Tucson is a lively oasis in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, surrounded by numerous mountain ranges. The city of Tucson is as scenic as it gets, seeing as it’s surrounded by beautiful nature preserves and mountainous terrain, including Saguaro National Park, Mount Lemmon, and Tucson Mountain Park – making it an excellent place for renters who love mountain biking, hiking, camping, and rock climbing.
The University of Arizona is just a few blocks from Downtown Tucson, and the more than 40,000 students enrolled at the university contribute to the city’s eclectic arts, entertainment, and nightlife scenes. Downtown Tucson has undergone major renovations since the early 2000s, blossoming into a thriving hub of activity for residents and visitors alike.
The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base lies near the center of the city, and is one of Tucson’s biggest employers for armed service personnel and civilians alike.

Property Ratings at Equinox on Columbus
Zero help from staff. Promises to help that always fall through. Poor communication, office workers come in late and leave early. Raising rent every year to live in the slums. Holes in my home from attempts to repair electrical issues. Hot tub has been cold for two years. Homeless people wandering through the parking lots every night. ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES MY GOD IM GOING INSANE I HATE THIS PLACE.
This place is disgusting, the grass is all dead, there is nowhere to park because of the staff taking up parking spaces paid for by residents, repairs are not done same-month, the front office staff are not attentive and at times are disrespectful to their residents. I have lived here over 10 years and this is my last year.
I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and although they are undergoing renovation (new roof/new paint for exterior buildings), the staff, especially Angela, is wonderful and quickly resolved my noise issues (neighbor bought large surround-sound system and cranked to highest volume). I've lived at several other apartment complexes and am thrilled with the staff, location and quality of my apartment. Would highly recommend this complex!
Going through a pandemic and a recession? Seems like a good time to raise rent prices. The apt is nice but management are vultures.
New owners have no manners nor customer service skill the young lady at the office treats people like trash and the owners seem to be some real unfriendly people
This Complex is no where near what it looks like in the pictures. It is also very poorly ran!! First month of living there had a roach problem, like 5-10 everyday found. Secondly, my AC was out in the dead of summer and they didn't fix it for weeks. You can never talk to someone in the office let alone get face to face with anyone that works there. Not worth it at all!!
I love my apartment and the staff is great when I call for a maintenance problem the issue is fixed quickly all the staff are great. I have great neighbors and it is always quiet here. I have never any bugs. I have read other reviews and never had any of the problems they have talked and I have lived here for 4 years
I lived in this tormented complex because it was referred to me by a resident who was living there. Because of ill repairs done by so called maintenace people on property, I had to contact the office almost daily to get any answers. Excuse of a manager who won't follow through on requests or complaints. There are better apartments in the area!!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! This place sucks!!! The price for rent does not make up for how terrible this place is, you will hate your life and everyone here within a week of moving. Where do I even of my next door neighbors is a drug dealer and is constantly dealing drugs right in front of my door or next to my car. In addition he smokes in front of my door, and it comes straight into my apartment. If you want to stay out of your neighbor's lives that is not possible here. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING!!!! I know more about my neighbors than I have ever wanted, like the fact that there are two year old kids around drugs constantly. Which these kids are running back and forth in the apartment, banging on the walls, and are up until one in the morning. Or you will find kids jumping on your car with the parents near by doing nothing about it. More damage has been done to my car here in the past two years than in the 10 years I have own it. Police officers have come several times to the apartment, and the complex due to drug deals, vandalism, shootings, fights, and so forth... Whenever someone knocks on my door at three in the morning it is either a cop or a person looking for drugs. But that is not it, my downstairs neighbor smokes inside her apartment and the smoke comes through the pipes into my apartment, IT LITERALLY SMELLS LIKE SOMEONE IS SMOKING A PACK OF CIGARETTES INSIDE MY APARTMENT!!!! There are dogs and cats running loose throughout the apartment complex because management does not care, and the owners of the animals do not know how to train their animals. My other neighbor had six dogs in his tiny apartment, I love animals, but his apartment smelled of urine and poop. Oh! and if you think it is safe because of the lighting that is around the apartment, THINK AGAIN, I have lost count of how many lights have been smashed into or broken down, or rocks thrown at them. IT IS NOT SAFE! DO NOT MOVE HERE, you will be better off living anywhere but here!
Where do you even begin with a place that takes 4 months to do repairs, is infested with bugs, giant predatory birds, drug addicts and dealers? You don't.
