Escondido Apartments

The Escondido has exactly what I want and need, and there are stores and restaurants nearby all within walking distance. Also, there is a wonderful dog park within close proximity. The community is an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful place. Everything is so beautiful that it almost feels like a resort. The office staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. It could not be better located and is amidst a lot of shopping, restaurants, transportation and schools. They offer amenities that most communities do not. The Apartment manager, Chelsea, took her time to make sure that I had the home I wanted as well as needed. By her being empathetic to my needs, I felt as if we had connected, building a working relationship I could trust. And her staff has proven excellence. Thus The Escondido Apartments are a unique oasis that I recommend to all.

We (my wife & i) have Lived here since it opened in November 2015 (writing this in December of 2023). In those eight years, the staff has had some turnover, but all of the staff who have ever worked here have been fabulous. It is a great complex in a larger, master-planned apartments community with a pond inside a park that also contains a dog-park, walking path, and lots of room. The apartments themselves are great with good layouts, and the maintenance is responsive, the office helpful, and there are seasonal events to enjoy. They are expensive, but worth every penny for what You get. We Love it here!

Easy access to the kitchen from the back yard, covered parking, co-operative staff, quite neighborhood, the list is endless. Definitely recommend if you are looking a new place for your family.

Its a perfect home for a newly married couple, the master bed is huge and we love the backyard. The neighborhood is very peaceful, the staff very co-operative and the park an added advantage if you are an active person. Overall we love the place!

Management is very friendly and addresses any concerns quickly. The property is well kept. Nice quiet area. Actual apartments in very clean and up to date with beautiful countertops and hardwood floors. Pool area is well kept and absolutely beautiful.

My wife and I have been living here since 2017. We enjoy the view of the vast open sod farm's field to the west of us. It avails us some swell natural scenes the whole year round. Our apartment's central unit is efficient, summer and winter. We consider that a definite plus. The friendly staff of Chelsee, Heavenlly Gloria and Jesús, are professional and reliable. Work requests are attended to in a prompt and courteous manner. There's also that well maintained park where we've enjoyed many pleasurable walks since arriving here. While on our walks, we've been surprised to see woodpeckers doing what woodpeckers do on more than one occasion. On another one of our walks we came upon a tree out along the tree line that was blanketed with butterflies. We thought they probably were migrant monarchs taking a break from their trek to catch their breath. Recently a fountain was added to the pond in the park and it's lit up in changing colors at night. This is a good place to call home.

I have been here a little under a year and this has been a great experience. Both management and maitaince are amazing, the apartments are very nice and well kept and not to mention they are dog friendly . A Very quite and nice complex! 100% recommend!

Very quiet and well kept property. I've always felt safe as well. My favorite part about living here is the huge park across the street!

I have lived at Escondido for a little over 2 years, and it has been nothing short of exceptional. Work orders are handled promptly and with quality service. They even came and installed a specific faucet that I purchased myself! The property manager, Chelsee, is so kind and eager to help with anything that tenants may need. Rates are reasonable compared to places of a similar quality in LBK. Definitely recommend!

This complex is conveniently located to local grocery stores, pharmacies, shopping centers, and it is not far from TX Tech campus. The Escondido staff respond to emails promptly and are always friendly. It is an easy place to have a dog because it is located next to a nice park.

I have been here over a year and love it!!! I’ve never had an issue. Management is always quick to handle any issue I have with my apartment and have been nothing but nice. It’s a clean and quiet complex and the insides of the apartments are very nice.

It’s excellent because they have great staff! They have a great park and pool and nice apartments.

We love living here at Escondido Apartments! We recently renewed our lease not to long ago because it was such an easy decision for us to stay!- You can tell that Chelsea and the rest of the staff are very caring about their tenants and we couldn't be more grateful for everything offered here!

Genuinely awful experience. Incredibly overpriced, poor communication from the front office. Maintenance would frequently unlock my door and walk in on me without knocking. I was repeatedly accused of smoking in my apartment when I have never smoked in my life because my neighbor was smoking and the staff was too incompetent to do their due diligence and investigate units around me (I once was accused of smoking in my apartment a month after I had moved out most of my items and was living with my new apartment with my partner, so I hadn't even been in the apartment for a month.) They do not salt the stairs when it is icy, even when I have complained multiple times. I slipped on ice on my stairs on two separate occasions, and my partner slipped once and gashed his leg open. After I moved out, they charged me to replace my carpet, blaming my pet, despite the fact that I both paid to get the apartment steam cleaned multiple times to make sure it was in perfect condition and that I paid a security deposit, a pet deposit, and monthly pet rent. The staff is condescending. It's not worth the price at all. I would never recommend this apartment to anyone. There's way better out there for better prices.

We love it here. We moved from Louisiana a little over a year ago and we couldn't be happier. It is nice and quiet and the staff couldn't be nicer.

This review is coming from someone who wouldn’t send a well done steak back after asking for rare. This place is horrible!!!!There are two girls in the front office who are essentially useless. They never have answers to my questions and they just say “can we call you back later” and never do. They give You completely different information than one another. The apartment itself is extremely poorly lit it’s dim and depressing. The outside is constantly covered in dog poop for two reasons A. People don’t clean up after their dogs B. Maintenance is very lazy. Their sprinkler system is constantly over flooding all of the grass area. This all stems back to horrible maintenance, when spring time came around we were the only apartment in Elm Park that didn’t have freshly cut/watered grass. All of elm park was bright and green meanwhile Escondido was dirty with dry yellow grass. Please go somewhere else, there’s other nice efficient locations within elm park.

I never complain about anything or leave bad reviews, but PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! They are extremely shady/rude/condescending and will purposely dodge your calls/e-mails if they know you are not happy. I would say at least 50 percent plus of current residents feel the exact same way. Do not give these awful people your business.

We looked at this place over the weekend as a potential contender. After a long day of finding sub standard options and feeling fairly discouraged, we happened upon Escondido Apartments. It's located in what appears to be a real up-and-coming area for Lubbock with a new shopping center, called West End, on the rise. The development group has made a clear investment in these apartments and the surrounding area. There's a spacious and beautiful park surrounding the complex that would be great for a quiet family picnic or to toss the ball around for your dog. The apartment model we looked at was gorgeous. We were blown away by the amount of space and open floor plan. The carpet is a neutral, multi-tonal color, great for masking things like our labs shedding! The backyard is quaint, but you can make it your own. We plan to create our own little mini oasis! I can't wait to use the adorable fireplace this winter. There's a great gym and pool on property. We were really impressed with Jessica who showed us around the property. She was very knowledgeable and offered a lot of information on the property and the area. Though she was very busy she was thorough to answer our questions and made us feel very welcomed. We put in our application this morning and are looking forward to making Escondido Apartments our new home.

This beautifully designed apartment community doesn't disappoint. You feel like you just stepped out of West Texas and into another tree dense sanctuary. The park across the street is worth renting here alone. The floor plans are spacious and very well thought out. The colors are complimentary to any décor and the extra precautions for saving energy are the cherry on top of the sundae. The staff is excellent. The location, spot on. Even the price is such that you feel you're getting a deal. If you want a place in Lubbock that is unique and inspiring, look no further. You can fish, put your kayak in the lake, take your mountain bike to the trails, or just go for a nice, leisure walk. I don't want to ever move!

The location is exactly what the name translates: hidden. There is a great park with trails, beautiful ponds and just a fantastic place to enjoy the peaceful serenity the nature park has to offer. The units aren't traditional apartments, but they are well-thought-out bungalow and ranch style home living. You just have to see it to experience it. Aside from everything being brand new, the windows are double-pained and it's virtually impossible to see in--so privacy and drastic reductions in air conditioning costs are a huge plus. There is so much to say about the helpful staff and the conveniences they offer.

It is a beautiful quiet place!! Escondido means "Hidden away" i am proud to have friends over to see where I leave!!!
