Property Ratings at Estling Village
Maintenance? I'm not really sure what they do to maintain the apartments around here. The overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired, with noticeable stains on the walls and mystery stains on carpet that indicate a neglect of regular cleaning. Similarly, the bathroom is in need of attention, with visible staining and grime in the tiles and fixtures. I highly recommend making sure you have your tetanus shots up to date before moving in here.
I was a resident at Estling Village for the past 11 months. These units might look nice, but they're far from "luxury" and the management company, Shamco, is the absolute worst company to deal with. (Just ask any resident in the community.) Nothing about this community and management company is luxury in any way. For me, my trouble started right away when I noticed the apartment was far from move-in ready. Issues included: - There were child protective bars on the window blocking all natural light from going in which it took them 4 MONTHS to rectify - Kitchen was dirty with grease stains everywhere - The carpets had stains and smelled awful - Numerous light fixtures were dirty and had stains - There was dry paint and scratching all over the floors - There were crayon and dirt marks on the several walls Shamco never stepped up to resolve these issues (despite reporting them), so I was left responsible dealing with it myself. Then when I moved out, Shamco was at it again. They screwed me over forcing me to pay another full month of rent because they somehow needed 4 weeks to prepare the apartment for a new tenant. And then on top of that, they had the nerve to try to charge me $2000 for unspecified "excessive grease marks" (ironic - given the move the condition) and to "replace 3 light fixtures" in the unit. However, the apartment was professionally deep cleaned after move out and then cleaned by myself, which I inspected and noted no grease anywhere. Furthermore, the light fixtures were 100% operational and in the same identical condition to when I moved in. I definitely can't recommend Estling Village or any property from Shamco. Most residents feel the same. You've been warned.
I have truly enjoyed living here. My husband and I recently had to relocate but loved everything about this place. It is so convenient to downtown Denville and transportation to the city. If you are thinking about it, just do it! This place is impeccable and just love the property managers, Gail and Jackie. They really take care of you!
while the grounds are nice - they fail to tell you about the constant - and I mean constant train noise all day and all night. it's horrible. they should honestly pay you to live here and it's directly in back of the building. terrible.
Close by to everything! Apartments are beautiful and the grounds are kept so clean! Armand, the super, is always there to help out and always comes so quick! Great place to live! Everyone is super friendly!
Great place to live. Clean, friendly and if you ever need anything, the super Armand will be here in a flash. That’s rare. Oh and so many dogs!!!
