At the point where the Monongahela River and the Allegheny River meet to form the Ohio River rests downtown Pittsburgh, the heartbeat of the city. The terrain, consisting of rivers, steep hills, and a distinct combination of numerous bridges make this a naturally scenic city. Downtown Pittsburgh is a lively area filled with shops, restaurants, museums, and theaters. It is also home to Point Park University and Point State Park, a National Historic Landmark as the location of Fort Duquesne, the Fort Pitt Museum, and the Fort Pitt Blockhouse (built in 1764).
The unique design of downtown Pittsburgh offers residents pocket-like neighborhoods that display its architectural heritage and steel city legacy. A variety of dining and entertainment options line the streets below mid to high rise offices and residential towers. No matter what time of the day or night, you can find something to do in this friendly sports-oriented city.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for choosing Encore for your home!
It's kept clean, and the neighbors are quiet.
I would recommend this apartment for city living.
I would recommend it as the apartments are spacious with nice amenities.
The kindness and understanding is beyond my expectations. The staff people are friendly and knowledgeable. The residents seem to be friendly.
Having rented in NYC, one real plus of living in The Encore is how quiet my apartment is! This building is well-built with near-soundproof walls and double glass windows!
I would recommend the building for its apartments, location, and some of its amenities. I would warn them, however, about a bar in the area that has caused some issues as well as the fact that the building doesn't provide some of the amenities that newer buildings now do.
I love everything about my apartment and living at the Encore! Everything in the apartment is so quiet - I don't hear my neighbors. Love the gym and the resident lounge. Package delivery is so convenient as well. And the parking is the best you can get for city living (although having designated spots for residents would be very nice)! There are 2 minor drawbacks: Club Seven that is essentially next door brings a lot of noise at night and some unsavory characters to the street (and there were gunshots recently). The other thing is that in the summer there are very loud motorcycles - one of which is housed in the Encore's private garage. Again, likely outside of the Encore's control but the noise of the bike and the loud music they play is disruptive and inconsiderate.
It is a great place but there are many options out there now with new updated appliances and finishes.
I would--the staff are very nice, accomodating, and quickly resolved hiccups. Being reasonable and friendly go a long way during a stressful move. Thank you!
Very friendly knowledgeable staff and would Definitely recommend this apartment!
The Encore certainly checks every box/category in this survey, but there should be additional topics. One of the best and most unique features is how very quiet the apartments are due to excellent construction. Also, the neighborhood is lovely and convenient: I can walk to so many great plays, games, concerts and restaurants! Finally, these apartments are very well maintained.
The concierge service is such a nice aspect of living at these apartments.
The staff are exceptional and truly can't do enough to help and make you happy.
The team at this community is great and I have had no issues at all.
It's a wonderful place to live and I love it every single day!
I would recommend the Encore because of the safety I feel living there as a single woman and the friendliness of the other people living there and the staff.
I am currently recommended to a friend. My only concern is the complex has a water drainage issue that needs fixed. In 18 months, we had three issues. The plumber said there were issues the complex needed to fix so they wouldn't occur. So far I have not seen that happen. Actually, we moved within the complex. Jackie was extremely helpful and so was Bill and Shawn during the move process. My feeling is the owner needs to look into the drain issue and get it fixed before your reputation is tainted. Assuming the rent doesn't go up every year, we hope to be long term residents.
I have been recommending to people looking for a place. I'm pretty sure a friend will be applying in the next couple months.
W've been entirely happy with our experience at The Encore.
Bill and the other gentleman were very polite, fast and knowledge ... they fix my shower and I took a long and delicious bath that night ... Thanks guys for the prompt service and attention Regards Eddie # 409
While I love both my apartment and the building location, I have been in newer buildings recently that have better common areas and amenities for people my age (25-35 years old) that I would recommend over The Encore for people who have the flexibility to live outside of downtown.
The building is beautiful, everything is maintained well (minus the problems with the elevators but that was out of the buildings control), and everyone is very friendly (escorcially Ed!).
The elevator challenge is huge. With two out the last Elevator died today and I had to walk up a number of floors. This ongoing is unacceptable and there needs to be rent adjustments for this challenge...if I had a dog this would be a big challenge!
Would suggest a new residency tour of the building once I became a resident. Couldn?t recall where the post office was. Didn?t know where trash dispensers we?re located. Parking lot etc. it would be helpful
Very clean and pleasant atmosphere as soon as you enter the building. Very friendly staff, great to work with. Jackie, gave me a wonderful tour of the community. The community offers great amenities, newer building, balconies, great storage space in apartments, included utilities, great location.
On move-in day, the freight elevator I had booked well in advance was being used and it delayed my move in and cost me more (I had been paying movers by the hour). The office personnel I worked with was not very helpful, as he did not save the elevator I requested and was slow in responding to my needs at move in. I have also emailed him and asked him questions many times relating to my extra set of keys, wifi service, rental deposit, etc that he did not get back to me until I asked him two or three subsequent times. However, I started contacting the office manager about my issues and she has been more helpful.
As a semi-retired couple, we are pleased to live within our income and retain our independence by living in the city at The Encore. City living is not for everyone, nor is the city government always receptive to addressing the problems that affect residents.
yes
We love the location and the people here, both the staff and other residents we've met. But the space and amenities don't quite measure up, plus downtown living isn't for everyone.
This is a great new home for us and anyone would be lucky to live here.
Great location. Love walking to restaurants and events downtown has to offer. Unfortunately, no grocery stores or shopping.
We're new to the community and everything has been perfect! We're lucky to live there and would love it, too.
I would and have recommended the Encore based on all facets of my experience. Had 1202, that is, a river view apartment, not been available, I might have chosen another, more economical option in the city. For me, all the amenities are added value, but the indispensable asset is the view. It is a quality environment and most of the tenants I've met are cordial, and the group events have been good fun.
Maintenance (Jason and Shawn) are terrific. Never had an issue they did not fix in a speedy and pleasant manner
The property is well maintained, residents feel safe and enjoy a sense of community, and I've enjoyed my four years here!
No where in downtown has 18 floors of amazing views with full balconies, many with wood floors. They have great staff, instantaneous maintenance, and Ed - the best doorman in Pittsburgh.
