Historically one of the economic and cultural powerhouses of the Midwest, Detroit is full of people who are working towards redevelopment and revitalization. Known as the origin of the automobile industry, the Motor City is moving towards a future of economic opportunity with roots far beyond the world of cars. The cost of living is low while rental rates for apartments, condos, and houses are highly attractive for any budget.
Monuments paying tribute to Detroit’s rich history are everywhere while astonishing architecture and public artwork is scattered throughout the city. As the birthplace of Motown, Detroit has a long tradition of producing legendary musicians like Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder. This tradition continues today and it’s easy to find live performances from every genre.
The city is a great destination for sports lovers as one of the few American cities with major leagues in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.

Property Ratings at Emerald Springs
Low rent comes with a hefty price! (Peace) This property is a dump! Management never addresses anything. Different staff often. The grounds are unkept. Trash and debri everywhere! Stay away!!!!
They send eviction notices every month even if you put your rent in their hands before it is due. They refuse to fix anything that is broken in your home. They advertise that air is included, but it’s not. The central air units do not work and they refuse to repair or replace them. It is nice and eats running through the property because of all the trash laying around. The staff change very frequently and majority of them are very rude. If I could give 0 stars I would.
I went in for a 2nd interview I guess you would call it... Ms.Moore was no longer there,ok But this new lady seemed to have a bad attitude towards me from when I first walked in... Rude,I'm talking to her she not responding but goes off and start talking with someone else who walked in,note she wasn't the only employee there so she could have finished answering my questions like I answered hers.. Then another new resident came in and this same lady was very nice and friendly to her,,, Then she comes back to me asked are you ready,,,I'm like yes I am...and yep she was still nasty and rude and I haven't even got in the apt yet....I'm just submitting more paperwork had an appt.. I'm like do I even want to move here... Then ok well we updating our records and I will be put on the waiting list.....lorrd.... Her attitude and energy was so bad .....I had to make this comment.....
Always sending eviction threats. Never missed paying rent they just pretend to not see it. Missing paperwork too for eviction. Living here is horrible too nothing gets fixed I have one toilet broken. The thermostat don’t work. The ac is don’t cool down. Don’t let looks fool you. I need to get out because it’s not handicap accessible too. 9/15/22 put in work order number 4. 9/27/22 hud inspection and telling me to do things to the apartment. Nothing fixed yet. Just the toilet was fixed so far. As of the 10/27/22 The apartment smells like raw sewage and needs the drain cleaned. But who knows when that will happen. Unfortunately I have nowhere to go. Management short staffed but expecting me to recertification quickly and pay rent but doing nothing to fix up apartments until hud visit.
Love it here beautiful grass stay cut clean very spacious
I wish I could but no stars. Since Ms Kimberly left this place has went down. Do not move here. The office never answer the phone and is always closed. What are they even doing cause nothing is getting done? Kimberly was probably the only one that actually cared about us they just let anyone get in that office. Staff changes all the time, Emerald is not what it use to be and I will be moving very soon. Maintenance doesn’t fix anything and you have to call in the work order 3 or 4 times and they still don’t come. They got rid of all the good people. Bring Lorenzo back he cared and got things done.
They put late fees on your account even if rent is paid on time. If u put in a work order they never come to fix the issues. Management and their staff changes every 2 months. Everyone that works in the office is very rude and disrespectful.
I’ve been living here for 4 years now & can’t thank Ms Kimberly enough she has the best service & interest in people ! She’s the reason I still live here ! The Greatest I’ve come across so far on my renting journey , & They Also have new guys in Maintenance Rayshawn & Dell who come and get the job done on time great service & genuine people ! All around great staff & can’t forget Ms Katrina answers the phone politely & with respect and handle all your concerns ! Thank You All Well Appreciate!
Very nice location and amenities, good condition. The only downside is the dated look of the kitchen and bathrooms. The office staff is very nice and responsive but the maintenance staff always half fix things. I have to do it myself
This is a decent place to live. The homes are nice and the area is relatively safe. The maintenance department is terrible and the front office staff is constantly changing employees and they are always rude. The people in this area are very loud and routy at times which makes them difficult to deal with. I would move here only if you have no other option, and if you do make it temporary.
