Horrible experience…. The neighborhood and unit layout were nice. However, I rented for 1 year (stayed for 10 months) while house hunting. After happily paying the full 12 months as agreed and turning over the unit, they took my entire security deposit and tried to get more. I had to pursue them in court and even two years after that I’m still sorting this out. They do not want to pay a dime towards normal costs of turning over a unit. Do your due diligence and read reviews regarding returning security deposits. Very disappointed by how this all ended because the initial experience was good for what we needed at the time. The property manager even lied in court and stated that my cabinets were new. I had documentation of them being in such bad shape that they offered to come and paint the insides. I opted to use liners since I knew we wouldn’t be there long. If you decide to ignore reviews or are already there, take a lot of pictures and video when you move in and out!!!!!!
Horrible place to live. They will keep the security deposit. They allow anyone to move there. Keep your car doors locked. Worst place in the area.
This community is beautiful. The apartments are roomy, the clubhouse is gorgeous and the general appeal of the whole community is very pretty. Everyone in the leasing office is super helpful and friendly. Laura made us feel welcomed and was very thorough in explaining everything!
I toured this community last week with Laura! Especially after seeing some of the other local rental communities, I can say this one is the best in the area. Spacious units, beautiful clubhouse, huge pool and friendly staff. We’ll be back!
This use to be a great property with management that were friendly and communicated well. Now it is awful and anyone wishing to rent from here will not be pleased. The rent is much higher then the majority of other properties within the area. We have been here for over two years and we will not continue to do so at the end of our lease agreement.
I would not move in. Between all the false information given to us at move in and the ridiculous move out charges, plan to spend hundreds of dollar more than you would anywheres else. My husband and I are a military family and have moved six times in five years all dealing with different apartment complexes, never once have we been charged a painting and cleaning fee. Yes, we were charged a painting fee for them to repaint the apartment, that alone was over 800 dollars. Oh and as life isn't stressful enough, make sure you document and have someone sign something every time you call to have something fixed. If it isn't fixed properly It will be charged and they magically have no record of any phone calls being made about the problem in the first place. Don't waste your extra hard earned money on the secured entrance either, it's not actually secure. If it breaks you can call as many times as you want it will not be fixed. So the extra amount you pay for the secured entrance is A bunch of bull. Just drive through the complex it's beautiful but do you see how many empty spots there are, take the hint. Do not waste your money.
Not only are the properties dated the management is unbelievably rude. If you are looking for a well kept and up-to-date apartment or town house look elsewhere. Additionally, they will never give you your security deposit back even if it is kept in the same condition as when purchased. Buyers beware.
Although we enjoyed living close to everything and in a big space for our large family, we were extremely unhappy for the last year we lived there. We recently moved out. Everything we had read about them making up reasons to keep your full security deposit (plus charge you extra!) turned out to be true. They will say "don't worry about this or that" but won't put that in writing (even if you ask them to)..then keep your security. If you have even ONE small stain on carpet, they are replacing the entire floor (all upstairs or all downstairs). I handed over my keys (at my unit) and they were conveniently left on the counter, then I get email asking me when I'm returning keys. I was told I had to come back to take care of a few things and she would give me a few days (due to work, etc...) then I got charged rent for all those days. She denied saying that and getting the keys....the list goes on. If you have children, they aren't allowed to play in the yard, driveway, street or anywhere except the TINY little playground by the clubhouse. It looks nice but I certainly did NOT feel like I was living in luxury, which is interesting considering they advertise "luxury living." Also, the utility bills are astronomical. We were told by a HVAC specialist (we were forced to call because maintenance came out a dozen times for A/C) that the compressors are too small for the units (against code now, but not when they were built) and there is no way to keep the end units cool on very hot days. Can't speak for the other units. Our bill was over $400/mth July/Aug
My family has been a tenant for almost 10 years. This development is one of the most pleasant places to rent apartment. The most deserved praise is for the landscaping and its maintenance as well as the location wich is convenient for any logistical point (the best in the area). As of 2016 we've seen many management teams have been alternating each other along the ten years and each trying their best. And I would like to express my concern about disturbance and ridiculous service the latest management team brought to "our" development. And my observation is based on the shared opinions of many long-term tenants. Without unnecessary details in format of this review I'd definitely recommend this development as a nice place to live but be ready for inadequacy of modern business - corporate office trying to make changes on local sites and often achieves exactly the opposite. I hope "our" community will survive the current wave of rude and inefficient management.
I am a tenant that has lived in this community for over 10 years. As such I have seen the growth and development of this neighborhood. I have had many more great experiences than not. I love the walking path, fitness center, swimming pool and pleasant guest and staff! There is a continued effort for quality improvement and a willingness from management to provide a wholesome family setting. With regard to maintenance, they are prompt, professional and flexible in response to living and common area issues. The newest group of property managers and staff are caring polite and knowledgeable. In summary, there are very few communities in Atlantic County, that offer the reasonable leasing cost with a peaceful, clean and quiet environment!
Verified Toxic Mold Infestation and numerous medical problems from exposure. Complete negligence, bordering on criminal. On top of this problem, we had two attempted break-ins, a fire, two floods from a washing machine in the unit above( part of the mold situation ), and problems with dog feces constantly. I lost ALL of my belongings, a car, and my health to their negligence. 3 Other tenants (families ) have complained of similar health problems and 2 of them moved out and broke their lease due to them. They don't allow enough characters on here for me to fully explain the whole situation. if you search around, you will see tons of complaints about them trying to keep your deposit even if your unit is in great condition. They did me one even dirtier, they sent me a $14,000 bill for removal of my belongings, new carpet, paint, and future rent for breaking my lease. The carpet had 1 single stain from me, but was destroyed by the two floods, the walls were in good condition still. Not to mentioned they have been nasty about the whole situation and haven't properly fixed the mold situation, to my knowledge, after 4 months. When we had the fire, they left the jagged damaged parts of the siding on the side of the building for months after, and the power wire going to the AC Compressor that started the fire , was replaced by their regular maintenance guy who is too dull to fix simple problems, so there is absolutely zero chance that he is an electrician. It goes on and on.. please do yourself a favor and never set foot on this property.
Location, location, location! Community is located across from major retail strip mall, and next to the Hamilton Mall. Easy access to the Atlantic City Expressway and other major highways. Bus service at the front entrance to development. Timber Glen is clean and quiet. Pets are welcome in the community, if your landlord will allow. The pool is HUGE, guarded, and clean! Trash is picked up twice a week, the community is just awesome!! I live in a one bedroom that has a loft area. There are two and three bedroom units. One assigned parking spot, but plenty of visitor spots. Walking path is well lit and circles the development. Plenty of trees and wildlife. Just a wonderful community in a great location!
