Dallas is one of the largest cities in America, combining urban sophistication with an incomparable Texan personality. Dallas is an altogether unique blend of cultures, styles, and flavors, with more than one million people calling the city proper home.
Living in Dallas puts you right in the thick of it all, with endless options to customize your experience. Corporate professionals seeking to avoid long commutes may want to look for apartments in Downtown or Uptown, which are both home to major business centers as well as residential communities, affording many residents walkable access to work. Culture enthusiasts should consider apartments near the Dallas Arts District, which is home to the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Winspear Opera House, and more. Creatives may enjoy places like Old East Dallas and North Oak Cliff, where artistic pursuits abound.
Dallas offers some of the most diverse nightlife in Texas, from laid-back lounges to thumping night clubs.

Property Ratings at Enclave at Prestonwood
Over the past couple of years since the current management company took over the property, it has really gone downhill. There's not a day/night that goes by that people are driving into or out of the complex blasting their car stereos, sometimes in the middle of the night! Guest parking is most times unavailable because residents are using those spaces and not paying for them (guest parking is $3.50 for every 24 hours, which I think is absolutely insane!). There have been a few times that friends of mine have wanted to come over but had to go right back home because there was no guest parking available anywhere in the complex! I send messages through their resident portal, but never receive responses from anyone. I had received an email in late Sept 2023: "Residents using the pool and grill area unauthorized, you have been caught on camera." I fired a reply immediately back to the office saying that I hadn't been in the pool/grill areas since before Summer 2021, so I had been incorrectly identified as the perpetrator. It's now late Feb 2024 and after sending 2 more inquiries in this regard via the resident portal, still no response from management. I have looked everywhere I could think of on the web for an actual email address to use instead of the resident portal, but no luck.
Infestation, thieves (car got broken into twice), apartment got broken into once. they show you one apartment and then they tell you the apartment isn't ready and they make you move into one that's not even close to what you signed for., trash management too. Good luck getting someone to come attend your service request. cheap but get what you pay for.
Used to be ok till the new company bought the apartments and fired the old staff and hired all new people. Angela is fake friendly and the moment you tell her something she doesn't like she gets rude. Have had roaches on and off for the past 2 years. no matter how much I clean they always come back.
Like roaches?!? Then this is the place for you!! I’m not talking about one or two big roaches I’m talking about the entire place is infested. Make sure you check your shower, bed, clothes, and fridge. Most importantly never take off your shoes! Oh wanna move to a different unit? Ha. The only way you can move is if you upgrade to a larger unit, pay the higher rent, and a new security deposit. THEY WANT YOU TO SUFFER! Maintenance is a joke. It takes weeks for anyone to come out and fix things. We’ve had to resubmit tickets because maintenance marks them as complete when nothing has been done. They’ve done this on multiple occasions were we have even been home all day. Remember that thing about suffering? Our lease is up at the end of April and we will be getting rid of all our furniture so that the roaches don’t follow us into our new place. Save your money and live somewhere else!
Worst renting situation ever. Why.... 1) no where to park. Parking is not restricted. My neighbor has several cars and they take all the spaces by our unit. Only space open is handi cap. Parked there to unload my car 15 minutes....they towed it...time was 12 am....security had it towed. 2) no security.....unless your being towed 3)foul smell in apartment. They wont fix 4) do poop all over grounds...never walk in the grass. 5) price is decent but trust me you will pay. They will milk you for every sent 6) post control...no pest control. They use the same stuff you buy at walmart or home depot. Then they charge you a fee monthly for it. Please listen tO what I'm saying...DO NOT STAY HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR SANITY. I wish someone would have told be before I moved here. I have not been here a full year and i want out of the raggedy place.
The first 3 months I was here, I could not get a water bill. Each time I called there was an excuse, even turning the blame on me saying I set it up incorrectly. They have full control of the water bill here, i can't call the water company. Then my lock malfunctioned on a Saturday after working all day. It was after 5 and the maintenance man stated he was not allowed to do lock outs. I explained to him that I had my key in hand and that the problem was their lock. He again told me that he was not allowed because I could be fighting with a boyfriend and they couldn't get involved. I explained to him that I was the only person on the lease and that my lease was inside if he could get me in and fix the lock. Again he told me no. I had to get a friend to break into the patio in order to get me inside. That leads me to my next concern, it took 2 minutes for him to get inside because there is no real lock on the patio doors. I had to go to Home Depot and purchase industrial bug spray because the place is infested with roaches. Don't even think about leaving late because you will not have a spot with you return. I learned that the hard way when my truck got towed due to parking next to the dumpster due to absolutely no parking in the entire complex. That cost me an uber and 160.00 and no work the next day. They write your maintenance issues down but don't fix them. You call and they tell you the same thing" I will pull the work order for him to make sure it's completed tomorrow" but it doesn't happen. Then they are rude when you keep calling about it. It takes 20 minutes to get hot water. I could go on and on. It's just a terrible place to live!
They are super nice before you apply untill you sign the dotted line. False advertising of amenities, unorganized, parking sucks (having to walk across the entire complex at night because of parking), hidden fees, they break taa standards, crime activities (a lot of the apartment entry doors have evidence of break ins), employee retention is high, low customer service.
Just moved in here, my apartment handed over nice and clean, new carpet, new paint etc, had some issues, was taken care very nicely, Mr. Ramon who came & fixed the things in my apartment 2-3 times already, he's a nice gentleman and hard working man, I found office team are very friendly & helpful, Ms. Candice, Kimberly, Diana & friends, and this location is amazingly perfect for me, you have everything close by the both side front or backside, I was referred by my good friend and I'll surely refer this place to my friends, Thank you Office team & Thank you to Mr. Ramon & team , ??????
This review doesn't even deserve 1 star. Management is terrible, and incompetent. Don't even try to get ahold of the corporate office for anything they are just as bad. Do not move here. You will regret it!!!
The staff simply does not care about any tenants in this complex. Upon arriving there were multiple issues with pest control in the apartment and a terrible infestation. We were promised that pest control would come out and then backtracked saying we needed proof almost 2 months later. Come to find out we've been paying for a year's worth pest control fees and they never had keys to enter the apartment. (So what pest control did we ever get??) Eventually we had to pay for a $60 professional pest control service from our own pocket because the problem was never fixed. When we first arrived on our specified move-in date, the apartment had not been painted and the kitchen counters were not done. You'd think they would at least give us a call, but no, instead we had a rental truck already paid for and couldn't properly move in for 2 days. Parking is a nightmare and they will probably never address that problem. But again, I could probably put up with many of the problems of this complex if it wasn't run by the most unprofessional and rude staff I have ever seen. There are plenty of other issues that I don't have time to address on here but have probably already been mentioned in other reviews. **I have posted this on other sites for visibility so that hopefully you won't make the same mistake as the others that live here.
Worst Management ever, they care about nothing, cause they take the standard salary, no matter what you said, they will always say" I understand", but they will do nothing. It will take about two months to ask them to fix something, you have to complain again and again, and of course, they will say I understand and do nothing again. Super noisy place.
Gun!!!!!!!! Yes, I have heard there is a gun shoot recently, horrible. Lived here few months, but I am leaving definitely. Always so noisy.
I have been living here for about two years now. I am just waiting for lease to be over so that I can move out. The management does not care at all. there are constant noise issues from tenants, but yet no one does anything about it. Your maintenance request is completed after you attempted to reach them several times. Though the price is relatively cheaper compared to other apartments near by, it is so Not worth it. By all means, avoid moving to this apartment.
Before I even moved in I knew I would regret living here, but signed the lease anyway. The management office is completely incompetent. They assured me they were open Jan. 1st, but when I called to check, they said they were closed and I had to move my move-in day to Dec. 31st. The apartment was disgustingly dirty, and management was more focused on getting to their NYE plans (they actually told me this). I understood moving at New Years was a little annoying so I let that go. Maintenance was decent, if management actually put in the requests as they said they would. Our door was really difficult to lock and unlock and they fixed that. Stove sensor was broken, and they refused to fix it so we never knew if it was really on or heated up. Pool never warm, BBQ never had gas. Lots of unregistered dogs. Bad smell on one corner of property. Neighbors puppy actually stolen. Window screens ripped and bugs everywhere. Charged for pest control but never saw any changes. Drawers were installed cheapest way possible (as was everything) and continually just fell out. Literally saw the landscaper guy painting the grass green. Muddy walkways and cars back-in blocking most walkways mean you will ruin your shoes. Whole apartment leaned, and support by stairways was cracked and off its base, but management swore it was up to code. WOULD NOT LIVE HERE AGAIN.
Great area. Walmart, tom thumb, chase, wells fargo, 7 eleven, and addison square is in walking distance. Plenty of bus routes as well as a bus station close by. The tollway is less than a 5 minute drive and 635 is about a 7 minute drive. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. apartment is really affordable for the area. Its has a range of layouts. It has 2 pools, a dog park, and a jungle gym. The apartmen is also rentavated. The management is so so. The condition of the apartment isn't run down but not upscale.
It's small....and my mother's. After my split in my relationship, I lost everything & moved in with her until I get on my feet...It's a really small one bedroom,...and really difficult to live in this cramp apt of hers...and need my own.I guess that's all...
Lives in this complex for a about 2 years.never had an issue. Management are great.
Apartment Staff friendly and helpful. The units are nice but there are some issues with sound. Two nice pools. Sometimes maintenance can be slow to respond to issues.
Rent is on the lower side, and while it's in a nice part of town, the apartment complex is not that nice. Maintenance staff if just barely helpful - don't expect for anyone to go above and beyond for you. I've seen one of the guys put a "POOL CLOSED" sign on the gate, only to see him in there later hosting his own private pool party. When I moved in, the manager blatantly refused to clean the apartment for me, which was handed to me filthy and disgusting. Kitchen is very small and cupboards/pantry are minimally functional. Have a silverware tray? It's not fitting in the drawer. Rooms did not have smoke detectors, until I specifically asked for them to be installed, per housing law. It is a fairly quiet neighborhood and people tend to keep to themselves. All that side, you do get what you pay for. It's a great place to return to if you work a lot and just need a place to sleep.
The location is great for convenience, located about a block away is a shopping center full of restaurants, bars, and super markets, even a theater. If you need to make your way towards downtown Dallas then jump on the 121 located just a street away and take a straight shot down to the largest urban center Texas has to offer. The area has been in the process of complete restoration with new appliances and a fresh new look, and is well maintained for the most part, they have pool and a recreation center with a full gym and BBQ station located right next to the pool side.
It is apt #122, I hope to win. The apartment complex is alright. They keep the pool clean. They provide a home atmosphere. I have lived here for 6 years. They do a good job on maintaining the landscaping. The staff are kind to me. Thank you. Pamela Anne Washington.
This apartment complex is what you would expect for the relatively low rent. It is safe and quiet for the most part. The laundry rooms aren't as well maintained as they could be and one of the pools has been closed on and off consistently throughout the summer. Some of the employees are helpful and kind but the upper management seems lazy and a bit rude. If you're a low maintenance renter and just looking to find somewhere cheap where you won't be bothered, this could be a fit for you.
the apartment complex i currently live in is nice. i cant complain because i have a roof over my head and i am in a safe area. i like where i live bu i am still a hardworking fulltime worker who would ike to go back to school but rent it going up.
The Enclave apartments are right on the Dallas/Addison line so the location is amazing for the price. The atmosphere is calm, the neighbors are quiet and the landscape is OK. The apartments have been bought and sold twice in the two years I have lived here so they have been doing renovations to vacant apartments and giving the exterior a face lift. Now let's get down to the nitty gritty, the management/employees are not so great, so do not expect exceptional customer service(after you move in). If you need help with something and its even close to closing time most of the employees will tell you to come back the next day at an earlier time or tell you to go online to put in a work order, that will most likely never be answered. You have to stay on top of them if you need anything fixed in you apartment or it will not get fixed. Last year our hot water went out for six days, they have seven days to fix it before the city will get involved, on the seventh day it came back on for two days then went out for another three days. Overall, the apartments are OK, in a sense you get what you pay for and you can't beat the location being so close to Addison. I really hope this helps I know I would have loved to seen a review on these apartments before I moved in. ;-)
This complex is in a very nice quite area. It has many shopping areas. And for those foodies out there, this is the place to be. With over 120 restaurants within 3 mile radius. Wonderful upgrades.
I found the enclave throught apartments.com, and I must say it made it so easy to choose where I wanted to live. It showed me and told me everything I needed to make a decision. And now I live at the enclave and Im loving my decision. The apartments are in a good area , conveniently by a Walmart and by the tollway. There's everything you need with a couple mile radius. Love it!!
Enclave apartments are a wonderful place to live at, they are peaceful & great for kids because there is a play ground. At night you will find people running outside & walking their dogs because that's how comfortable you feel here. Apartments on the inside are great & rent is perfect, not to high but not to cheap. Office workers are wonderful with people & very helpful when you need it! I'd recommend this place to everyone, you won't regret it!
Just moved in and so far I have been happy with the place. It is very quite and peacefully. The only negative is they are slow in getting things fixed but I hope this will not be the case all the time. Still early, I have only been there for 3 weeks. Staff is very friendly
