Property Ratings at Estates at Canyon Ridge
I cannot say enough good things about this place. The office staff is absolutely amazing. The apartments are perfect. The people are nice. If I were not moving out of state there is no way I would be moving.
We relocated from Dallas to San Antonio TX. the apartments appear to look nice & the surrounding grounds. Beware they are pet-friendly but do not control the pet clean up there are never any doggy bags for poo & they do not clean the dog area but once a week. They do not check to see if pets have their shots our little dogs got sick several times from the other animals we stopped taking them to the dog area. the neighbors would bring their animals to our patio & front door to do their business & not pick up their animals mess we complained to office nothing was done. The trash service is horrible most times they do not pick up all trash & the service they use will not pick up large items nor heavy trash & they give you these very small trash cans that only fold one bag of trash. We lived downstairs & our neighbors upstairs each weighed over 200LBs & they would constantly pound on the floor when walking. We would turn our TV up to drowned out the noise then they would come downstairs banging on our door telling us we were too loud. We constantly complained about the neighbors to security which did nothing because they had become friends. When I reported security to the office they did nothing to resolve the issue & our neighbors knowing that there heavy pounding bothered us made it a point to pound even louder & they would also have friends come over with their kids & run up & down the apartment it was a total nightmare!.We could not get out of the lease without paying a huge amount of money the office will not work with you at all!. When we were able to move out after our lease was over we had the full apartment cleaned from top to bottom. We requested a walk through with manager who kept putting us off for days & once we did walk the apartment the manager picked at everything. We cleaned the stove & frig it looked brand new but they still charged us a cleaning fee. This place brags on kid friendly well can't tell you how many times while at the pool kids go unattended while parents drink & party. Kids run wild jumping off the sides of the pool parents do nothing to stop them if your looking for a relaxing day at the pool better forget it because that's a daycare drop off for parents & alot of them are single parents.I am in the mortgage industry & when clients ask about renting this is the one place I tell them you do not want to rent from.
The layout of the apartment is amazing, and the surrounding area is beautiful. I love the fact that I have an attached garage and modern fixtures within the apartment.
I like it here! I've lived in both a first floor 2br/2ba and second floor 3br/2ba here Pros: -Great location- This is an excellent area of San Antonio. There are tons of stores close by and there is easy access to the highways. The Stone Oak area is also really safe, has great schools, and there's a nice park close by. -Updated Apartments- They're not brand new, but the bathrooms and kitchens are really nice- those are the two rooms I always care about the most when looking for an apartment. The appliances aren't stainless steel and top-of-the-line but they're really nice. Most of the master bathrooms have larger tubs which is nice. -Recently Repainted exterior- they just finished re-painting the exteriors of all the apartments, and it looks really great. -Pet friendly -"Wood floors"- They're not real wood floors, but they're nice. They're mostly in the halls, living room, and dining area. The bedrooms have a carpet that hides stains well. -Decent Management- The management company changed around 11/2014. Both the old and new companies have done a pretty good job. They respond fairly quickly to maintenece requests, and are friendly. -The Pool- Love the pool! The new management company did a good job of cleaning it because it used to be beautiful, but kind of gross. Now it looks amazing and clean and has new pool chairs. There are two grills out there and plenty of tables if you like to grill. It really feels like a pool area at a nice resort- it's as gorgeous in real life as it is in the pictures. -Tanning Beds- there are two tanning beds available here- I don't use them, but I think it's pretty cool -The Gym- it's pretty standard as far as apartment gyms go- kind of small, but serves its purpose and is kept clean. It's open 24 hours a day. -Parking- there is ample parking for you and your guests and each apartment has a garage which is great. -Patios- each apartment has some sort of patio or balcony -fireplace- I'm not sure if every floor plan has one, but I'm a huge fan of them Cons: Noise- not a noisy neighborhood, but if you live on the bottom floor you can hear EVERYTHING upstairs. Even if the people upstairs are doing very normal things, like simply walking you'll hear them. You can sometimes hear your next door neighbors too. Valet Trash- sounds convenient, but its not that great- no dumpster available and no large trash can to put your trash on days when they don't pick up.
