Situated just over three miles northwest of Downtown Minneapolis, Glenwood Junction consistently ranks as one of the best suburbs in Minneapolis. There’s a diverse renter population here, including families, students, commuting professionals, and everyone in between. Residents praise the area for its attractive streets, lush landscape, nearby parks, and top-notch schools.
There’s a modest selection of restaurants, shopping centers, and entertainment options scattered around the neighborhood, the bulk of which you’ll find along Highway 55. But the main calling card of Glenwood Junction is Theodore Wirth Regional Park, and the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden. Both green spaces give the area a lush feel and make it a welcome escape from the city that lies just a few minutes away.

Property Ratings at Emerald Pointe
I have lived here for 5 years, and cannot speak highly enough of the community/staff & residents. They are very welcoming and very friendly. Tons of events & activities for kids and families. They have their own transportation services that will take you to lunch, shopping centers, etc. They even have tours at Christmas time to see the lights! The units are very spacious with large kitchens and plenty of closet space. The courtyard is amazing for the kids to get out and play, host barbecues and so on. They are constantly making improvements and listen to the resident for wants/needs. I would highly recommend Emerald Pointe to anyone looking for a safe, clean environment to call home.
I love living here, it's so nice to be in a place that actually cares about their residents and they do so many wonderful activities and a news letter each month.
Great staff! Office and maintenance staff handle requests as soon as they come in! The community always smells fresh and clean and is disinfected regularly. Wonderful place to raise a family! My family has lived here for many many years without any issues and attentive staff! There is no other place we would rather be! I would highly refer this community to anyone looking for a clean and safe apartment community to call home!
The office staff will claim to always be there to help you, but they don’t. And they are sneaky. You have to call down to the office multiple times to check in about your request and stay on them to make sure your requests are taken care of. They have had quite a few different “interim” managers lately who have come and gone. Haven’t found a permanent manager yet to come over and in to deal with the issues going on here. None of them stay, which says a lot about the community. And they always blame each other whenever you call them out on something. So, you have one person telling you one thing and then someone else something different because they’re never on the same page. Hallways smell unclean (like pets and trash) along with laundry rooms, which is not good in the midst of a pandemic. They clean/vacuum the elevators out when they want to, which isn’t very often. So many other bad things to say about Emerald Pointe, but I’ll just start looking for a place to get away from here as soon as I can. I’ll never come back here and I don’t recommend it to anyone that is looking for a quality place to stay.
worst place I ever lived! a nightmare of an experience. I would avoid this place at all costs. between repairs not getting done to pot smell constant in hallways to kids running and yelling down hallways to people napping and being in community room non stop to the lack of insulation between floors. could hear everything. to kids making threats to other kids and stalking them. to kids destroying property. not to mention the popcorn, movie nights and pastries that are included in rent but not for people the have to work before 9am. if you want to live quiet and mind your own business this is NOT the place for you! everybody knows your business. half the time security door is held open or when people are sitting there they will let anyone and everyone in. might as well live in mpls! it there was a negative score I would give it.
I haven't even move in yet i all ready no were going to love our new home so much to interact in all month long before me and my wife got accepted we couldn't stop talking about the place we love our home can't wait to put it together just wont to say thanks for welcoming us
This place is close to many big shopping areas and even has access to the local farmer's market. The staff are amazing and the place is kept pretty clean. It even has a community room which can be rented out for things like grad parties. Only complaint is that when maintenance is done outside, they start early and it can be quite noisy.
