Property Ratings at Fair Oaks Apartment Homes
You won't regret renting here! Especially if you appreciate: 1. A friendly, helpful staff 2. Beautiful scenery / courtyard (with a picnic table & grilling area) -- feels like a small, ivy-covered college campus -- very well-maintained 3. Great location...Very convenient to both downtown & Uptown (along the #18 bus route between downtown & not sure where!) 4. Great location...Very convenient to both I-94 and I-35W 5. Parks nearby ****** Not everything is perfect! Here are the only drawbacks: 1. Parking can sometimes be difficult on Friday eves, Saturdays & Sundays (due to the museum and children's theater)...The most I've had to walk is about a block...So, still not a big deal. Annoying when you have groceries, though. 1.5.....Garage parking has a long waiting list (the last I knew)....and the spaces are TIGHT! Hasn't been an issue for me to not have a parking space, though... 2. Cell reception is not very good (I've had both AT&T and Verizon and sometimes calls get dropped. Guests who've been over, though, haven't had issues, so maybe it's just me!) .....Can't think of anything else! OH...MORE GOOD.... ** Laundry areas always clean and typically available (Sunday nights can be tricky, as anywhere!) ** Storage locker area is clean & well-kept (All were taken in my building, so had to find one in the next building over...no big deal...it's storage, after all!) ALL-IN-ALL... A great place to live! It's quiet and respectful. My neighbors (after many years) have all been nice (except one, years ago, who didn't last long...) You'll like it here! ** AGAIN...THE STAFF IS AMAZING!! **
The building is old with some windows that don't open and AC which needs to be installed but this is easily a place to fall in love with. Staff and maintenance are responsive and kind and there is so much to fall in love with here. The red brick ivy is inviting and something I like showing off to friends. I'll take walks to spot rabbits and butterflies with them in the courtyard. When I work out, Arnold Schwarzenegger posters motivate me to keep going as well. Can't recommend enough!
I lived in fair oaks apartments for more than one year is a beautiful place and the staff is a 10. the pictures that you can see are the real pictures and you can have underground parking wich is very convenient in winter time. do not hesitate to look this place is a 10.
Fair Oaks has it all, classic old buildings, close to downtown and uptown, and quiet even though it's in the heart of the city. There are tons of restaurants in the neighborhood, you don't even have to drive. The building managers, maintenance crew, and office staff and absolutely wonderful and always helpful. I have loved living here and have for over two years.
Couldn't be happier with our apartment in the Fair Oaks complex. Lots of windows, hardwood floors, and beautiful architecture. The courtyard, in particular, is spectacular. The staff is very nice and responsive. The complex is right across the street from the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, near numerous bus lines, three blocks from "Eat Street" and several blocks south of of downtown. The neighborhood--based on my personal experience--is pleasant and quite safe. Only a couple caveats: no dishwashers, no pets (understandable, given the hardwood floors), and the buildings are quite old with the attendant "old apartment" problems (clanking radiators, peeling paint, etc.). Again, however, the staff is incredibly responsive and will address such problems efficiently and expeditiously.
This classic collection of six pre war buildings is located close to downtown and across the street from the art institute. The vine covered walls are topped with terracotta french tiles and create a gated inner courtyard. Residents are encouraged to create garden spaces and join, at their option, the gardening group. Each unique floorplan has original hardwood floors, deep nine inch window sils, and 8.5 foot ceilings. The boyfriend, not included, loves the wonderful water pressure in the shower, which is amazing given that the apartment is located on the top floor. Don't miss this gem!
The Fair Oaks Apartments are a wonderful place to live, the staff is friendly and responsive, the building is beautiful and you couldn't ask for a better place to live in Minneapolis. Across the street from the MIA, a few blocks from eat street and even within walking distance of Nicollet Mall. I loved it there. The staff regularly hosts grill outs and get-togethers to foster a friendlier community. Really I am sad to go. the only complaint I have is the no Pets policy which could be considered a plus for some. Amazing place, I really can't say enough. Check out the parking before signing up for it. I have a tiny car so I had no problems but if you have a truck or SUV it is hard to fit into most of the spots. They have extra large ones that cost more. That said the Garage is well maintained and secure so on the whole I would say parking was a good value.
