Located south of Detroit, Downriver refers to a vast collection of cities and townships nestled alongside the western banks of the Detroit River. Among the 18 communities considered to be part of Downriver are Taylor, Romulus, Allen Park, Southgate, and Trenton.
Northern Downriver communities tend to be more suburban whereas the southern Downriver communities are more rural. Residents throughout the region enjoy the area’s ample opportunities for outdoor recreation along the river, including activities like fishing, boating, and birdwatching, in addition to hiking the extensive network of trails in the area. Downriver is especially popular among commuters for its proximity to Downtown Detroit and multiple major highways.

Property Ratings at Fairlane
This place is not a place you should move to. Management in the office is rude and disrespectful. They hardly have any updated apartments. What you see online is not the apartments you get. Lived here for 8 years and haven’t done a single update. Unless they absolutely had to due to sewage pip breaking. Rent is astronomical for what you get. And now they are also charging water and sewage fees

the people here are lovely, maintenance is excellent, the ground is kept clean friendly neighbors, and the responsive phone is quick, the one thing is that our basement looks like a dungeon
Where do I start???? No power in hallway. Fuses pop in kitchen whenever you plug ANYTHING in the bathroom. Basement looks like a horror film. Blinds break very easily. Hallways are rarely clean. Hallway smells like a trap house. Laundry facilities barely work. Power goes out anytime the wind blows hard. Pool may or may not be open during the summer. AWESOME MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT!!!!!!!! Maintenance tries their best to do with the very little supplies they may have. Grounds are kept neatly.
I love fairlane apartments from the staff to the property. They have the best agents (Diamond) was really helpful an knowledgeable. The maintenance man Tony is a great work he’s very nice an quick with fixing anything needed to be fix. Not to mention is very quite an clean environment to live in.
I love it here! Apt is affordable and very cute. Has a nice pool. They clean grounds everyday halls and basement are well kepted. And the management and staff are always friendly. I will recommend to my friends.

This is a great place to live! the only place that I know of that offers the amenities they have at the price they're offering them. I think it's great that you can have your own washer and dryer, and also use their on site laundry if you need to. They have a pool, it's not huge, but it serves it's purpose. I honestly can't think of a better place for someone who is looking to get out on their own and stick to a budget.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on your good experience @ Fairlane. We will share with staff and I know they appreciate you taking the time to post.
This building is great and the location is perfect, the only down side if the people that work in the office are jerks. Not all of them, just a few in particular. And I hate the fact that maintenance and the building facility come into the apartments often. I understand its their building but I pay good money to have a bit of privacy.
Very stylish apartments. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family. I personally plan on moving to Taylor soon this year and me and my spouse both decided this would a great place for us to live (first time getting a place together)
