One of Cincinnati’s most exciting, up-and-coming neighborhoods, Over-the-Rhine has a rich heritage and diverse community. In fact, this neighborhood was one of the most densely populated areas in the country during the turn of the 20th century and is lined with well-preserved 19th-century buildings. Professionals, families, and more flock to Over-the-Rhine for its central location, big-city amenities, and abundant entertainment. This neighborhood is just a few short blocks from Downtown Cincinnati, making it easy for commuters to walk or bike to work. Unique restaurants, hip gastropubs, craft breweries, and boutiques line the streets of Over-the-Rhine’s Gateway District. This lively community has plenty to offer, and is home to Findlay Market, Washington Park, and Cincinnati Music Hall.

Property Ratings at The Emery Apartments
Construction noise dail from 8-6 every day. Rooms are poorly remodeled with bad ventilation, dangerous molds, lack of required safety equipment, broken windows, exposed broken tiles and nails, and sinks ripping from the wall. I would recommend anywhere but here. Most former tenants are working on a lawsuit against this organization.
There are many parts: 1. The apartment complex is still under construction...there are different groups of people walking around the entire complex everyday and don't even think about WFH because there will be drilling/pounding going on from ~9AM until 4:30 on the dot. 2. There are no amenities - absolutely everything they state is incomplete because they are focused on finishing the base apartments...there is no roof, barely any parking, and honestly nothing of value 3. The parts that are completed are bad - showers overflowing, broken windows, terrible flooring, etc.
Just pitiful. We moved in just a few weeks ago and management has already shown to be practically malicious. We have a broken shower that runs randomly, a broken wind, and moved in to multiple lights not working, missing flooring, exposed nails, and missing and broken tiling. Parking is a tight squeeze even for our sedan and while we were initially ensured 2 spots we only received one. After speaking with our neighbors it's apparent management is an issue for everyone but after a few months (once you no longer have to deal with them to fix the litany of issues in your "new" unit) the location cannot be beat! Looking forward to updating this review in a few months. Hoping I have that same mindset.
The Neighborhood: Over-The-Rhine (OTR) is Cincinnati's newest hot spot. I've lived here for only three years and the neighborhood has tripled in restaurants, bars, and amenities. Washington Park (only a 5 minute walk away) is always bustling with events, the City Flea Market, festivals, free yoga and work-out classes on the lawn. There is a splash park and a huge playground for the kids. There is also a great dog park with a water feature and weekly 'Yappy Hour' in the spring and fall. The Apartment: My apartment is a beauty! Many years ago, the building was an engineering college and even today it is still connected to the Emery Theater. The building managers have restored the soul of the building while incorporating beautiful apartments. My front door is one of the heavy original school doors. I have very high ceilings and large 10ft windows that span the entire apartment letting tons of natural light in. I have carpet floors but wood is also available and they are beautiful! The neighbors are also very friendly and post information or free tickets for events in the lobby. The building management is excellent. Cleaning services come in every weekday morning. Anytime there is an issue in my apartment like a low battery on my smoke alarm, or a clogged drain (I have new appliances so this happens rarely), our landlord is extremely responsive. After one text he usually fixes the problem the same day. There is a parking garage in the building, which is very convenient with all the amenities in the neighborhood (and a new street parking meter increase). There is also a fitness room in the building, a quaint conference space for residents to reserve for gatherings and a very large rooftop deck with a community grill and beautiful view of downtown.
