Property Ratings at The Lory of Hoover
Within the six months me and my friend lived in this apartment it flooded. They did not compensate us for any of the flooding inconvenience. We had to walk through water for a week. They never came to clean the floors. They had to open the walls to get to the pipes and they had wall debris all over the apartment. I had a full on allergic reaction because we had no accommodation to stay anywhere else. We still are paying the same amount of rent. They will randomly do inspections without telling you, emailing, or calling you. We have woken up in our apartment countless times to someone being in our apartment doing an inspection or maintenance repair. No phone calls to warn us, no emails to warn us. I’m in a dispute with them currently. What should not be on my patio. They’re saying I’m not allowed to keep bicycles on my patio. We’re afraid to put them outside because of theft. THERE WAS A SHOOTING HERE days before Christmas (two buildings over), and they did not tell us, I had to look it up online. We will never get our refund back probably from this horrible place. Do not rent here. It has been a nightmare and my lease doesn’t end until July.
Lol every single bad review is very accurate. Communication sucks. NO MAINTENANCE. No one is ever in the leasing office ,phones are always down(so they say ). If you do get in touch ,they’ll just tell you what you want to hear ,but no action will be taken. I’m currently living here and it’s absolutely dreadful. If you don’t have to ,don’t .
You will be calling and leaving voicemails for weeks, months and days for them to come get a work order done and it never get done. I'm currently still waiting. Pest control is getting out of hand here. They do not care about they tenant's.

They don't take care of the tenants but they want your rent ON TIME. They only care about passing last minute inspections from other vendors. If you have a maintenance problem you can forget about it being addressed because it won't be resolved. The walls are paper-thin you can hear everything that's going on around you which also means everyone else can hear inside your apartment. Pest control problem. The appliances don't function properly. And every unit has NOT been renovated, so the pictures you see featured are only in a very few units, every where else is run down. People like to throw trash all over the parking lots. They constantly change rent office managers so it's never organized and they are poor at communicating.
Don't perform repairs for weeks, if ever ! Manager is rude, won't answer phone & just doesn't give a damm about Tenants !!!

I've been living here for now 2 1/2 years with this complex and it has been a pleasant experience. Its FILLED with children, and with the recently added playground, my husband and I take our 3 kids there often. Its located within walking distance to the store, movies, gas stations, and restaurants. I absolutely LOVE Jerry-maintenance man. He will fix almost anything! He such a nice Christian man! I really love staying where I am, and its just right for my little/big family.
My apartment is located in a Nice neighborhood. It is an older complex and has larger rooms inside than some of the newer apartments. The grounds are well kept and is conveniently located to shopping, and restaurants.
