I will not recommend it, because the structure is made of wood, so you can hear your neighbor walking to different parts of the unit. Also, the hallways have carpet so they are always stained and smelly. Yoga gym has a permanent leak that live a mildew smell in the whole gym. Many Pitbulls pets and only two of three EV work.

Use to be good, then they sold the place and it’s terrible. Everything’s broke. No one cares. They are trying to add a 35$ parking fee per car per resident on renewal lease. It’s not a nice place. It used to be when it first open. Not one grill works they’ve been broke for months. Terrible.

We came to see the apartment, manager asked to check in and wait, in 5 minutes after us came other people, we waited 15 minutes and then she called people who came after us didn't even say us a word! Like we are not existing! I never met that much rude altitude before in any place! I'm sure it shows their altitude in everything. If you don't wanna be humiliated don't go there.

Moved here several years ago & had nothing but good things to say. Unfortunately since UDR took over they really let the place go. It infuriates me because there is so much potential for this complex.. we’ve had so many issues with poor communication & complete neglect of duties. There was a leak in our apartment BEFORE we moved in & they knew about the leak. Then decided to let us move in anyways, proceeded to tell us they had no knowledge of a leak even though we are now good friends with the previous residents that lived in this apartment & they were SHOCKED they let us move in before fixing it! It took them 3 months to fix, the the previous residents had to live with this leak for over a year. They offered for us to move out, however we JUST moved in. we paid $1,000 early transfer fee so we could move into this specific apartment, plus we pay about $1,500 more in rent because of moving from or 1 to 3 bedroom. Meaning we just spent about $4,000 just to get into this apartment.. we were running a dehumidifier in our apartment 24/7, I had to wash towels & clean the blinds, walls, trim around the walls & floors every time it rained, the leak was there for 2 hurricanes and ALL of rainy season which means it rained almost every day for 3 months. they gave us a $300 credit. and they literally replied to our worries by saying “you’re free to go if you want.” Instead of apologizing & owning up to their mistakes! Zero accountability. Again, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. the leak was not fixed before the hurricane & I have a substantial amount of evidence that the leak was never fixed before either of the hurricanes. Not only do you not take accountability, but you all are liars.

This place was so nice when I moved in, and the staff was great. Since changing to UDR, it's been completely downhill. First they provide zero communication about what's going on in the community or expectations - simple things like when the office is closed on a holiday or events (which don't happen anymore). It's also a gated community. However one of the gates has been broken for MONTHS, and many of the doors to the buildings are also broken. I guess they don't care about people's safety. The landscaping is now just burnt grass (for the small amount of grass there is) and dead shrubbery. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing and at least once a week, the valet trash people do not show up. Don't even get me started about the fire ants. Yes, it's Florida, but they are EVERYWHERE. I have to be careful where my dogs go to the bathroom because then I end up having to brush the fire ants off of them. Every email I've ever send them has been ignored plus multiple maintenance requests that were just closed without any resolution. It took them over 2 weeks to send someone to spray for ants (when the request was closed 8 business days later, it just said "called pest control" - it took pest control another 6 days to show up). They are raising my rent by 26% for my new lease. They are renting them cheaper to new residents. Great way of treating your current tenants who you might want to stay. Maybe with the increased prices, they can fix the broken gate (but not likely).

NO INSULATION at all! I live on the top floor and I can hear people's footsteps from downstairs!!! I have never experienced this in my life ( lived in 5-6 different apartments, mostly top floors) I would suggest to listen to noise when viewing this apartment. Amenities are great, but the building itself is poorly constructed, management is horrible. They won't reply back to you at all. The two staff (the only ones i see at the office) will listen to you, they are nice, but understaffed.

Access to main building from north entrance has broken door handle on exterior of building. It’s been broke for a week. Notified worker in leasing office and was told new nothing of problem. You would think somebody saw problems

DO NOT APPLY HERE I REPEAT DO NOT APPLY My application process has been HORRIFIC. I applied when the old management company had been here and they were AMAZING Abby really helped me, understood my situation and was willing to help any way possible. Sadly, the company was bought out to UDR which is literally the worst management I have ever seen in my life. I have worked in this Property Management Industry for 5 years and I have never seen a management conduct business the way this company does. Not only was I calling for weeks after the old company left, I left VARIOUS voicemails and VARIOUS emails, no response, I got a call back from a manager that does not even work at the property she comes every so often and she was not HELPFUL whatsoever. No one was able to answer any of my questions when I needed them to because no one was ever available. The phone always sounded disconnected. After TWO weeks they contacted me back and had fill out the application and told me it was the SAME exact application as the one I filled out the first time that they had just needed a digital copy of it so they sent me the link. Not only did I pay 2 application fees but I also paid an Admin Fee to the company prior. After being DENIED TWO days ago they are telling me that I will not be receiving my full refund although on the application I filled out the first time for the company prior says on Paragraph 7 that once denied after 30 days you will get the full refund. Now they are telling me that I will not be getting the full refund after them telling me that the application was the EXACT same as the first one. This place is a joke basically all they want is to take your money. I am so disappointed with this honestly, especially during hard times in the world a company does something like this to a STUDENT who is trying to get by. You all disgust me and clearly have no heart to be doing this. I have even tried contacting corporate and they sent me to the billing department, which did not assist me at all and just told me I will not be getting the full refund. This place is a JOKE. DO NOT APPLY HERE! People buy from people and this management team has been terrible.

We moved in last week and LOVE it so far! You can tell the staff really cares about creating a clean and welcoming space. The apartment itself is bright and spacious (ESPECIALLY the closets, omg), and the amenities are really great as well. I work from home, so its nice to have several spaces to go get fresh air and get some work done. A friend referred us to this place, and were so glad she did. Best apartment weve ever lived in.

Very clean and well maintain. Love the garden and landscape, I love walking around with my kids and stop to smell flowers around the apartment. The pool and clubhouse is very nice love the grill scatter for residents to do cookout. The design of this apartment is awesome, they pay attention to little details wish I appreciate.

This is the Best Apartment home I've lived in since moving to Orlando nearly five years ago. I love my apartment home and the space I have. The amenities are great and their events are second to none. The staff encourages social distance and mask wearing especially during these beautiful events. The events help you meet your neighbors at a distance. The food and crafts are very interesting and fun. Honestly the events that they have is why I decided to move here over the other two places. I was on the fence before choosing to reside here but the events captured me. I wanted to live where the rules are adhered to, you have fun, management is active when it comes to keeping the grounds and buildings lovely, pretty quiet, efficient maintenance staff, friendly neighbors and residents residents and amazing amenities. Well I found this all at Essex and I'm very happy. Just please do not allow this wonderful place fall apart like other apartment homes have!! Thank you

Essex is a beautiful community. The staff is very friendly and with it being tucked away it is a very quite area but still close to entertainment. This is exactly what I wanted! The community has many events which I love to attend and makes me feel like I have a little family.

Honestly I would keep it honest. The staff is amazing they go above and beyond and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. They dont treat this like a job but more like a experience and they give you the best experience.

Everything here is beautiful! Brand new property and amenities. There was a small issue early on due to the construction team, but the office team handled the situation and has since fixed it. Highly recommend this property!
