weirdos HANG out here 24\7. 0 stars i would give.
I have lived here about 6 years now and love it. I love the grounds and how well they are maintained. The office staff are pleasant as well. I recommend this place for adult living. Perfect for students attending Mesa Community College. It's affordable, convenient and utilities included (water/electricity). I really miss the prior property manager, Jennifer though. I have no plans on moving anytime soon either. I enjoy the pool and landscape. I have had a few issues, but that's to be expected in apartment living, and they were taken care of. Great place to live. There are lots of old timers here and that in itself should speak in volumes.
I've lived here for several years. The grounds and pool are well maintained. The office staff is always helpful. Sometimes repairs are a little slow but a nice place to live.
Been at this place for about a year and, for the most part, it is a quiet place to stay with helpful staff and maintenance. Very close to Mesa Community College and quite a few food spots around. Mesa is also improving this area (Tempe/Mesa Border) a bit so some nice changes have been made during my time. All in all, I can't complain for having selected Emerald as my first solo apartment.
Avoid this place! I have had the water off for 6 or more hours for each of the last 4 days. Just right now I had to leave a double decker in the Tank because i have no water and the bowl had no water and it stunk so bad in my bathroom. If you fill out a work order to get things fixed in your apartment expect to wait about 6 weeks. Some lady was down by the pool that i could hear yelling from my apartment about how she was bipolar and ranting and raving and yelling down there. Creepy people at night and day. There were so many bed bugs that when I woke up I had a bed bug beard. The lawns are so over watered that I took some mud from where they had over watered and put it on my face to soothe the bed bug bites.
This place is scary and it is apparent that bmsi and patty don't know what they are doing. They let druggies and others that appear to be ex-cons in here. The laundry room still has half the washers broke. The pool has been broke for months and closed. If you put in a work order it takes a month to fix it. They should provide you a free gun for self defense when you move in. Bed bugs come included with rent.
So after being a resident here for a number of years I am officially done! I was told they had replaced my ac unit come to find out that was a lie and here I am a month later being told its going to be a number of days I will be without ac again 110 plus degree weather! They never even swapped my unit out like I was told nor did they check my unit out last Saturday when I warned them that it was possibly my unit making noise. Its been over 2 weeks and still waiting to get lights in the kitchen working and a new shower head. What is wrong with this place? Last year I was using an outside electrical outlet that I was told years ago it was a common area power plug and I could use it as such, and it quit working when I needed to charge my electric car. The office told me to run a cord to my car from inside my apartment. Guess what? A few days later I get an eviction notice saying I couldn't do that and it was stealing even though all utilities are included and you all told me to do it. Don't even get me started on the broken laundry room and the pools been closed for months.
I moved in a month ago and no complaints very quite. My neighbors very nice. Staff is also great.
It is in a convenient location if you go to MCC, which is where I attend school. There's free utilities and the apartments recently got painted so it looks pretty good now! It isn't a bad place, and it is affordable. The staff is nice and helpful. The only thing is that there are some weirdos around and I have gotten my CDs stolen out of my car twice.
The buildings are from before the 80's and all brick. Louder noises sound mufffled and a distance away expect for what's outside the window. A nice location by Asian markets, fat food, restaurants, Target, a small mall, pawns, and circle k. The neighbors are creepy if you mean the older ones, but the college and in between crowd are all smiles. The unit is clean and quiet with a Murphy bed in my studio. I just wish it had an outdoor closet to store my totes and suitcase. I plan on staying till I finally move out of state. It's hard to find decent sized, affordable, and clean places in phx over my 6 year experience.
