Property Ratings at Encore
I stopped in for a tour today. Nato showed me around and went above and beyond helping me find the perfect apartment! I also met with the manager Erin who is the nicest person ever. I would highly recommend Encore for anyone looking for a place in SLC! You can’t beat the location plus the staff is great

The building, apartments, amenities and personnel is amazing. I personally feel extremely grateful for having had the support of Nato through my moving process, I had to manage moving from Spain and he made my life so much easier. This is the best place to stay downtown. The service I recommend 500%!

Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything further we can do to make your stay more enjoyable. Best regards, Erin Kelson Property Manager
I've been living here for two months now, and it's fantastic! This is my first visit to the US for a short internship. I wan to avoid the high costs of hotels, so I tried to book a 1B1B apartment online. Despite I do not having credit history, the Encore Team tried their best to verify my overseas addresses, some of which weren't even in English. Since my arrival, the encore team has continued to impress with their exceptional service. The leasing agent Nato has patiently assisted me with understanding rent and utility bills and have promptly addressed all my maintenance requests. I am a huge golfer as well and they have a GOLF SIMULATOR!!!! Huge Plus! In terms of daily commuting, I don't have a car. It is good that the bus and TRAX stations are only a 3 2 minute walk away, making it easy for me to reach all my destinations. Regarding noise, I would like to say that I have never noticed any noise, unless all the windows are open during TRAX running time, then I can hear a little TRAX ringtone. I'm immensely grateful to the encore team for their professionalism and kindness.

I had the pleasure of living at Encore for the last 4 years. The stunning views and amenities made the experience incredible. If it wasn't for medical issues, I would renew my lease. I felt safe here. It is in walking distance to countless stores to shop from, food options, and rail station. The new management is also great! Nato is always eager to help and make me feel at home. The heated pool is also open all year long and my friends love coming over for it!

Staff is always professional, always willing to go the extra mile. It has been a great experience working with them so far. Nato the leasing agent made the entire leasing process as well as anything in between and after an effortless experience. The apartments overall are wonderful and the rest of the staff is amazing and great to work with. Always friendly, always a smile on their faces. I love this place!!!

Highly recommend this place. The location is very central and the staff is super friendly and caring especially Nahomi. She always makes sure your requests are completed and goes that extra mile for the residents. If you see her at the leasing office she would be more than happy to assist you with anything

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind words about our central location and friendly staff. We appreciate your recommendation and are glad to hear that they go above and beyond to assist residents.
My sister and I moved into a two bedroom apartment in August and we have absolutely loved living here! It's a great location - within walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants and downtown! The amenities are all kept so well and are fixed quickly if something is wrong. We have both felt safe in our apartment and the parking garage! The staff are so friendly and helpful and always available to help with whatever you need. Maintenance has also been great, whenever we have needed something done in the apartment they have done it within 24-48 hours. The only reason we aren't renewing our lease is because I am moving for a job, we highly recommend Encore!

We love all the amenities they provide and they also provide parking! That's a great thing to have when living downtown. I have to thank Nahomi and Rachel for making our life so much easier and helping us with all the application process. You guys are the best!

The current manager gives Encore five stars. I give it two. When the leasing office failed to mention the unit we'd reserved didn't have the primary feature we reserved it for--we should have walked. Danger ahead. We asked them if there was any other funny stuff going on. They said no. But we were put in a unit that didn't feel right. Turned out to be violating building codes left and right. Didn't have a single window that opened. Not even an air-pump to the outside. This isn't a glass skyscraper. It's a five-story in SLC. The unit smelled like a full jumbo-jet after a trans-Atlantic flight just because there was no ventilation at all. Making matters worse, the only intake point was the front door to the building's inner hallway (technically not an "intake" point). The hallway smelled like rotting flesh and garbage. We were told the reason for the garbage smell was the "valet trash service" tenants were using incorrectly. I was pretty sure there was a body decomposing somewhere. They disagreed. Long story short, we moved in the building and they charged us a lot of money for the privilege. We found out that the first unit was violating city code and their staff should have taken our concerns seriously. At least they should have listened to their own maintenance staff who thought it was a fire hazard. Also, the body was cooking on the fourth floor. When we complained about the air they treated us like it was all our fault. They said we'd signed a lease and that was that. We were "inconvenienced" by the smells and lack of clean air or any ability to open a single window. Look at a picture of this building. Would you expect to not have a single functioning window? We expect far better for "urban luxury in downtown SLC." At a minimum we expect kindness and courtesy.
Moving into Encore was the best decision I made in moving from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City! Kara, the manager, helped me find the perfect apartment tailored to my needs, all while we were located in different states. Kara went above and beyond to send me photos of available units and spent several phone calls with me patiently discussing the differences and benefits of each unit. Kara helped me feel confident in the unit I selected, provided me with a clear breakdown of monthly costs (rent, parking, etc.) and made the application process easy (a huge relief when dealing with the stress of moving to a new state). Aside from the fantastic and responsive management staff, the quality of the building is the best there is in Salt Lake. The unit feels brand new, and the stainless steel appliances, wood floors, high ceilings and modern, simple design make for a beautiful place to call home. The communal areas are also stunning, with a great pool and hot tub, outdoor grills, clean and updated gym, golf simulator and lounge. The building feels extremely safe and secure (you need a fob for all points of entry), especially in the parking garages, which are well lit and always have plenty of open spots. Encore has a diverse mix of tenants, ranging from young singles to families, and it’s apparent that most all tenants are successful, career-oriented professionals. My apartment view overlooks the pool and grill area, where I consistently see people using the great amenities which makes for a fun and social environment. There is definitely a shared feeling of pride among those who are fortune enough to call Encore home, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for the best apartment there is in downtown Salt Lake!
Beautiful building, beautifully maintained by the Wasatch A-team. Then the building sold and Alliance took over management and maintenance. Building getting dirtier by the day. Unresponsive office personnel. Tenant violations, mattresses in hallways, stealing gym equipment, bicycle theft. If you work from home the internet is appalling, just fails to work at times during the day. With the A team we had one woman who meticulously kept the whole building spit-spot. With the C- team we've been through two individuals, who being nice people, haven't any clue how to clean slate floors, the gym, the elevator, etc. I've worked in many professional buildings in downtown Dallas with ten times the traffic we have at Encore able to keep an impeccably clean appearance. Don't understand the lack of standards nor the lack of initiative to research and improve.
I didn't know this when I moved in, but the garbage collections for the stores across the stress are quite common (4-5 times a week). They're usually very early and surprising loud. Think back-up beeping from a large truck plus a lot of "dummmmm dump" from the trucks unloading the trash. No smell but it would have been nice if they informed the people on the East side of the building. Guess I'll be hearing this for 1.5 years given my lease. Le Sigh. On a note on trash, maybe its because people are just moving in, but I keep finding trash in the hallways over the weekends (which can be smelly). They have a trash collection service (a perk, that you're not allowed to opt out of - & they've increased it incrementally so don't be surprised if you're rent goes up juuuust a little bit every few months) where people pick up your garbage on the weekday. One of those trash valets as you would say. But they skip the weekends...so when people leave they're trash out on Friday night...it stays there all weekend until late Monday night. If you have one of those neighbors...good luck. Also, don't live on the South side of the building unless you want to hear the Trax all night. If you haven't lived that close to Trax, I suggest you don't try it.
Moved in in December. Expect a lot of maintenance calls. So far I think every unit had to update their washer/dryer because they didn't install it right. Something about them bumping into each other if you use both of them at once. They also had to have people install water measure systems, etc. For my apartment, I had a lot of cabinet issues (hinges coming loose, paint where it shouldn't be, etc). You would think all would be complete for a something so new.
It may look pretty nice, but once you start living, you'll find out a lot of the things breaking down
5th floor is still unfinished. They said it would be by the time I moved in. Been 2 months now & they still haven't addressed it. Also, I found it pretty unethical that they started tacking on hidden fees after I moved in with my wife. Oh! We didn't mentioned but we're increasing your rent for (unreal reason here).
Pros: Looks great from the outside. Has a heated pool, and grills (but do not work yet). Gym is a little nicer than most apartments. Great walking score. Nice views from some units. Trash pick-up outside your door (also not working yet). Cons: - Internet speed is 8MB/s, was promised 20Mb/s. All I've spoken to in building have the same issue. So no hope of using Netflix, Hulu, FaceTime, HBO Go, etc. Can barely surf the web. So if any of these applications are important to you, Keep looking. Will update if anything changes.
