Been living here for a year and some change. I have been telling them about the roaches in my apartment and since I've lived here they only came once. They maintenance is lazy, the office workers are rude, and they are money greedy. It's over priced. They get one star because of the quite neighbors and no one bothers you. Other than that the place sucks and its definitely over priced.
This place is complete garbage and they know it but don’t care once you’ve signed the lease. My apartment was dirty upon move in, this place is infested with roaches and there’s always something wrong with the appliances here yet they’ll find any short cut to avoid replacing it. Expect to wait over a month for any repairs to be done because the office ignores calls for weeks at time.
The door to our lobby has had a broken hinge or something for awhile now. This prevents the door from closing on its own and is often left wide open. I first reached out to maintenance about the problem on 06/21 after the door had been broken for weeks. It is not 10/05 and the issue has not been fixed. Today, I reached out for the third time at least. I attached a video showing the 50+ dead lantern flies lying on the floor in the lobby along with the trash and other debris that is very really cleaned up. The lady who answered my complaint explained that they are both short staffed and are having a hard time finding the replacement part to fix the door. This problem has persisted for upwards of five months now with no end in sight. Since the door broke, our apartment has seen a significant uptick in flies and gnats. It seems like a matter of time before the lantern flies make their way in too. This is beyond out of control and I hope that prospective tenants take this issue into account before deciding to rent from Fairmont apartments.
Before moving in it seemed like a nice complex with decent people running it. After signing however, you're nothing but a source of revenue. on day 1 i came to an apartment that surely was not cleaned. As gross as it was, I let it slide and did the dirty work as it wasn't worth the trouble. What if something needs fixed? Just forget it, maintenance requests seems to get "lost" as no one will come to take care of it and I am talking about appliances that are older than myself. I knew they weren't new but it just goes to show how little they care as soon as they have locked you into their lease. Now what about the deposit? Nope, that's also their money, they'll find a way to keep that too even if the apartment looked better than I moved in myself. I see I am not the only one with issues from living here and should have taken a hint myself, but hopefully I can help other people make a better decision than i and just stay away from this deteriorating dump.
Landlord is backing a tenant who has two German Shepherds who have attacked two dogs and killed a puppy and advising them that they are not responsible. They also have constant air conditioning issues.
I used to live in Fairmount Apartments from 2013 to 2015. It was my first and last apartment in Camp Hill after I moved from Dallas. The apartment was spacious and the staff were courteous. If I had any problems, the maintenance staff would come immediately to resolve it. The thing I absolutely loved is that they are a pet-friendly community and they have a dog park! My dogs loved it there. The community is a melting pot of various ethnicities and they are generally friendly. The community was clean and spacious. The only reason I left that apartment is because I moved to another place. But, I would highly recommend Fairmount to everyone.
Fairmount Park is a nice clean place to live! It stays clean and landscaped nicely! It is pretty close and convenient to grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants. The downfall is the fact that the pool closed and was not reopened nor will be. I feel the rent is too expensive for what is offered even though there is washer and dryer units in the 3 bedroom apartments. Parking can be tricky for people with more than one car if you live in the 3 bedroom apartments like I do. The apartments are pretty roomy and utilities are reasonable! Once again these apartments are pretty nice to live in!
