Fifteen miles east of Portland, Fairview is a small city on the bank of the Columbia River. The community is almost entirely residential, with a few small coffee shops and restaurants scattered among the suburban neighborhoods and larger shopping centers on the east side of town. Most residents live within walking distance of a park, pond, or lake, with ample opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the region’s lush natural surroundings.
Within just minutes of both Downtown Portland and the Cascade Mountains, you can easily hop into the city for work or a night out, or go off the grid for a weekend in the forests surrounding Mount Hood.

Property Ratings at Fairview Oaks Woods
Like the title says. Garbage overflows. Had a literal dumpster fire 1.5 months ago and the dumpster has still not been replaced. The no smoking policy is not enforced at all, even when you report violations or they see cigarette butts. The office staff are rude and have attitudes. Stay away.
With the raising rents across the Portland metro area, these lower income apsrmentw are extremely helpful. Even so, our rent has still been increasing every year as soon as our lease is up. Most the people who reside here are not friendly and don't follow any type or use common respect. People park in my single parking g space all the time and the office doesn't do anything(so I guess I can park anywhere?) There are barely any visitor parking spaces, half of which are always taken by people who have two cars for their residences. Another portion of the visitor spaces are occupied by the construction crews that have been working since September. There's another downside. Yes, construction is temporary, but they've been working since September, and in six months have only conlmpleted two buildings. Most units have had no balconies (part of what you're paying for) for almost two months. There is a plywood board covering the exits to the nonexistent balconies. All it takes is child running into it and it would come off. The screens are all missing, meaning you can't ventilate your unit well. There's no compensation for any of this, only a rent increase. There is ONE place for garbage and recycling in the entire complex. The garbage is a trash compactor, but it's full before garbage daypeople throw their trash down on the ground and leave it, making it hard to enter the trash place and there are nowhere near enough recycling bins. I only take my garbage and recycling out on garbage day or close to it, otherwise there just isn't room. Even though there is a playground on site and parks close by, tons of parents just let their children free roam without any supervision. If the complex cited these families, the problem would soon end. These children are arrogant and disrespectful, don't move out of the way of moving cars, and damage parked cars with their toys both left under cars and bounced or thrown at cars. This is a huge problem every sunny day, and no one does anything about it.
The good: First off I would like to say Fairview Oaks actually worked with us and helped get us our first apartment. Instead of calling us and telling us we were denied and hanging up (something we experienced for over 6 months of trying to find an apartment) they offered solutions that would help us get approved. It did not require a co-signer either. So there was that. Secondly I love the fact that there is a lot of variety living here. Lastly I love the affordability. We plan on staying here for another year or two. The bad: There is an ungodly amount of high levels of moisture in the air because its situated next to a river, lake and surrounded by streams. Be prepared for moisture/water related damage.
These apartments are great from the put side. A pool, play grounds, even a day care. But once you get here everything changes. The neighbors are not friendly. Most people let their dogs run loose even tho there is a lease policy. Each apartment gets one parking spot and there is not nearly enough guest parking. All in all, I would not recommend moving here. And I can't wait till my lease is up to move.
I love it here, this place is ideal to bring up a family.
