The family-friendly neighborhood of Prestonwood is located in Far North Dallas. This is the picture-perfect suburban community, complete with top-rated schools, parks with walking trails and playgrounds, elegant homes on manicured lawns, and convenient to everything. Reach Downtown Dallas in roughly 30 minutes, or head west to Carrollton or southeast to Richardson in about 10.
Residents enjoy a close-knit community complete with golf courses, such as the Clubs of Prestonwood and Bent Tree Country Club. Pet owners appreciate the Wagging Tail Dog Park, while parents enjoy having Keller Springs Park nearby. Residents don't have to travel far for shopping and dining, either, with a wide variety of restaurants along Montfort Drive and Belt Line Road. Prestonwood Place, a large outdoor shopping plaza, features several shops and restaurants. For groceries, the neighborhood offers a Whole Foods Market, while nearby Pepper Square features a Tom Thumb.

If you rent there, they automatically sign you up for a credit reporting service that costs an extra $10 a month. This is buried in lease addenda (about the seventh of those), and that fee is in small print in a bullet point in the middle of a page of text. What it also says in small print is that it is UP TO YOU TO OPT OUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY THIS. How about letting people opt IN if they want to pay this garbage fee and otherwise keeping junk charges off tenants' rent bills??? Unsavory business practice!! I did opt out, but of course only after having found the junk charge on a rent bill. The opt out process took me more than 15 minutes, because I had to first create an account with that service and give them a ton of my personal information. Too bad they decided to do this, because otherwise this is a great community and the management is very dedicated towards tenants.
This complex will charge you $75 to apply and then tell you that your documents of payment stubs, bank statements are unverifiable and then not tell you why. They claim they use a third party vendor for the application and cannot provide answers. I am a home owner with a perfect payment history turning home into rental and downsize.
This townhome complex will try to squeeze every penny out of you when you move put. They will charge you to paint the entire residence even if it was painted 1 year ago. They will send you to collections for charges that are not accurate and then fail to provide any proof they are accurate.
Lived there 1.5 years. Guests cars were robbed and staff did not care. Onsight "courtesy officer" is a joke. No guest parking anywhere but by the pool. Dog poop everywhere--no one picks up after their pets. The office staff has no idea what they are doing. When we moved in they forgot to charge us nearly $250 and didn't tell us until after we had lived there over a month. They water heater broke, and flooded our walls leaving mold. After replacing our walls (poorly) we continued to have mold. After cleaning the place to nearly spotless at moveout, they claimed we did not and charged $200. But their system is "down" so they cannot provide proof that cleaning was needed. Neighborhood is only going down. During our last month there, a lady was MURDERED 20 ft from our window in the walmart parking lot. We heard everything.
I would not recommend this property at all - the office staff is a complete mess and are untrustworthy. They are more of a headache to deal with than what it is worth. You can find better value elsewhere and avoid their crazy staff.

I went for a tour last week and the first thing I noticed was the great and friendly management. The apartments looked very clean. All the appliances are very nice and it looks like a very good place to live
