The Pittsfield Lodi neighborhood begins along the southwest side of Downtown Ann Arbor and extends westward Highway 52. This large area includes part of the Pittsfield Charter Township and the Ann Arbor Municipal Airport. It is very close to Oak Valley Center, Briarwood Mall, the University of Michigan-South Campus, and Michigan Stadium – a historic football stadium, nicknamed the “Big House,” is home to the Michigan Wolverines.
When looking at Ann Arbor apartments, be sure to check out the Pittsfield Lodi area – it is a beautiful neighborhood, filled with mature trees and quiet lanes. And with such fast access to downtown, the university, the airport, Pittsfield Lodi is deceptively peaceful.

Property Ratings at Evergreen
PSA: Do not live in EVERGREEN APARTMENTS off Packard. Moved in the first time in 2015. Terrible customer service. Crappy living space. Bad neighbors. Lots of car theft, and I moved out and never got word on my security deposit until 2 months later. I had been calling for weeks and they said they will call me back but they failed to follow through in a timely manner. If you want your deposit back, don't live in McKinley apartments. It's a terrible place to live. Moved back in a year later and new management, still terrible. Residents break the front door locks, maintenance is often lazy, our first months rent got stolen from the dropbox in the office and forged, and we are still trying to get our money back. I often wonder who really lives here, because half the people wait at the front door for someone to let them in, and never have keys. There are no posted laundry room rules, so people will use up all the washers in the building, it feels as if management fails to follow through, and I'm pretty sure none of the cameras work in any of the buildings. I've had friends who had fleas, mold, and mushrooms in their apartments, and the bottom floor has water damage that they won't fix as well. Do not live here. It's great if you want to ambulance/police/fire truck watch, or if you want to hear loud arguments in the parking lot!
The rent is way over priced, you pay for heating, electricity, a sewer/trash fee, and a service fee that toss on at least an extra $50-75 each month minimum. Maintenance is so-so, staff are bad and responding to issues, groundwork is nice but not always at good times, bad security system in place (only cheap cameras, no longer a gated community), smells like smoke & trash in the hallways, laundry system is designed to leave you short changed due to it all being run through your phone and in increments of $5 at a time to add to your account. RENT IS NOT PRO-RATED AT THE END OF YOUR LAST BILL. YOU'LL BE CHARGED THE WHOLE MONTH IF YOU DON'T BRING THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION
The apartment building that I lived in had a large, sticky stain on the carpet which was not fixed for at least 6 months...Looked like a dead body stain, although nobody was actually killed there...that I know of. Police/fire trucks come through at least 1-2 times week. During the busier weeks it can be 3-4 times.
Evergreen is a terrific place to stay yet they have room for improvement towards more modern features. I loved that they were timely maintainence fixes but I wish there weren't so many. Overall I enjoyed my first experience living on my own at Evergreen!
